Just discovered your channel. One of my favourite cars of all times. You are an excellent, calm presenter with a great sense of humour. Absolute joy to watch! Greetings from Amsterdam.

Great job on cleaning up the rust under the battery tray. It’s a super common issue on E32 and E34. What you should do is spray primer on it and paint, let it dry. Once the paint is dry, you can coat that area with bearing grease or fluid film product. It’ll never ever rust again. It’s the best rust protection and prevention :)

Definitely a good idea, I might do just what you said once I get it ready for a new paint job and get the shop to prime and coat that area as well. Cheers!

Great work, nice video and excellent effort with the bimmer. Hope you dont forget the valley pan work, but i'll see that in a next video I hope.

Valley pan i didnt end up doing, it wasn’t leaking and engine was running smoothly without any lifter tick. Agree that its a good check on M60s as the bolts are prone to fall out of oil pump gears

Great videos. I love Classic German Cars. I save and restore them. They don’t make them like they used to! Keep it up!

Thanks! They don’t and will never make them like this again!

A little friendly advice, go commando when working on the Bavarian beauty… you won’t need to reload on underpants so often!

Reloading on sweatpants for every episode will blow the project budget in no time!

Speaking of potential fires, fire extinguishers, and the a/c, make sure you replace the blower motor resistor or at least check it to make sure there’s no dried up leaves burning up on it. Those damn things are notorious for burning e34s to the ground.

Thats first on the list once i start tackling the interior!

Just stumbled across your channel, and watched all videos in a day :). I have an e34 540i here in Australia, so have learned a lot from your videos. Keep up the great content.

Well, for once YT suggested a channel/video I like... I'm guessing it's cause I also subscribe to M539 (who doesn't?) but a win nonetheless to find this! Either that or the ridiculous amount of E34 content I watch cause I'm psyching myself up to buy one and attempt to own it long enough to destroy my finances and social relationships.
Your videos both inspire and scare me, keep up the good work!

Thanks Ed! I would say take the plunge, but I’m only halfway to destroying my finances and social relationships 😂

10:40 Don't use vaseline. Petroleum based products will have an impact on the life of the o-ring. Instead use sillicone (spray).
