@@orangetruckman I have heard that exact statement from other people on lots of my videos. Problem is there is so much content on TH-cam, much of it not very good, that it is easy to get lost in the masses. The only way for TH-cam to recommend me is if I get more views so if you ever have the opportunity to share one of my videos on FaceBook or another location I would really appreciate it. Please don't hesitate to reach out if I can be of any further assistance.
There should be leadscrew covers that have a slit all the way down the length (like a wire loom)) so they can be installed without taking the leadscrew off. Thanks for this video.
How do you like the lathe as just a lathe? I see people talk bad about these machines quite often, but I’ve already got a mill. I just need a lathe, and these fit the bill! They are relatively short for what they are, but they have a huge swing for a small machine. Most being 12-16 inches! I don’t have room for a giant clausing lathe, but my 7x14” lathe swing is way too small for most of the stuff I work on.
Some are way better than others. I had to put a ton of work into mine to get the lathe cutting well. BUT mine was also a knockoff had I gotten a smithy or grizzly it would have likely been better right out of the box. People like to rag on these machines but the biggest flaw is switching from mill to lathe and back again. If you're not using the mill then that is not a problem. Pleas let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Im sure it comes down to cost V retail value and adding them at the factory won't add much retail value. Its just one more way manufacturers cut costs to make a few more $.01
I’ve been trying to decide which bellows to get to do the exact thing. Thank you for making it a simple step for me now 😬
Happy to help!
@@dazecars-I’m honestly surprised at how few of views you’ve gotten on this particular video. Great information not used by so many…such a pity.

I just spent hours looking for a solution like this on my desktop cnc, I figured someone had done this by now! Thanks!
Glad I could help!
Very good information, thank you. Now all I need is a lathe (soon I hope!)!!
ya, might want to start with getting the lathe 😁
Nice work
Thanks

Thanks for this video.
That would make the install easier but I think it would effect how it functions.

I have never understood why leadscrew covers aren't there from the factory.

Good job 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks!
Can I ask how long the smaller pieces measure when compressed? I want to know if I have enough clearance, thanks
I'm not sure at the moment, I will measure and get back to you
It’s about 3.5”
Great, thank you!@@dazecars
my pleasure
