I like how MC-Queen developed as a character. From an egocentric rookie to a kind, more humble racer, his cockiness coming off more of a "character" than actually part of his personality. Of course, he still strives to be the best, which is something to greatly admire.

The Toner Gang Cars should have had their own movie, like, they were pretty wholesome in their canon backstories and the reasons they got together as friends, being the 4 outcasts who understood each other's quirks :D The 4 could have had such cool interactions with the Radiator Spring's folks just like McQueen had, starting rough and later earning their friendship :)
actually his top speed back in 2006 was 200 mph and it wasn't until 2017 when his top speed weakened to 198 mph because he got older. in cars 2, he outsped francesco by one inch meaning he was able to travel faster than 220 mph with his cars 2 upgrade (with his spoiler, side skirt etc.)

I was too old when the movies came on the theaters. I was 16 years old. "It's a movie for litles kids", I said to myself. Accidentally finding Radiator Springs was the best thing that ever happened to Lightning Mcqueen everyone there helped him to be a better car Mater became his best friend Sally became his love interest Doc Hudson became his mentor and father figure without them he wouldn’t have been a better racer than he use to be plus he found out Doc Hudson was a piston cup legend with 3 piston cups he also put Radiator Springs back on the map and his career was even more successful with 7 piston cup championships and good he declined the offer to race for Dinoco and stayed with Rust-eze which he made his sponsor even more successful.

I would be more co concerned about Mack. The bobble head fell because of the import racers and if they haven't showed up, Mac would've got into a wreck due to fatigue which would also affect McQueen.
Chick Hicks has got to be one of the biggest what if stories in racing history. An incredibly talented and gifted racer who’s early and prime career just happened to coincide with the GOAT and his latter years were outshined by the new GOAT.
As much as his one piston cup is probably the biggest asterisk win ever (lightning would have won if he didn't perform one of the biggest acts of sportsmanship ever), he definitely deserved a piston cup at least in his career. Extremely unfortunate timing, if he was racing outside of these 2 eras he easily could have gained multiple piston cups. It's claimed to be a top speed of 205mph in the first movie, supposedly a top speed of 200mph in the 2nd movie only claimed but I think it's much faster since he beat Francesco who has a top speed of 220mph, in the third movie his top speed is supposedly 198mph but that is only on sand. On asphalt I believe he could reach a top speed at least of 210mph and he is why: I believe he could reach faster speeds because he had the ability to keep up with Storm when Storm could push minimum speed average of 207mph but Storm's average speed is 210.364mph with a top speed of 214mph. I believe McQueen's top speed is 210-212mph because of Storm was being compared to Lightning McQueen at the beginning of Cars 3 and Storm had a 1.2% higher top speed than McQueen. Which 214mph-1.2% is 211.432mph which seems a more reasonable top speed for McQueen since he would remain in at least the top 8 of the last 10 races in the 2016 season against Jackson Storm and even coming second to Storm in at least 3 races. Storm's average speed is also 210.364mph so I can calculate Lightning McQueen's is around 208mph with 210.364mph -1.2% using similar statistics for the top speed. Lightning McQueen is definitely slower than Jackson Storm but he is a smarter racer and could reach his top speed of 212mph via drafting as seen at the Florida 500 in the first race of the 2017 season. If Storm kept a racing speed of a 207mph for the first 50 laps Lighting McQueen could definitely not make progress if his top speed was 198mph let alone his average speed so it'd have to be faster than 198mph to be able to make at least top 10 as said by Smokey. Lighting McQueen also took the lead with a speedy pit-stop which was fast but only a little faster than Storm's pit-stop in the Los Angeles 500 before his crash against next-gen racers and only lost the lead and crashed due to Storm's bullying. Cruz had a top speed of 210mph and beat storm and while Lightning McQueen and Cruz are training Lightning overtook Cruz so he'd have to have a faster speed before being so confident Cruz overtook him via drafting. Lightning McQueen had an acceleration of 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds in Cars 2 and Storm only has an acceleration of 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds in Cars 3. And McQueen only has a claimed acceleration of 0-60mph in 4.0 seconds but I believe that to be false because current nascar stock cars have a 0-60mph in an average of 3.0-3.5 seconds. Therefore, if Lightning McQueen's top speed was really 198mph, 200mph, or even 205mph he would never beat storm and he would have an average speed of 208mph a top speed of 211mph-212mph. P.S. sorry about the long argument I am really into Physics about the cars universe about speeds, accelerations, distances, and time.

When Cars was made, no one even knew who Hamilton was. So, he certainly isn't based on Lewis. If anything, he's based on either Jimmie Johnson or Jeff Gordon. Cars is not only based on F1, yes, there are aspects of it that are based on real-life F1 storylines (McQueen vs Storm in 3 for example, is based on Alonso vs Schumacher. Alonso: Storm, Schumacher: McQueen), but sometimes they also look into the history of some other racing franchises

intresting too because in Cars 3 lightning tried to push beyond 200 mph but couldn't do it. this is a flaw in the cars 3 story

There was a theory that doc died due to “lung cancer” in the movie aswell. In the original cars he puffed black smoke out of his exhaust a few times.

Honestly, it makes sense why he was always jaded towards others in the first. He couldn't trust anyone after his close friend in the academy betrayed him.
Yeah it made him have trust issues. It's no wonder why after being betrayed, Mack is the closest friend he had for a while and you could argue that's only because he has to carry him to track all the time.
Accidentally finding Radiator Springs was the best thing that ever happened to Lightning Mcqueen everyone there helped him to be a better car Mater became his best friend Sally became his love interest Doc Hudson became his mentor and father figure without them he wouldn’t have been a better racer than he use to be plus he found out Doc Hudson was a piston cup legend with 3 piston cups he also put Radiator Springs back on the map and his career was even more successful with 7 piston cup championships and good he declined the offer to race for Dinoco and stayed with Rust-eze which he made his sponsor even more successful.

