    Thumbs up for taking time for a quarantine video. Nicely done. So, beyond the expected big added push in the seat, what's the driving characteristics? Is the power addition across the rev range? Or is it just down low or just in the upper revs? Is the car still easy to drive around town, or is it more finicky coming off the line?

  • @hitm4n1985
    @hitm4n1985 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    The fk street lines are much cheaper manufacturer direct probably a good 25%; I'm fairly certain you are running aftermarket motor mounts in this vid. Good knowledgeable information on the fsi which is a popular platform even now a days. The car is fun and easily affordable; daily maintenance is fairly simple as well. A nice vid suggestion for the mk5 would probably be a solution oem or oem+ for the failure prone headlights (xenon) without going cheapo led or hid to keep it reliable.
    Clean gti and good info. For sure tuning in

      @@RatchetWrenches I figured it may be the cheapest way to get some big gains, if everything could be swapped easily. Instead of buying and trying to install parts on motors with more miles on them, get a mk5 shell and drop $1500 on a mk7 engine. Could be a vastly cheaper and more reliable way to get decent gains.

    On the fuel pump get the autotech internals ive seem them for like 350ish (i believe that's what the companys name is) see if you can find a wrecked mk6 golf r and just get the parts from it (intercooler, injectors, fuel pump, try the discharge pipes aswell, run colder plugs on it, meth kit (350ish) try to see if can get a GLI transmission I think the gears are longer on it rather then the gtis, for a newer car you can get the mk7 golf sportwagen 4motion and upgrade the tiny turbo it has to an is38 (golf r turbo). You'll have a baby golf r wagon for half the price. Lol we didn't get the estates golf r but you can make it like one.

It’s out there for sure I just think for legal reasons you can’t find it as easily. Not saying to do this but hypothetically if you call around to euro tuning shops it may or may not be available 😉 even some vw dealers are APR certified but they might follow the rules and have taken the flash away.
