Thanks for the great video! I went with a 2014 MK6 that i picked up for 9.5k. i put in a stronger clutch, dogbone, down pipe, cold air intake, turbo muffler delete, and I E stage 2 tune. Totally new car for decent price..... And SO fun to drive!!
With the dual cooler set up...I'm assuming they're mounted front & in series (one in front of other)..yeah? Given the reduced flow to the 2nd cooler & it operating at a somewhat reduced capacity...having the extra weight, load & area contributing to greater thermal radiating potential & compromised output of the 2nd unit may probably be less efficient than just running the upgrade at less mass, greater flow (less duct & more open in bay) & lower thermal conductivity/retention...
Very nice looking build! The APR springs are quite a lot stiffer than most others on the market. That said, you could probably dial out some of the bounciness by cutting 15mm off the front bump stops and 20- 30mm off the rears. APR also sells their own which are already the right length. When you lower, you get into the stops more easily and they act like an extra spring and can ride like crap. You could also drop in a set of rebound adjustable shocks and add rebound till it feels properly planted. My 2 cents. Enjoy the ride.
Just curious. I want to keep the stock clutch on my GTI 7.5. I am looking for a bolt-on that will give just a little more power and does not involve a tune. I am not racing the car and don't need lots of horsepower, just a little more fun. Any ideas?
Nice video covering the mods and a fun car. I have been doing similar mods to my Audi A3 Quattro. I’m now on a stage 3 Unitronic with around 400 HP and 11.8 quarter. I did the turbo upgrade when I was installing new motor:)
Where are you finding these parts for that price? I'm in the mk7 world for a number of years now between my alltrack and my GTI and I've never seen these prices that low
@@jacobMMotorsport closer to 380whp with IE. 400whp will require a LPFP upgrade as well as a custom tune for E85 on the IS38. The 2260S on Trueflex E30 on the other hand is 454bhp(413whp). Lifted directly from IE's site themselves. Awesome build though. I love my IS38.
I have a set of the Comps in the same color. I have not put them on yet as Im running some Neuspeeds and started to regret the idea. They look great on the car, this instantly changed my mind. Any reason for you not running with the center caps installed? Just preference?
Well the center caps got loose on us then we put thread lock on it which was a bad idea cause you need them off you balence a tire so we stripped them and haven’t bought new ones. But we kinda like them bare
Did you get those Comps installed yet! Those are disco so you have an endangered species. But hit us up if you ever need help with caps or wanting to switch over to the new RSR flow formed wheels we've got!
just curious why people get a gti over the golf r? is it because of the price difference between them i assume and cant afford the r? im looking into getting one.
The GTI is lighter than the R, and feels more light on its feet and fun. AWD is nice, but the Haldex based system in the 7/7.5R is kind of meh. If you want an R, get the 8R as it has the newer torque vectoring magna diff. Which is much better.
I just picked up my mk7 gti in August, and I can't wait to mod it. It's already soo much fun, and just a riot in the mountains.

Lovely sounding GTI man. I literally just bought a mk7.5 GTI and am hoping I can get it to sound like yours I love the burble
Thanks! Go check the exhaust video or

Thanks for the info! I didn’t know that! We will most likely go with a coil over!
Gotta get on our new RSR Flor Formed wheels my dude!

Intercooler and exhaust
And an Intake if you want more turbo noises
Super nice build! Where did you get that GTI Front plate from?
We custom made that
@@jacobMMotorsportLOL. I kinda figured that was the case lol. I’ll probably have some friends machine something similar for me. I like the look! 🙌🏾

How’s reliability on that 2.0t? I think UK got more of the a3’s but I was looking into the 2.0 petrol

Where'd you get that rear bumper diffuser?
Cjm
Any recommendations on rear diffuser
Do you recommend ECS tuning lowering springs? Beautiful GTI bro
No I don’t! They aren’t worth it. I would go with a H&R

Nice build man. Decent balance of quality and budget parts.
How much hp are you pushing now after all of your upgrades
465 crank so low 400 to wheels

Same car except AWD and turbo. Honestly the gti is a better track car it’s way more nimble on the track rather than the r