Fun fact did you know that if that one little bobble head of lightning McQueen didn't fall on the trailer door button McQueen would have never even thought to stop and help the king because everyone in radiator springs wouldn't have met him and the each taught him something so valuable It was way better than winning

I would be more co concerned about Mack. The bobble head fell because of the import racers and if they haven't showed up, Mac would've got into a wreck due to fatigue which would also affect McQueen.
Chick Hicks has got to be one of the biggest what if stories in racing history. An incredibly talented and gifted racer who’s early and prime career just happened to coincide with the GOAT and his latter years were outshined by the new GOAT.
As much as his one piston cup is probably the biggest asterisk win ever (lightning would have won if he didn't perform one of the biggest acts of sportsmanship ever), he definitely deserved a piston cup at least in his career. Extremely unfortunate timing, if he was racing outside of these 2 eras he easily could have gained multiple piston cups.

Idk if someone has thought about this before, but McQueen made The King retire twice. Once back in Cars when Lightning pretty much was the beginning of a new generation of racers that put The King, Chick, and their contemporaries in retirement.
And then a second time when he decided to be the Dinoco crew chief for Cruz, since The King was Dinoco's crew chief. Unless Tex made two teams, a Dinoco team and a Dinoco-Rusteeze team

Actually Lightning McQueen began his racing career in the Piston cup as a rookie in 2005, won his 1st piston cup in 2006, won his 4th piston cup in 2011, won 3 more piston cups in 2012-2015 & as of the rest of 2017, he is still racing against Jackson Storm as well as his friend Cruz Ramirez as shown in Cars 3 driven to win.

That’s not how the Nascar Cup Series Championship works, the highest placing of the final four in the last race of the season wins it all even if they had less stage points or led laps than the other championship drivers.

It's crazy to think that Lightning McQueen has evolved as a character in all three movies, shorts, and the new series. Which not much Disney/Pixar characters do...he went from a hotshot racer which wanted to win, and win only, and then he slowly evolved over time to a loving, wholesome, friendly NASCAR! Still wanting to win. But changed...alot
Fantastic video as always Ned! It's truly amazing how much McQueen has developed as a character and how we fans have matured along with him. It's still hard for me to believe he's not a rookie anymore (even though I still affectionately call him that haha). But even if he's not racing anymore, he's always going to be my rookie!

It's claimed to be a top speed of 205mph in the first movie, supposedly a top speed of 200mph in the 2nd movie only claimed but I think it's much faster since he beat Francesco who has a top speed of 220mph, in the third movie his top speed is supposedly 198mph but that is only on sand. On asphalt I believe he could reach a top speed at least of 210mph and he is why:
I believe he could reach faster speeds because he had the ability to keep up with Storm when Storm could push minimum speed average of 207mph but Storm's average speed is 210.364mph with a top speed of 214mph. I believe McQueen's top speed is 210-212mph because of Storm was being compared to Lightning McQueen at the beginning of Cars 3 and Storm had a 1.2% higher top speed than McQueen. Which 214mph-1.2% is 211.432mph which seems a more reasonable top speed for McQueen since he would remain in at least the top 8 of the last 10 races in the 2016 season against Jackson Storm and even coming second to Storm in at least 3 races. Storm's average speed is also 210.364mph so I can calculate Lightning McQueen's is around 208mph with 210.364mph -1.2% using similar statistics for the top speed. Lightning McQueen is definitely slower than Jackson Storm but he is a smarter racer and could reach his top speed of 212mph via drafting as seen at the Florida 500 in the first race of the 2017 season. If Storm kept a racing speed of a 207mph for the first 50 laps Lighting McQueen could definitely not make progress if his top speed was 198mph let alone his average speed so it'd have to be faster than 198mph to be able to make at least top 10 as said by Smokey. Lighting McQueen also took the lead with a speedy pit-stop which was fast but only a little faster than Storm's pit-stop in the Los Angeles 500 before his crash against next-gen racers and only lost the lead and crashed due to Storm's bullying. Cruz had a top speed of 210mph and beat storm and while Lightning McQueen and Cruz are training Lightning overtook Cruz so he'd have to have a faster speed before being so confident Cruz overtook him via drafting. Lightning McQueen had an acceleration of 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds in Cars 2 and Storm only has an acceleration of 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds in Cars 3. And McQueen only has a claimed acceleration of 0-60mph in 4.0 seconds but I believe that to be false because current nascar stock cars have a 0-60mph in an average of 3.0-3.5 seconds. Therefore, if Lightning McQueen's top speed was really 198mph, 200mph, or even 205mph he would never beat storm and he would have an average speed of 208mph a top speed of 211mph-212mph.
P.S. sorry about the long argument I am really into Physics about the cars universe about speeds, accelerations, distances, and time.

When Cars was made, no one even knew who Hamilton was. So, he certainly isn't based on Lewis. If anything, he's based on either Jimmie Johnson or Jeff Gordon. Cars is not only based on F1, yes, there are aspects of it that are based on real-life F1 storylines (McQueen vs Storm in 3 for example, is based on Alonso vs Schumacher. Alonso: Storm, Schumacher: McQueen), but sometimes they also look into the history of some other racing franchises

Nice video but, I think that Lightning McQueen in cars 4 will have the role of a racer and not of Cruz coach because in the end of cars 3 he tells Sally that he will keep racing. Also in the episode ''dancing with the cars'' there are some yellow clarcks. That means that Guido is still in McQueen's crew . So maybe the pictures at the end of cars 3 are false, who knows.
