The most powerful and underrated boss dinos are Megalosaurus at night. They have extremely high DPS dealing 75 damage per attack and HP on par with the Rex. People don't usually include them because they're hard to find and only work at night.
As always, nice video. I also have a suggestion for video. I love when my fav dinos comes in list Can you do a vs video about Evo Rex, Rex, acrocanthrosaur for ase and best flying dinos to breed? Also how strong is our deinotherium against other herbivores😅
I don't know if I'll do any ASE video. I am waiting for the acro to be added in ASA, presumably in scorched earth. I'm currently Woking on some mode showcases, but a video including the deinotherium sounds really intriguing.
@@SpartacusSurvives Hey, no problem, man, and thanks for the reply. Also, how about the new spotlight creature, Draconis Galaucus? Have you seen it? It is beautiful.
I remember when my tribe did tek cave, the first thing our server asked what our rex stats were. Only to say we didn’t use them at all and said we did it with theris!
Lets remember that the Chali's rock deals 100 base damage, same as a Mosa's Bite ☝️🤓 also the Mammoth can apply intimidation debuff to the bosses, being extremely helpful as support
Nice list, I'm really liking your videos particularly your underrated Will it Boss vids. You've earned a sub. Also this Information is ever changing so may not remain the same in 10 years... but the Spino is currently only the longest Theropod it hasnt been the heaviest and therefore largest for many years. (Because of how mass works.) The Spinosaurus now has 2 species... the original Spinosaurus aegyptiacus. is the 7th largest and the newly classified and larger species is Spinosaurus indet. which is the 5th largest theropod at this point in time. Theres a decent vid called "The largest killers to walk the earth" by a youtuber called Mikailodon. If you're interested.
@@SpartacusSurvives all good man. It can actually be surprisingly hard to find up to date info sometimes because the search results mix in with the older and more opened results. I get most of my info from paleontology TH-cam channels and occasionally reading the absurdly long papers they link.
Since Ark additions is somewhat common enough of a mod to ask. Do you have an opinion on where you would rank some of those creatures if any of them fit on the list?
Updated May 2024 since I was actually stupid. Ark additions vs Bosses part 2: Ceratosaurus: 10/10 against Alpha Megapithecus and Broodmother. Even the Manticore. Not recommended for the Dragon still. They're healing is absolutely incredible. And they can get better saddles now that they are official. I srly underestimated them. Deinosuchus: 10/10 Same deal but without the healing. Massive health and damage though. Deinotherium: one of the best boss killers. 10 of them should more than enough for the Dragon with good saddles and stats once they become official. 11/10. Just having 2 for buffs is already OP. Acrocanthosaurus: they can enter boss arenas currently in the mod form. If the still do when official: Good for all except the Dragon. 9/10
Even with this comment being 3 months old I have to ask what stats on the ceratosaurus to run them through boss battles and when is the deinotherium becoming official?
nice video , can i ask if you wil do something similar but with modded dinos or some other things that includes modded dinos i miss your ase videos about the modded creatures like ceratosaurus and paleo giga
They sound very good, but the damage done by the dragon breath is based on a health percentage, not fixed damage. It might be close, but I don't think they can win.
Rhynos imo are top 6 but like you said they need to be ridden by a rider For example the dragon all the players ride rhynos and then thezis to command. Id put it over stego and mammoth let alone due to damage
As a Theri main from ASE, I pretty much consider them the best dino the game. The ONE downside I must say they have in bossfight is that they are smaller than the yuti and so the bosses are likely to target it over the army unless you get them trapped with the theris. Also they are more susceptible to knockback than rexes and spino, but they make up for that with their superior mobility. I think mammoths could be higher on the list if they bothered fixing their hitbox and movement, TLC gave rex the ability to walk over everything but god forbids the mammoth can do that too.
I didn't try them in the Island boss fights in ASE, but on ASA on Official servers at least, the boss arenas as instances that always count as day. I zone in when night starts and the megalosaurus all get the daytime debuff in the boss arena even though I entered at night on the island.
Evo Giga is easily top if you can get ur hands on a few then your set I used 3 high level Evo Giga's with good saddles and took out the Brood and Mega but I needed like 5 for the Dragon

I hate Therizinos. How they look, sound, move, everything. But it looks that I'm forced to use them against the Dragon with its BS firedamage. Or Pyromane perhaps?
Thanks! Been playing Ark for 7 years and never done a boss fight. Gonna use this list to finally do it!
Glad I could help! Have Fun!

Exactly this and you can get bosses to get stuck on them because they will go after the highest drag weight dino
Hope you had a great Holiday as well bro ! Can't wait to see the dinos you picked
Thanks man! Yeah, I had a blast!
A pack of allos with the pack boots and the fast breeding is sometimes a good top 2 spot depending on the boss

Yeah, but even if the base damage of the rock trow is higher, you lose dps overall. Also, I think the intimidation debuff does not work on bosses.
It does, at least on ASE, I dont test it yet on ASA

I'll think about making a separate list with those creatures. Thing is moded creatures are usually much stronger.
Ceratosaurus hands down, easily one of the strongest boss dinos in the game

I'll think about it. I am going to look into some mods in an upcoming video. 👌
thanks spartan@@SpartacusSurvives
Nice video, which spino stats do you use for bosses? (Broodmother or Megapithecus)
Hmmm... I haven't used spinos in ascended in boss fights in a while. They are currently bugged... the bite dps is better than the swipe.
megalosour what about him. in the broodmother its in a cave, so do they get the night buff?
They will get their buff, as long as you start the fight during the night.
@@SpartacusSurvives arent they just great then? I heard they 1vs1 a rex at night
They should've been a Honorable mention. they are good, but i just find the others way easier to tame and you can use them regardless on night/day
Now top 10 dinos for scorched earth and the center 🎉🎉
i used to think for sooooooo long that spinos base health is 980 i think it should be pumped up to atleast 1100
my 2 evo gigas that has 44k hp and their bites do over 4k damage and has saddles with 296 armor, would they kill the dragon?
They sound very good, but the damage done by the dragon breath is based on a health percentage, not fixed damage. It might be close, but I don't think they can win.
Just started playing ark and you help a lot thank you 🫡✅ awesome videos and accent (I’m in California USA)
Glad I can help new people! Enjoy the game, bro:))
What are the best stats for a theri to go in a boss fight like hp and melee?
I'd go at least 800% melee and 24k health after upgrades. with the best saddles you can get.
Rhynos imo are top 6 but like you said they need to be ridden by a rider
For example the dragon all the players ride rhynos and then thezis to command.
Id put it over stego and mammoth let alone due to damage
I personally haven't tried the ridden rhinos strat, since I play single-player. This is the sole reason I had o put this strategy lower than those 2.
Yeah rhyno are God if ridden but so is mammoth. Don't underrate my big boi😏
Gigas and rexs are both bigger carnivorous dinosaurs than spino irl
Can you take down a boss with dodos ?
Negative, with the way stats work, it would be impossible with out mods or cheats.
Would love to, but there is no chance:))) Maybe a surprise appearance on the "will it boss" series. :)))
@@SpartacusSurvives would be cool, maybe max level with max mutations possible in the game and a huge number.

Yeah, that hit box makes no sense. Rexes can walk 70° slopes, but the mammoth can't step over a rock.
Heard Megalosarus shreds the bosses way faster than rexs and ther but only works at night which is its problem

Not in ASA yet
