Hope you guys enjoy this first bit of gameplay of the Samsung OLED G9, the plan is to shoot videos every day so make sure to comment below what you wanna see next :)
Important question, does 240 hz work with nvidia graphic cards now, because with NEO there were problems (it worked only with nvidia) and if the game doesnt support 32:9 i heard that in NEO as well HDR doesnt work on lower aspect ratio, is this the case with this monitor as well or all of those were fixed ? Thank You
Curious to see what your settings are for the monitor, been struggling to figure out color balance / hdr settings / etc all on the samsung itself. I got this monitor too this week and can't figure out what settings everything should be.
Got this monitor yesterday and it is really hard to show on camera just how good it is. How have you been finding the brightness of the monitor so far? I've come from a G9 Neo so the hit to brightness has took some getting used to.
Yeah your definitely right on that front, had to reshoot like 3 times to get some footage that somewhat captured it’s greatness. It’s fine to me tbh, the addition of perfect blacks and more vibrant colors more then makes up for the somewhat dimmer image.
@@LordCivickOG Could you give your impression of G9 OLED vs G9 Neo in approximately one month? Do you still possess G9 Neo to perform a direct side-by-side comparison? It would be very nice.
@@LordCivickOG Definetly! That would be great to compare this side by side with the G9 NEO the same way you have it in the video. WHere the camera is backed up so we see the monitor.
Thanks for posting this, had some interest in the monitor, and forgive me if this has been already mentioned in the video, but do you do any productivity work on this monitor, and if so, what sort of care(apart from what is built-in to the monitor) do you take to lower the chances of burn in?
Hello, how you doing man? What do you think provides better PC gaming experience? G9 49" qd-oled or S95C 55 " tv? i mostly play cooperative and singleplayer games and occasionally i emulate games, but i do usually play battlefiled, cod, csgo and PvE tactical shooters with my friends. I have also been gaming on VR since 2019, i have never experienced motion sickness, so super-ultrawide most likely wont make me motion sick. Thanks in advance brother.
been really interested in this monitor of this seize, got an 35 inch widescreen currently, but what always kinda bug me and gets my attention is the fact that you have this fishbowl effect ( sides getting stretched in games )... will be following this :D
Before the strike rework, that was one of the easiest grandmasters in the game. 3 rockets could finish the boss before even getting to the top of the elevator
I already have Samsung oled G9, and i'm thinking of getting the Asus PG32UCDM, is it worth it? or should I just stay with Samsung G9? I wanna get to PG32UCDM so that i can enjoy 4K but i'm not sure if 4K worth it. is it worth it ?
I think for gaming it’s good, for regular use productivity other then photo or video editing idk if I’d recommend it. And I sit maybe 2 feet away from it. I really like brightness the contrast and color vibrancy more then make up for it.
Hey could you setup the ls50 metas to the left and right of the g9 and see if the 2 speakers can build you a center image and still work even though its a curved screen? So center image capability always work when you toe speakers into you and when youre not using a center channel. So im wondering would a 6.1 setup still work with this g9 or would the curve ruin the left and right speaker position/imaging capability
Thanks for this video! I recently bought the Neo G9 and now I'm just waiting for it to come in the mail. This game looks beautiful as is but at 32:9 its on a whole other level
I have the original G9 which is freesync/G sync. I was looking at purchasing the G9 OLED But it seems to just be advertised as freesync. Just curious does g sync work with this monitor?
Can you do Warzone with this monitor and GPU? I'm getting the 4090, this monitor, and the Ryzen 7 7800x3d tho (I'm building an ITX and the i9 just runs too hot for the small case). I want to know the max FPS I can get and resolution. You have the best comparable setup to my future setup.

Ive been trying to see what apex legends looks like on this monitor and the fov settings changed. Its supposedely not built for 21:9 , 31:9 support but it still works.
@@LordCivickOG I got the S95C but I want something like this for sure but little scared of the downgrade in resolution. Based on your gameplay footage it looks great though.
It's definitely less immersive. I don't have G9 OLED, but I have a 34" 1500R and a 49" 1000R. When comparing the exact same video games in 21:9 aspect ratio on the 34" and 21:9 on the 49" (which is, of course, possible), 21:9 on the 49" feels more immersive.
@@RasmusKarlsson The advantages of OLED are more saturated colors (though they may appear less natural since the majority of games are mastered in sRGB, resulting in sun-kissed faces, unnatural foleage etc., and despite this fact, many people still appreciate this effect). The blacks are blacker (but only in dark areas, particularly noticeable in dark games like Resident Evil, etc.). Mini-LEDs, on the other hand, offer significantly brighter and more impactful visuals (revealing more details in bright areas), making bright scenes look more natural. It would be very interesting to hear the reviewer's impressions in one month because initial impressions can be misleading (as we all know, new displays often tend to seem the best :)).
