Just had my Band 2 Administrator/Receptionist interview yesterday afternoon and was offered the job a few hours later in the evening! I'm so incredibly happy to have gotten the job as this is the first interview I've had in a couple years since having to take time off from work due to health issues. I watched a handful of NHS specific videos on this channel and downloaded the 24 Q&As for Band 2 in this video's description. I have never felt more prepared for an interview and I was told that I interviewed really well! Thank you so much for these brilliant resources Richard!!!

@@taslimchowdhury431 Thanks! I bought the NHS Band 2 Interview questions and these worked amazingly for me. Tbh, one of the Qs I got asked in my interview was basically the exact same as one of the Q's in the Band 2 prep and the rest I got asked were very similar. In addition to learning the 6 NHS values, if you're interviewing for a specific NHS Trust, I'd also learn your Trust's values. Hope this is helpful and good luck with your interview😊

What do you think are some of the main characteristics you need to have in order to be a cleaner? How much time would it take for you to clean a room? This job implies lots of physical effort, how do you feel about that? What kind of cleaning products do you normally use at home? As you can see I commented to this post 6 months ago and I started my job just 2 weeks ago. It can take ages in many cases. However I met people who started the job in 2 months after they passed the interview. I hope this helps!

I watched this video alongside your other videos here on TH-cam. I watched them numerous times preparing for my interview for Healthcare Support Worker Band 2 role. The good news now is that I just got a call from the NHS Trust that I got the job and that the Assessment Panel loved my responses. Two managers on the panel wanted me on their ward and I was given the opportunity to choose the ward I wanted. This is the best news of the year. There's a good basis here for interview technique. I wouldn't take so long on the answers and wouldn't use NHS Terminology either. But being able to relate specific NHS related situations to your own experiences is critical. I was interviewed for a Housekeeper role and when challenged about my lack of housekeeping experience, I was able to state I'd always been a volunteer in my previous retail career for housekeeping jobs such as , vacuuming, cleaning toilets, wipe g down displays, etc. I got the job...

I just had my interview via remote. And can I just say how much your videos have helped me! They have been very valuable as you provided a type of blueprint for what interviewers normally ask. I tend to get really nervous in interviews, but today I felt like I hacked into the system and knew exactly what they were looking for. I don’t know know yet if I got the job, but it is already a huge achievement for me to have experienced the interview experience as smoothly as I never thought was possible. Hello Richard I just had a video interview it helped a lot your tips and ideias and did my best to anwer 10 questions to the panel..unfortunately their questions were very different and more detailed and the way they way they asked I got really stuck .They just called me this evening saying I did not got this job as my answer in two specific questions were not correct . And yes Nhs values they dis adk I got stuck and could not explain .Never mind im glad I still like my current job .Big Thank you anyway .At least I tried and feel more confident for more interviews to come .😊🙏🏻😇

@@sophiejane1700 there was one or two questions asked from the clip like why I wanted the role, demonstrating the NHS values and using the 6 C’s embedded in my answer, and asked if I had an understanding about the role, but they also asked if I could demonstrate when there were scenarios where I went above and beyond to looking after someone during their time in hospital, recognising if someone feels like if they are not being attended to and how to reassure them that they’re not left behind, and if there was a situation where there was a dispute with colleagues and how I would help resolve the situation. But it’s most important to just relax and be yourself! I hope this advice helps you! Good luck and let me know how you get on! 🍀 x

I notice in your list of band 2 you have phlebotomy. I know that this would normally be band 3. Band 3 being those care assistant usually employed to assist in some nursing tasks outwith the Band 2 remit.

I am unsure whether to use yours or the one in this document linked with the job application? Thanks

As nhs bank are you still able to sometimes do 37.5 in a week like a normal full time work hour would do? And are you able to be both full time and still be apart of bank?

Tbh, one of the Qs I got asked in my interview was basically the exact same as one of the Q's in the Band 2 prep and the rest I got asked were very similar. In addition to learning the 6 NHS values, if you're interviewing for a specific NHS Trust, I'd also learn your Trust's values. Hope this is helpful and good luck with your interview😊

As you can see I commented to this post 6 months ago and I started my job just 2 weeks ago.
It can take ages in many cases. However I met people who started the job in 2 months after they passed the interview.

I watched this video alongside your other videos here on TH-cam. I watched them numerous times preparing for my interview for Healthcare Support Worker Band 2 role. The good news now is that I just got a call from the NHS Trust that I got the job and that the Assessment Panel loved my responses. Two managers on the panel wanted me on their ward and I was given the opportunity to choose the ward I wanted. This is the best news of the year. There's a good basis here for interview technique. I wouldn't take so long on the answers and wouldn't use NHS Terminology either. But being able to relate specific NHS related situations to your own experiences is critical. I was interviewed for a Housekeeper role and when challenged about my lack of housekeeping experience, I was able to state I'd always been a volunteer in my previous retail career for housekeeping jobs such as , vacuuming, cleaning toilets, wipe g down displays, etc. I got the job...

I just had my interview via remote. And can I just say how much your videos have helped me! They have been very valuable as you provided a type of blueprint for what interviewers normally ask. I tend to get really nervous in interviews, but today I felt like I hacked into the system and knew exactly what they were looking for. I don’t know know yet if I got the job, but it is already a huge achievement for me to have experienced the interview experience as smoothly as I never thought was possible. Hello Richard I just had a video interview it helped a lot your tips and ideias and did my best to anwer 10 questions to the panel..unfortunately their questions were very different and more detailed and the way they way they asked I got really stuck .They just called me this evening saying I did not got this job as my answer in two specific questions were not correct .
And yes Nhs values they dis adk I got stuck and could not explain .Never mind im glad I still like my current job .Big Thank you anyway .At least I tried and feel more confident for more interviews to come .😊🙏🏻😇

@@sophiejane1700 there was one or two questions asked from the clip like why I wanted the role, demonstrating the NHS values and using the 6 C’s embedded in my answer, and asked if I had an understanding about the role, but they also asked if I could demonstrate when there were scenarios where I went above and beyond to looking after someone during their time in hospital, recognising if someone feels like if they are not being attended to and how to reassure them that they’re not left behind, and if there was a situation where there was a dispute with colleagues and how I would help resolve the situation.
But it’s most important to just relax and be yourself! I hope this advice helps you! Good luck and let me know how you get on! 🍀 x

I notice in your list of band 2 you have phlebotomy. I know that this would normally be band 3. Band 3 being those care assistant usually employed to assist in some nursing tasks outwith the Band 2 remit.

As nhs bank are you still able to sometimes do 37.5 in a week like a normal full time work hour would do? And are you able to be both full time and still be apart of bank?

Yes you can be on the bank and work full time. Just be mindful of the European work directive.
At my last nhs interview. was asked what animal would represent me. I was completely thrown by this question. What answer would have been suitable. I didn't get the job lol
