Omg. We have same leak, that cooling lane part EXACLY same position mine leaks… Isn’t there any easier part to remove left headlights to get to the tubes?
dude where did you buy those power steering lines ? mine is leaking as well so ill have to do the same turture repair on my 730 ... and my lokal bmw dealer wants like 400 quid for the parts
@sadpancakes6075 look up the part number on realoem.com and google the part number. Depending on where you live you have different options. Really you can use a screw type crimp as well its not necessary they be these ones
@@DeadEndRestorations Valve covers I'm 99.9% done, lost one of the rubber grommets somewhere in the engine bay so I'll have to source that and fit it. Power steering is leaking, and it looks like it's in multiple areas too, it's hard to figure out where exactly it's coming from
Great stuff, man! Keep at it and živeli!
Thank you, BMW godfather!
@@DeadEndRestorations thank you for your video. Do you put any RTV on coolant pump gasket before install coolant pump?

So you get to be the smartest man alive for figuring out that there’s a proper way to remove the bmw clips without snapping any
When you peeled back the hood lining I thought you were going to show us devastation from some little critter!!
Sreten would be proud! 👍

I drove a 518i E28 once and whilst it wasn't going to set any speed records, it certainly was torquey and hustled along respectably.
cool. Subbed!
Did you change the rubber washers that are undet the blind nuts that hold the valve cover ?
I did not, I'm guessing those get hard and cause leaks too??

@@morm608 oh yes I have added washers there! Thanks!
@@DeadEndRestorations here is an example that over time you have to add extra washers.

Ya the grommets can fly around for sure. Power steering is tricky, just hope for your sake its not the small ones behind the driver headlight… 🤮
