WORKSHOP SAFETY:
================================
As always you are responsible for your own safety in your workshop, so do your own research, and come to your own conclusions about what is or isn't safe in your specific situation. If you see anything in my videos which you think is unsafe or ill-advised please let me know in the comments. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Good job and easy to take off and replace with no damage to the lathe
Thanks 👍🏻 😊
Thanks Simon, I'd never heard of these covers before so interesting to see your experience !
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
Another great idea Simon,I sometimes wish I had a lathe,but my sensible head always talks me out of it lol
It is such a useful machine, I seem to use it all the time now! 😊
@@DIYTinkererYou always hear the advice, "get the biggest lathe you can afford." How does your lathe (8"?) compare to the common 7" ones? I've never seen the 8" in person, but I've seen the 7" ones and they're surprisingly puny in size. At the same time, the 8" ones receive quite a bit of flack based on reviews.
@bobweiram6321 hi, this is my first lathe, my mate has a 7" one that he says you can't turn chocolate on ( machine mart) mine seems pretty good, I have a first impressions video on my channel if you are interested, but overall I'm very happy. When researching what to get, I looked at all the possible mods to fix issues with mini-lathes, and surprisingly, this lathe has most those changes as standard. The 7x12s seemed far too small, my workshop space is limited so I went for this benchtop 8x16 with 38mm bore and 1000W brushless motor.
I bet you can't wait for the warranty to expire.
😆 lol
