I LOVE how so many people are hearing this great Song for the first time the past few years and are all over joyed! Some Songs and Memories will Live forever!!!!
This song was for the band Climax in 1973, but it was not a hit. It was I believe did not make the top 100. So The Righteous Brothers sang it in 1974 and it was a hit. It hit number 3 on the charts. So very cool. Love the show Dani as always
One of the most touching songs. Just thinking about this leaves you in awe. How amazing it would be! I also love the line, "If you believe in forever, then life is just a one nightstand." The older I get the faster it goes. It's so true.
Bobby Hatfield was my cousin on my fathers side of the family, but I never got to meet him due to my parents divorce. Anyway great reaction to a song I loved when I was a youngster. Love you tender my favorite BLOND... LOL
This is a great song by them and sounds quite different compared to their soulful mellow love songs in the '60's. The Righteous Brothers are able to sing and perform soulful love songs like Unchained Melody, You've Lost That Lovin Feeling as well as a rock & roll song.
Actually was their comeback in 74. The Dynamic Duo never disappoints. Bill Medley (deep voice) is still performing but with Bucky Heard. Sadly Bobby Hatfield passed in 2003, sadly missed by family and fans of him. Was one of the greatest singers ever, no one can do Unchained Melody as he did it.
I was born and raised in Orange County California and so were Righteous Brothers plus several other singers a great place for growing up and seeing great music. One I went with a good friend to see some friends of his that had started a band at a club close by so we got there and got a seat on a long bench after sitting there for few minutes I turned to my friend and said I think I sitting next to Buddy Miles the drummer he looked over and said I think you're right when intermission came and Buddy stood up there was Bill Medley next to him.
THANK YOU, DANI... i've been listening to this song since it came out and, i still LOVE this song. The only thing is, is that everytime i listen to this song i must wipe the tears from my face , cause i cry everytime i listen to this song!!! Maybe i'm just a big wimp, but hey i can't help it it just hits me hard, this song, anyway ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAYS... LOVE YA, DANI. ❤❤❤
When Bill Medley sings this song now, he changes the lyrics to "if there's a rock and roll heaven, Bobby's got a hell of a band." And on Bobby's headstone, the line from this song "if you believe in forever, then life is just a one night stand" is engraved.
My favorite line in secular music is, If you believe in forever life is just a one night stand." I do believe in forever and it puts all of the crap we go through in perspective.
This was a comeback hit and, I believe, the last chart entry for them. It was perfectly timed for release. The wardrobe was typical of the time as well, being carried on in the 1977 Saturday Night Fever. Wonder if they were wearing the heeled shoes as well?
Had been much too long since I heard this great song. I like to believe all the great singers in heaven got together to pour their talents into Angelina Jordan. Nevertheless, this was a great request.
Hey, buy the way, I have always thought that there should be a sequel or follow up to this great song incorporating the many other great singers we have lost since this song was recorded. Including our boy ELVIS among the new ones. Maybe getting a great female voice to write and sing the continuation- That BLONDIE,would be you! Watcha think???
@@Jack63505 WOW! never knew... THANK YOU- So maybe another update for so many that have left us since us 1992! Still would be a new hit sung by DANI...
I would love to see you do a reaction to Over the Rainbow by Eva Cassidy, unlike any version you’ve ever heard! Voted greatest song of all time in 1991’ love to see if you agree.

Great reaction Dani. If there's a rock n roll heaven, Bobby Hatfield is surely there.

Dani Thanks for reacting to my request! It was an amazing song!
I love this song. I wish Bobby was still around, and they could update this with the much larger band in heaven now.
I never really heard of that song Rock n roll heaven. But it is good though.🙂
How can I offer a reaction request?

Very clever how they used heaven and hell.
Thanks for the reminder of this classic, Dani. I just posted the Righteous Brothers' video to my Facebook for the enjoyment of my friends.

Sorry everyone, but i think this is their worst ever song, if there was a bucket near me...well you know
