I got my P plates late last year and you're the pretty much the only moto channel I started watching. I think I searched for rebel 500 and saw one of your vids.
I'll be joining you on the motovlogging pretty soon when I get my first ever bike and ride it through the countryside, streets and cities of Belgium, to include Spa Francorchamps! After living in Europe for so long, I prefer enjoying my rides through windy roads and rolling hills and more, compared to ripping on the engine and seeing who can go the fastest in a straight line. I'm joining the motorbike world, and I'm excited yet afraid at the same time. "Respect the bike, and the bike will respect you!" - Forgot who said that. Credit to him.
Just be prepared to spend months if not years of slow reception to the vids, plz dont let that stop you! Ive been doing this for a few years now and only recently have we been getting some traction haha do it for the joy!
My now ex gf is half aussie. We visited this last christmas and loved it there. I spent most of my days down under dreaming about touring it riding a nice bike. Now it's not so clear to me if it will happen in the future. Great vid! Sending you a hug from Mallorca, Spain. Stay safe!
Classic motovlogging is my favorite style. Anything involving just riding, the scenery, some commentary, and no selling of products. I ride, daily, weather allowing, yet, I still enjoy seeing other people's rides/adventures/mishaps. And it's how I get to see other countries, and wish I could ride there. Just good entertainment, though, when I'm at work, it can amp me up to run out the door and ride off!!!! As always, enjoy your content, and you're of of my tops on watch list. Take care!
I started watching M13 / Mordeth 13 as my first motorcycle vlogger. Used to live in Taiwan and went go-karting with him a couple of times (but never rode with). Now back here in AU, I just got my bike, have a GoPro10 and hope to start making videos soon but for vlogging, I have absolutely no idea what to talk about.
I the states, during Covid, the motovloggers seemed like “astronauts” telling us about the outside world, now that we’re all out, they aren’t the ‘first penguin off the iceberg’ that we all watched as they went, YMMV
It's funny because it seems we kind of watch the same TH-camrs. We interacted on TikTok and I like your content. I taught myself to ride, and I've been thinking of motovlogging too. Might end up a flop considering where I live is pretty small but hey might as well try.
I started watching moto content with ofc all the big ones like DoItWithDan like you mentioned. Him and chase and a couple other of those guys are local to me. But the guy who really got me into it was RoyalJordanian. Loved his style of content especially with the amazing audio of all his bikes. And he sort of had the short form content in away it was just a compilation of all the interesting things he caught on camera. Severely miss regular uploads from him
I remember way back when Yammie Noob was a motovlogger instead of a top 5 content farmer. But in all seriousness, I got my start years ago watching The Ghost Rider on bootleg VHS tapes and DVDs with my brother. I was so excited when he came back and started doing his usual thing on TH-cam. In terms of actual motovloggers, though? There were a lot. I was real big on Subie Moto for a while. Dude is an absolute hooligan. Ramen on Wheels was another, albeit scooter-based channel that I was super into. Sorry for the novel, btw
Do it with Dan, Walterrific, YummieR6 and others I am sure I forgot about, were all my regular motovlogers before I could even drive. All motivated me to eventually get my own motorcycle. I still enjoy motovlogs when weather is crap or at a meal
I only started my 2-wheeled life last year, so I missed out on this Golden Age of motovlogging you feel has gone. But, when it comes to discovering this community, I've found that subscribing to a lot of various small channels (with own style, quirks, bad/good editing, etc.) has helped change the TH-cam recommendations I get. I like all kinds of 2-wheeled rides, big/small, electric/petrol/manpower, so some of the first channels I subscribed to were, from the UK LondonEats and LondonHustle, from France Chris-RS, and from Australia Melancholy-Monk (I'm his only subscriber, LOL!) and Mr. Wombat himself. Of course, my greatest inspiration is Itchy Boots. She's from the Netherlands, but I don't think she's stepped foot in her home country in the last 2 years. Actually, she's never been more than a month within the same country, having travelled the World for the last 7 years. Everything she owns is with her on the bike. But I always keep a lookout for more new small channels. UK's TyresNTorque is a recent one I quite enjoy. For me, it's an exchange of idea, tips and tricks, seeing someone else's ride when the weather doesn't permit me to go out. A good example of that is after watching your last video about potential boredom of riding. When riding to my parents' place recently, I took a different way there just to mix things up. (I'm giving you a shoutout for that in my next vid! 😉) When it's too commercial, too big, too shiny, except for a few exceptions, I tend to steer clear of it. (no pun intended) Like WizzleTime said in her comment, sorry for the novel. I checked her channel out and subscribed to it! 👍
I dont mind a good book of a comment as long as it's all positive lol. Glad to see you got a good diversity in your yt channels! Glad you're spicing up your riding more!
I think I started off with walterrific. TH-cam is hard, especially now that you’re competing with all these large companies being pushed by the algorithm. I don’t think Motovlogging is dead but in terms of it being a full time job, perhaps? Only time will tell as far as see it you’ll need to do additional stuff to get the ball rolling. Shadetree has brapstar and sells merch that seems like good quality stuff. I think you really have to build an audience of people that feel connected and monopolize on that as bad as it may sound.
I think most of them either found keeping up with the content to be less fun than it first seemed. I made my own attempt at it, though I won't ever say I got big in any real sense (i was up to 1.8k) and while it was fun it is difficult to keep things original and fluid. You can only do so much riding and talking about whatever before you just run out of things to talk about. This is likely at least one reason many of them moved over to different bike related content, like Chase, who went on to do reviews and WBR. That type of content appeals a lot of people that may not care about the old school motovlog content.
Idk about the other but keep up the work mate this is quality content. I was also after you opinion I'm thinking of swapping my '17 Ninja 300 10k(km) to a '17 CMX 500 21k (km)
It can recover, YT just needs to be more lenient with their rules, you can't even talk Australian without video's being banned, let along bad swearing, takes people's characters away by limiting what they can say on YT, at least limits their viewership due to YT not promoting or shadow banning them effectively then they don't get views, give up etc, yada yada yada. But also not a lot of people are picking up a camera these days to record what they are doing like they did 10-15 years ago, honestly YT as a whole seems to be very "marketed" now, everybody is worried about finding the right content and the right thumbnails etc, just to draw more attention rather than just making random content and people being curious. Again, it can come back, more people just need to pick up a camera. But will it.
@@sergeantwombat i guess if you consider splitting to be technically at higher speeds only (50+), then i guess only filtering is legal but they are both generally accepted here
Its pretty simple. For a motovlog you need two rhings: a motorcycle and more importantly, something to say/do. Most of these guys have nothing interesting to do or nothing of worth to say, so they move to something else.
@@sergeantwombat It happens. After years of spitting out videos every week or so, you kinda run out of things to say or your opinions are just like everyone else's.
You have to be careful in nanny police State Australia what you show on video, show obvious breaking the law footage and the Austazi may come knocking on your door.

Lets go! Hahah cheers for sticking with 😀
Sorry for low fps... dunno why wouldnt let me render at 60fps and locked it at 24...

I generally figure out the topic just before i ride lol
Found burch and his gf komoto vlogs recently. Good to see people still at it but disappointing that you guys dont get more views
Welp, plz share 😅😅😅
It'll come... eventually lol

Ghost riders content in modern life dont hit the same with smooth footage and hd tbh, the shaking cam made it feel elite!

Is lane splitting legal in Oz? Or is it in any state?
Filtering is allowed, splitting aint
splitting and filtering legal in WA
quick google says no?
