I feel weird now, I sat all day yesterday trying to find a place to build in the snow dome and couldn't find one after a quick fly thru. then I spent about another 2hrs looking and had an idea in my head, "where would Syntac build?", and you actually built in the same spot as you. I now feel like I know most of your base locations requirements, large, flat space, on a cliff. keep up the vids and cant wait to see the next one.

@@bigcryptonyt4201 mods are actually from steam so I dont think that will happen with consoles
It was able to happen with fallout 4. So why couldn’t it happen with ark? Each player could use his own mods as long as the server owner allows mods. It could work if they’d actually try it.

For a build idea you should start making a taxidermy museum and by the end of the series (try and) have most of the animals/dinos/whatever-you-want-to-call-them taxidermied

For the awkward door coming out next to the cliff you could put a ceiling where the ramp is and then put a ramp connected to the ceiling along side the base and then put the railings
i started downloading ark again only cause of this dlc
add a little balcony on the cliff side to make it a little fancy

It just occurred to me, if you ever get a really epic fucking dangerous owl, you could name it "Owl That Hurts."
Get on ladder, get item ready to place, look down to bring it closer, then hit K and jump off ladder. If the item you're trying to place bounces away from you, because of low ceilings for instance hit C to bring it further in. Very easy once you know how. You had trouble placing because your camera angle was too high, which you can't see or adjust when you're in K mode.

You should make an upper loft, and build it around the giant forge, and then have pictures taken with the ark camera posted on canvas of everyone on the server.

The placing glitch is because you have to climb the ladder a little then try to place it, if you just hop on the ladder and then try to place something, it doesn’t work.
You should put a owl runway on the back of the house so they can swoop down the mountain and pick up speed.

It would be cool if you could do a cliff base in the snow biome. Only way up is flying and it would be hard for wild creatures to attack.
Hey syntac you should add a flight deck out to the side for your owls and so you can wingsuit also add a rope ladder so you can get back up or down p.s I love the vids keep them up

You should put a few points into fortitude since the temp in extinction is so hot. if you get it to 20 that should be more than enough

Hey syntac what server settings do u run for collection and everything
If you want to get 4 or more things out of the pods just get some stimulant and throw them all out at once. As long as you protect them and have enough stimulant, you can throw out any number creatures and they will be ready in under 10 minutes which is a lot faster than waiting out the cool down.
It would be nice if he showed a step by step instruction for this base.

When it doesn’t let you place things after doing the latter trick just look down a bit then it should let you place it

The balloons are meant for like when you're doing heavy supply runs and run out of inventory space/weight so you can 'carry' more and get more out of the supply run instead of making more trips
Syntac the ladder makes you look completely foward and that makes the structure "out of range". Look down a little bit to place It
I have been using a mod where you have pokeballs. It does have a bug that when you log off and log back in you sometimes get 2 of the same animals but it's for sure a mod I do not want to go without.

You should paint the outside wood cantaloupe color. I think it makes wood look so much better.
On the door that goes over The cliff just put a ceiling down and then put a stare off the side of the ceiling Effectively make a porch that overhangs across the cliff then you just have to put some pillars in so it looks supported and some railings so looks like I won't fall off it would actually make it look a lot cooler than if you just move the whole door

If I we're you i would build a platform out back for your flyers to sit on. But your base looks really good. Can you make electric lights on inside & a few outside that would make it look nice. And I would put up one of those wind power stations on the roof. So you won't have to use a Lot of gas to power your base. Think of it as free power. But it's just food for throught.

At that last door you could have just put down another stone foundation then the ramp and had it like another small porch. With the railing I think it would have looked a lot nicer.
