    Dark shadows not acceptable.

My 2022 doesn't have it. I drove a loaner 2024 with the shadows. It's super annoying, really hurts visibility

sucks that the US and Canada models don't get equipped with the matrix headlights.

Subaru has matrix now? I have matrix on my Audi but that’s only since Audi ships the cars with the hardware capable with it regardless of the region.

@@viccao8431 yeah, the Japanese manufactured Outback's here in Australia and Europe have matrix headlights, they work pretty well, I'm not sure why Subaru doesn't advertise it at all beyond one video demo from Subaru Europe but they're equipped and they work.
However the stalk controls for them are awful, you push stalk foward, matrix highbeams turn on, if matrix highbeams are fully on and you pull stalk back it'll go to normal low beam, but if any part of the matrix lights are doing the "matrix" thing then pulling back will flash the highbeams instead. And when matrix lights are on, if you push stalk foward again, instead of turning the highbeam off, it'll turn the highbeam on without the matrix functionality. So basically if you need to turn matrix highbeams off, you first need to push stalk foward and flash everyone, then pull stalk back to turn high beams off. It's horrible, basically makes it so if you wanna turn highbeams off, any oncoming car will first be flashed.
Given how many works I needed to say to explain that, shows how awful it is. I ended up trading in the Outback for a WRX which doesn't have the matrix headlights, but the highbeam controls are so much easier to understand. i'm little sad since the matrix lights were actually insanely good for rural areas, made it possible to see super far ahead without blinding traffic on the other side of the highway, but yeah highbeam controls appeared to be an afterthought.

Propspective buyers could always drive their dying Theiro eight year old ,?old Toyota or Ford. But that would be dumb and wasteful,,right ??!
