I haven't played much extinction, my game seems to be bugged as it only let's me level creatures 4 times no matter what so I've kinda sworn off it until they've released most of the updates to see if it fixes itself. Sounds like I should just stay away😂

Without sounding harsh its actually good for us viewers to see youtubers fail every now and then, reminds people that the game is hard and its just the experience and dedication you guys have that makes it look easy
Tell me about it. I remember starting a year ago after watching a dozen hours or so of info vids, and a ton of Neebs (They're the reason I caved and bought it). Thought I was headed into a game where I could freely do whatever I want. I immediately ran to the jungle on the island with an axe. Raptors were supposed to be chumps according to the TH-camrs I had watched. I learned very quickly. Lol. Oh, and when I thought taming a spino at low levels would be easy because some TH-camr danced around it and downed it within a minute or two. Yea, another respawn happened. Seeing how Ark really is, is good for new guys.
Devs: This is the hardest drop of all, it can be only done by cooperating with other people.

purple is for the big boys. I've made it to lvl 10 with just 2 fire wyverns with 35k health and both hitting for 2.7 and 3k damage. a 100% imprinted reaper rex, yuty, and 100% imprinted giga.
Its purple and i use his rates and beat it
purple landed outside my house in the front and backyard. right next to the structure in the swamp next to green ob. threw my whole house at both and got to 13. bailed when a reaper hit me out of the sky and my dragon went from 29k to 10k due to fall damage. I've had the same dozen dragons since ragnarok and dont want to lose them.
Me and my friends (we are just a little, private server for us three girls) tried one the other day (two days ago?) and actually dragged the whole freaking army across the map!
We had
Two reaper kings
eight rexes (everyone fully mutated)
one yuti (my mount)
a whole flock of fully mutated argys
like....fifteen Velonas (one mounted)
one owl (mounted and leading the argys)
And a bunch of Thylos.
Every creature with a mastercraft saddle, minimum.
The shield broke in the last round...but we won, it was a tough fight, tho.
Edit: It was a good strategy to put the dinos in little packs that guard the ways. Use one dino as 'anker', put it on ignore group whistles and make the rest of the group follow it. Thn just whistle everything on agressive and the dinos will do the rest. With three big groups like that you should be able to solo handle a drop.
Dang, I would never have the patience, I don't have s+ so I just make transmitter everywhere. I would recommend it, it's pretty fast

Uhm let me recall. SOme crypods, of course. A blueprint for each tek armor part, two for the helmet. A, accendant tek sword blueprint. Some veggie cakes, like 100 metall walls, lots of riot and metall armor, which I grinded up because the Gacha gives better stuff. Yeah that's 'bout it. Not very breathtaking when you already unlocked the whole Tek stuff but not bad, I guess? I still think the element veins are better and kinda easier and they spawn everywhere so you can just take your army from your base all the way. (My base is near one of the entrances from the city)

Flying, with an owl, and some patience you can get the army all the way pretty easy. The drop was near the oil lake, so we had to go around the city, the whole way from the entrance near the forbidden zone. I got there pretty easy, didn't lose any dinos on the way. Only going back I lost a whole Velona squad which I picked up later.
Well, we have s+ too but with so many dinos I rather just drag them all the way than upload and download them.

Dang, that’s pretty good. I recently let all my official stuff despawn after about 1.5k hours because I was tired of being an official slave and because there’s no realistic way to beat any of the bosses solo so idk if that’s better than an official drop rate. Speaking of rates, what’s y’alls loot rate set to?

best way i did a supply drop, surround the drop with behemoth gates and carry extra doors so if one breaks just replace it. then some velonasaurs on sentry mode surrounding it. ALSO a tek shield works amazingly. place it inside on max

