For a game that's essentially shovelware with a license, it doesn't look too bad. Fall for that crap with the Wii Speed Racer game. Where every track is Rainbow Road.
Oh I remember the Wii Speed Racer game, I mean it wasn't the worst game I played personally (probably because I was 10 when the game came out) but I can see what you're talking about but the cars game wasn't that bad either. I think I also remember seeing you're episode of Fact Hunt for Driver 3 about the Drivergate Scandal if I remember correctly pretty interesting but hey it's cool to see you here.
Not gonna lie, when I first saw the ads for this game on the TV, Cars Race-o-Rama was a DREAM for 10-year-old me. Being able to customize McQueen to the extend they said you could blew my mind back then and was also my first Wii game.

As an added thing, some of the releases are very different, per example the DS version of Cars 2 has unique misson system in where you play like a stealth game

The Wii port of the first Cars game is the only one I ever played but I remember really enjoying it as a kid. Maybe it was just the fact that I could explore Radiator Springs while enjoying great music and talking to the characters, because I don't really have any memory of the actual racing from that game. I find it interesting that the studio behind that made this and since this is pretty good, it makes me wonder if the Wii port is the best version of the first game.
I actually played this, and my biggest complaint about it (which is a really small one), is that the game doesn’t tell you where the new missions are if they’re in a previous area (like at the end when you go back to the speedway).
I remember a glitch I used to do in this game, just stick to the back of a car while you're in aa race and jump and you will flip him, it was too funny
I very much enjoy these videos lol. Idk what it is specifically, I think you're just a good reviewer, but for some reason it feels like there's a lot of heart in these videos since these games seem to be very nostalgic and memorable from people's childhoods
You know, I just realized something. The way most people see the THQ Cars trilogy is the same way most people see the Cars movie trilogy. People consider the first (Cars: The Video Game) to be the best of the trilogy, the 2nd (Mater National) to be the worst of the trilogy, and the third (Race O Rama) to be better than the 2nd, but not the first.
To me, this game felt like an apology for Mater-National. Also yes, please do cover the Cars 2 and 3 games. I personally adored the Cars 2 game, but that's probably just childhood bias kicking in since I used to play it practically all the time back in the day - I even bought all of the now non-existent DLC because I'm sad like that and had nothing better to do with my life (and still don't hahaha aren't depression jokes just hilarious?). I found the Cars 3 game to be just okay. A fun time, but nothing special. It seemed even more budget-y and rushed than Mater-National to me, which is saying a lot.
My thoughts on the Cars games: Cars: The Videogme: Wow, a actually good tie-in game. Cars: Mater National: Boring, but okay. Cars: Race O Rama: Total legitness. Cars 2: Still bad as the movie. Cars 3: Driven to Win: What a piece of garbage.
NOSTALGIA OVERLOAD. I always played this game on my Wii (after my old PS2 broke) and it was really fun. I recently was able to play it again, and boy, I remember why I had so much fun before.
This was one of my favorite racers on the ps2, I was so sad when it got too scratched to work. I’m going to get it on Xbox 360 to relive those memories
I remember playing this game so much on my Wii that I broke two discs. Sure, it was probably because of the fact that I was too young to know how to take care of discs, but whatever. This game and some old shockwave game (either called redline racing 4 or real racing 4, I don't remember and can't even play the game now) are the games that introduced me to open world racing games, which are my favorite kinds of games nowadays.
I played Race O Rams on the Wii. Surprisingly solid (more than I expected) racing game, except for, like you mentioned, occasional crash physics. I also fall out of the world map in the tunnel section of Santa Carburera during rely races. Every single time I played as Doc's students it happens and I have no clue as to why
I'm the kind of guy that has to play the character how he was built to look lol. Example being assassins creed, whatever outfit they show in the trailer, I have to wear the whole game knowing they have many other outfits lol. So i can understand why you dislike changing McQueen's look

Played this game for 14 years, its still my favourite game ever, finished it so much times i found lots of secrets, one of my favourites is the shortcut on the roof at the mine tunnel in the mountains at radiator springs, and you can also go through just about anything, including other free roam characters, and in the forklift and monster truck races, you can be mike wasawski or sully. And i know this is a massive comment just for a cars game, but there were also cheat codes for this game 10/10 from me.

I would like to see a review of the Asterix and Obelix XXL games. XXL 1 was a pretty chill game... mundane story.. beating romans.. a very relaxing game with a marvelous soundtrack. With XXL 2 however the developers went nuts and created a game so fully pact with video game references to a point where it got ridiculous
The first Cars game was incredibly amazing it was my childhood game. Having the entire cast from the movie felt like a sequel to Cars 1 even though it was a game. Mater national was okay, the only complaints I have is the hub world was too small, half of the cast didn't make a return and there were no Piston Cup tracks, also Lightning doesn't get his Dinoco paint job. Race O Rama my second favourite childhood game I loved how you could customize Lightning McQueen but I was pretty disappointed that his classic Rusteze paint job and the Dinoco paint job weren't in the game. Cars Movie Game- 9/10 Cars Mater National- 5/10 Cars Race O Rama-10/10

The physics were very ridiculous, yes, but I always found it funny how he just flies a short distance after crashing into a small rock, the cosmetic aspect along with having different cars like the monster truck really kept me engaged; the ending was disappointing though, didn't even get to race against Chick, like, come on. Also, 4:49 wow, I was really too young to even get the joke, I didn't even remember the whole "Out of my way, Parasites!" bit.
The DS version of race-o-rama is like REALLY good and even has a lot of fun multiplayer and a good story mode with boss fights, collectibles which makes it useful to do the same race more than once, and you can play as almost every character from the 1st cars film, and to top it all off, it controls really well
This was my favorite game as a kid. But not because of the actual game, but because of fucking with the AI, the physics engine, and bug finding with my friend lmao
