Agree with your review on the Thrustmaster TFRP Pedals: In neutral there is a sort of "stickiness" where you have to use force to get the pedals to move forward. Makes for a very uneven pedal movement and difficult to get aircraft on the centre line for takeoff or taxiing.

If you don't try it until now, put some vaseline or other grease on each metal pipe. I had the same problem and with grease it feels much more better.

@Sky Samurai You can use any grease that will not damage the plastic. I use normal vaseline. Grease for suspension forks should also work well, anyway it should stick well.

Thanks for the direct comparison. Recently, I got the BF 109 and taxiing that thing with but a controller or a twist rudder joystick is next to impossible since you have to rely on differential brakes to turn. Going for the Saitek pedals. I think the wider spacing is more comfortable in the end and the option to set the rudder tension is a big plus too.

I have never bought sim equipment before, beyond a heavily specialised tank gunner control handle from a private company that doesn't distribute online, this video was SO HELPFUL! Thank you, you are very well spoken and a helpful man. I appreciate your work and will be choosing the Saitek design!

I initially fixed the awful stickyness of the TM TFRP pedals with some silicone spray. This however made them too slippery.
Then I bit the bullet and ordered some Nyogel 767A from German Amazon and applied it. At first, it felt weird. Too much resistance at times, too little at others, but I just needed to wear it in. They're perfect now, except for the horrible creaking noises when in use. I know they're some of the cheapest rudder pedals you can buy, but they're still way too expensive for something that feels so cheap and plastic-y.

Great demonstration! Thank you much! You could also use Self-Adhesive Hook and Loop fastener, which i use to fix the left pedal of my kickdrum double pedal on carpet. Could work on non carpet floors, too, if you find one that comes with both sides of the hook and loop AND is self-adhesive. The one that i use on carpet is really strong and sticks to the metal plate forever.

Those thrustmaster pedals gave me pain and neuropathy in my legs. Unless you are very short or a kid they are worse than nothing.
If you want a decent rudder set you won't find it for cheap. Be prepared to spend if you plan to put serious time into using them. Ultimately I bit the bullet and got the thrustmaster pendular rudders. Expensive but I wish I had done it years ago.

Thrustmaster do their job until the cheap plastic at the base of the pedal snaps after 4 months of use because of the design of the pedal that applies pretty much all force coming from your foot to a very small area under the pedal where the pedal pillar connects to the sliding base. Definitely cannot recommend.