S+ Spike walls can have the snapping disabled by pressing 'G' after which they act like vanilla spikes that can be picked up.
the wolves did not have their pack boost that I could see and even adding in a yuty might be a good idea too. An army of rexes and a yuty (the old standby) might work out better too.
For the last video otters can carry multiple artifacts
We learned a few things today:
1. Lola is become God
2. Syntac English can’t
3. Corrupted Dino’s are no joke, and they go after drops that don’t even have element in them
Red drops can easily be soloed with one rex with 40k health preferably 50k, decent saddle but not required (you can get them from any cave drops on extinction even blue), 1.5k melee or more preferably 2k. To max a rex on extinction do the forest cave. It respawns super fast. Don't worry about destroying the drop with the rex I usually end the OSD with 50k health still on the drop. Velonasaurs are good but really not a great alternative to rexes because of their low health and their worthlessness if they lose stamina.
Btw turrets do only 10 damage to these corrupted creatures, its not worth it
For the next supply drop it may help if you made a couple of the four legged defense unit
Enforcers are useless against this kind of damage, i mean that spino did like 800 damage or something
For people who can't read the map, its at 55 85

You should go with a paracer, find a wild one with 40+ pts into health, perfect tame it, make babies, 20 mutations into hp, then imprint. Give it a 100+ armor platform saddle and put 8 OP velonasaurs on turret mode on top of it and ride the paracer around :DDD

Surround the drop with 2-3 layers of metal gates between rounds and use kentros and dimorphs as your battle dinos. Ride a yuty to encourage roar your dinos

Syntac I would recommend either raising up more velonasaur like 30 or get some rexes/ Tek rexes and breed them for melee and health , and if you have the element for it could give some of them tell saddles but not sure if they will shoot with the saddle if your not riding them.

I recommend using Behemoth gates, I know of several servers where every OSD is surrounded by a ring of Behemoth gates, and for some reason corrupted creatures can't destroy them. (Wyverns, Pteranadons, and Dimorphs can still get in ocasionally)

If corrupted dino's can't break your behemoth gates then your game is bugged.
@@aussies4trump176 on all the servers I know of corrupted dinos can wreck anything but Behemoth gates, it sure seems like a bug but it's been a persistent bug. On one server the alpha tribe jumped on all the sites almost emediatly and set up turrets inside so while anyone can do the OSD only they could easily get the loot.
@@endgame38 That's quite odd, I've never seen behemoth gate that can't be destroyed by corrupted but then again I haven't played on a lot of servers.
Why don't you tame 2 high level Daeodons (pigs), breed them and use them as auto healers? Could have kept your dinos alive. 4 at the same time, healing like mad should hold or at least stay alive for the first 3 rounds as well as keep your damage dealers on higher health.
How are you not getting pulled off your mounts by raptors..... that's what always gets me.
You can tell he doesn't get nervous about losing tames. I would've been riding my sad ass back on the last velo before I lost it all.
Great vid syntac! As much as I would love to see you do it with axeman you can totally do it solo! Time for some tankier dinos! Rexes and spinos make it way more possible solo and gigas make it too easy. On very similar settings I solo red with 2 gigas, 4 rexes and 12 velonasaurs (all bred but not as well as yours). But you could totally do it with just bred rexes or spinos. Leashes arent necessary but they make it wayyyyy easier to control your dinos. I just set them up in 3/4 places depending on the landscape around the drop.
I've done a floating one... It registers as on the ground for the corrupt creatures to hit but I had to stand on a quetz to open it.
It's time to build the tech techs. Add the cannon dealing 1500 damage or make it to a mega mech. Or get dozens of mech rexs
all you need is one good velonasaur with stam and melee pretty much, stay by drop and just tail swing away. if you want to increase chance of not dying just get one more guy with opposite gender for the buff.

Syntac, the best method for orbital drops are to use battle Rexes. Switch them to aggresive in the centre next to a leash on "high" distance. They wreck face against everything and do not spread out from one another and die separately. Finally, one or two people defend the perimeter on enforcers. Easy
Syn, hit N on your keyboard, it turned off the hud, but leaves your health and steam meters and crosshair.

