Loved your reaction. Bobby actually has "if you believe in forever than life is just a one night stand" on his grave. Also Dick Clark had The Righteous Brothers on the 25 th anniversary of American Band Stand in 1981 and they sang an updated version of this song with Elvis added to it. You need to check it out.. They were both good friends with Elvis.
Glad you appreciated the RB honoring these artists. Just imagine how it felt hearing this song so soon after their tragic deaths. Very touching. (Tho I'm glad I hadn't seen them wearing those '70s duds!! lol!)
I grew up in the 60's and 70's and the first time I heard the Righteous Brothers on the radio I thought they were a black band. When I seen them on TV I said Wow. They were called Blue eyed soul back in the day..✌✌
The Righteous Brothers stopped performing together in the late Sixties. They tried doing solo records and duets with other people, but with little success. When they were presented with the idea of reuniting years later to do this song, they balked at it. They thought that the song was corny, and didn't want to do it. They were offered a boat-load of money, and they took it. It became one of their biggest hits. They broke up again not too long after this charted. And reunited years later before Bobby passed away in 2003.
Great singers sporting their Daddy Bods and looking mighty good. Thank you for your great reaction. They have another version that was performed on the American Bandstand Reunion Show where their friend Elvis was included in the tribute. That brought a tear to my eyes.
John Mellencamp has a similar tribute song where he names a lot of the musicians from the 60s who have passed. The song is called "R.O.C.K. In the USA". It's worth a listen.
The line " If you believe in forever, life is just a one-night stand" is carved on Bobby's grave marker. When Bill sings this now he finishes it "Bobby's got a Helluva band"
Great song. It includes the names of a lot of deceased singers such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, Jim Croce & Bobby Darin. This song has been rewritten a number of times to include other singers as they passed away. They later added Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Keith Moon, Roy Orbison, Jackie Wilson, Ricky Nelson, Dennis Wilson, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Cass Elliot, Stevie Ray Vaughan etc.
@@doloresschultz8393 Operator is One of his best. Also, "Time In A Bottle", "I Got A Name", "I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song", "It Doesn't Have To Be That Way".
You will love Moody Blues - Nights in Blue Satin (I think is one title); and there’s Kris Kristofferson (many to choose from, group called The Highwayman- country/Western includes Willie Nelson, you’ll enjoy, promise.
For Jim Croce, it is pronounced "Crow chee". As always, I love your reactions and the way you two interact with each other. No false pretenses or "glamming/showing-off" for the camera. Every video of yours I watch I getting the feeling of..."This is who we are! Off camera, On camera - doesn't matter!"

Bill added Bobby's name when he sings it with his partner.
When Bill now sings this song he adds Bobby's name at the end.
Man, reading that kind of chocked me up. Good for Bill.
Love this song! Kind of sad when you think about all the great singers we've lost throughout the ages.
Bobby Hatfield being one of them now. . .
Oh man, these guys could sing the phone book & sound awesome.💕💕. Bill & bobby are surely talented. Great pick guys 👍. 🤩

I believe in forever, and I have seen my life pass very quickly. I have always loved this song, and I love your reactions ❤️.

When we were teenagers, we all felt ten feet tall and bulletproof. Jim Croce is pronounced crow-chee.

You guys should check out their song Dream On!!!
The sad part is so many wonderful singers died needlessly.

When you think of all the hundreds of millions of souls these artists entertained…tickets to the show in heaven are going to go for a premium!🤣
Another great tribute song from the 60's 70's is "Abraham Martin and John" by Dion
It's an orchestra now!

Jim Croce (Crow-chee) has a great catalog of songs. Some about interesting characters, others that are deeply meaningful. All are good.
Urge you to che😊ck Jim Croche (operator)!
Very different from Bill. & Bobby.
Also, Kris Kristofferson- Why me, lord?
Al Greene - How do you mend a broken heart ❤