Spino/giga army is what I used
Wave 8 purple drop is when I ended it cause everyone was about to die. The spinos claw swipe helps with flying targets and the gigas are self explanatory

There is a special method I have found and you need about 4 or more velontasaurs

I lost both my fully mutated managarmr to a meteor they both had 35 k health and died instantly
Make a platform quetzel with a bunch of velonasaures on it and hover over the drop
you could use the teleporter to get your army to the drop next time.
Use the shield as Time to set everything up. That might give you more time.
i wonder, if a rock-elemental could help to defend those drops ...

you should do this with a bunch of enforcers or something(although it might be hard to find high levels)
I have done several RED (not purple) with 12 top level imprinted velos solo. Health 20k Mele 2k, rest of points in stamina. Put Journeyman or better saddles on em and you won't loose a single one. Purple wrecked me at wave 3... lost a bunch to that and ran away.

Some days I just wish I could get a TEK style rex saddle that has miniguns and uses bullets instead of plasma and element and engram requirements.

I live in the sunken forest on official and I’ve got a huge stone base, a 211 diplo, 3 lvl 200+ gachas some beavers and pachys and a raptor squad
try putting the velonasaurs on turret with a load of Rex's or giggas on aggressive and a Dino leash
Now that’s a lot of mutations
Quick Tip: Tek does increased damage to corrupted creatures, make a bunch of high lvl enforcers and it will make it easier :)

Heyo, Syntac, If you wanna try an easy(ish) location, there's one up by the sunken forest that bottlenecks the land dinos to one approach (cliffs on three sides that dinos don't spawn up on, also the flyers seemed to only come from the same side). It's a much less frantic defense than covering two or three routes.I don't remember exact coords, but you can see the pathway to the forest from the drop.
Theres no limit as to how many dinos you can bring as far as im aware. Just need more velonasaurs and some daeodons since those can heal without having people ride them
You gotta get the Craptor Army... Maybe they could do it!
Imma be honest, I just solo'd a red drop today, and I only brought 5 velons, barely mutated (1 in health, 1 in stam, 1 in weight) They all had 10K health, The one I was riding had 5K stam, and the rest of the levels were in melee. The ones weren't riding had all their points in melee except the 9 that got to 10K health. They weren't completely leveled and all of them had prim saddles. I lost the 4 that I wasn't riding, the one I was riding almost died, but I won, somehow.
Velanosaurs use stamina when in turret mode, and melee damage does nothing on them.
Do stam and hp only.
+Syntac Thyla's or even Dire Bears are better for drops than Dire Wolves because they have saddles. The spike walls are no good because they will kill your own tames and the walls have low health.
Tame a yuti and 20 mutated rexes
Spike walls do damage to your creatures too...that was a BAD idea

I did a red drop solo this past weekend. I did it, but, man, I felt like passing out afterwords, and my finger was SO sore from constantly pressing the trigger button.
You need to be using daeodon + Yutyrannus combo. Mass heal + mass buff. Megatheriums hit hard. Maybe just you riding the velonosaur.

its better when the velo stay on a fix point in turret mode, and blockers like Rexes etc stay in the way.
Syntac you could've used that high cliff for deploying some turrets and adding behemoth's iron gate from the radius of the drop its 15 foundations distance but you can deploy it by the 12th foundations.
Spike walls, stone pillars, and enforcers is what I use for single player
Should of brought along a snow owl to heal your Dino between waves
In order to take the higher level drops on, you’re going to need lots of rexes, kentros and yutys to just shred the crowds

Some of our tribe members decided to take out our only 3 gigas to a red drop alone, 2 of them died, gg have fun taming some more gigas xD

I did a purple drop with a spino, 3 rex's, 4 allos an I lost all of them except the spino which I was on. Those reapers r brutal with that acid burn. The fire wyverns were ok but those reapers.

You should definited tame and breed some gigas for the red and purple drops. Its what my tribe did.

Breed Gigas again and use those to help with the drops. You got nice imprint bonuses,that should prevent enraging
You were sooooooo unlucky....DAMN!! The moment I saw 3 enraged trikes, I was like...GG.... I usually just have 1 enraged trike, but I have 9 attack mutations on my velonosaurs 15k health and max rest attack, and I use a few mutated rexes (altough be aware that rexes can 'trample' the drops)
BTW you can get a beaver at green obelisk
On my single player I tried a purple with 1 velonosaur with infinite stats on the Dino only got dismounted by something wave 4 in front of an enraged Rex! Nearly shat myself but remounted in the nick of time! Got to wave 7 then ended it for great loot.
