Great video !!!! very informative !!! I had a question: I am going to live stream using my A6600 camera. The small USB cable that comes with the camera to charge ( im not sure what its called what type of cable it is) ...is there a longer one that i can purchase somewhere ? The one that comes with the camera is only about one foot long...not good for outdoor live stream where I may need a longer cable.
I just bought my camera and I am setting it up following your video. At around 7 min in the movie1 section. When I went to change the recording setting I did not have the option for 24p 100m. The only option I have close to that is 24p 50m. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the video but this is more like how to get the same setup you use rather than a tutorial about what all of the settings do. Even if you don't personally change them, it would be nice to know what the different settings do.
Hi there thanks for your time making this video, I wanted to see about the cleaning mode of the sony 6600, unfortunately, you skipped this part :(, I wanted to know, is the camera's sensor make a noise when is cleaning? is that normal, because in the sony 6400 doesn't make noise when is cleaning the sensor thanks in advance
Thank you for the detailed video. I haven't had my camera for long, and I'm struggling with getting action video that doesn't make me queasy when I pan quickly. Even with a gimble, it's not great. Any suggestions?
Use subject tracking. He never really goes into it, but that's one of the best features of the newer Sony cameras. Particularly the a6600. This will track any subject eye, face, animal, etc. Just make sure the focus area is placed in the center of the screen. Enjoy!
Small correction - At 4:00 - The Autofocus illuminator is *not* to let you know that you have focus - it is to *help* the autofocus system work in low light levels. But it can be annoying and distracting in some circumstances. Turning it off may slow down the AF system or result in you not getting any focus lock in low light.
Nice tutorial. I'm either going to get this or the Canon 90D. The 90D is cheaper with higher MP and easier touch screen menu system. The 6600 has 5 axis stabilization and better auto focus and battery charging and HDR. The incl. kit lens prices for these are Canon NZ$2,799 some retailers charge $2300-2600. But Sony NZ charges NZ$3,099 for the 6600 kit lens. I'm saving up to get a camera around June if the Sony drops to NZ$2,500 from a NZ retailer may get it. Otherwise the 90D.
Just got mine after coming from a Canon T2i. Really helpful for an intro to the features, thanks! Did you have any trouble connecting to your computer via WiFi? I haven't been able to get it linked for whatever reason.
@@CJRichvideo Ok, thank you! By the way, I've found a video by Javier Letosa called "Sony a6300 - Cómo eliminar el rolling shutter" (it is in Spanish) and he talks about an option called Clear Image Zoom and he explains that it can be used to reduce it (he also talks about using correction in postproduction). Could you tell me if that option of Clear Image Zoom is in the Sony a6600, please? And thank you very much for replying me 🌈
This would be useful if you explained everything. For example I am a programmer and if I went through my code saying I used this and this and this... Would you understand anything? Nope.
If you want to know every detail on what your camera does then read the manual! I work 2 jobs and am a father of 2 kids. I did the best I could with what little time I have to record and edit this free video for jerks like you to criticize. Again, go read the manual.
This is by far the best walkthrough I have seen on TH-cam for the a6600. And I’ve watched over 50 of them
Thank you. Glad I was able to help you out.
Awesome instructional video! A lot to digest for sure!! I will keep coming back! Thank You! Subbed and Liked!

For the price of 2,500 and 3,000 range you can go with the a7 iii which is still smaller than the 90d and has alot more, and its fullframe
I just got this! thanks for helping me! I was clueless. Which lens do you recommend? I have one from an old sony camera. but I want a newer one!
I’m new on the 6600 as well, looking for some guidance on lens selections
Bruh you need to cut them nails haha all jokes aside great video!
..record setting I cant choose same like you on my camera just only 25p 100m or 25p 60m or depending on lens that you use..
Thanks
Great video bro! So in this A6600 how i transfer my photos to my imac by Wi-Fi?
How many brackets does it shoot at? 5 at 2ev/3ev?
It’ll shoot 5 images. The first number is how many shots. The second is at how many stops difference between each of the 5 shots
Very informative! Are good settings for most Alpha series cameras or just the aps-c cameras?
I have these same settings for my A7III so it’ll work well for pretty much the entire Alpha line!

how do i turn on face detection for the video.
Hello! Thank you for the video! I wsnt to buy the a6600. I'vr seen and red that it has a very bad rolling shutter, do you know tricks to fix it?
Unfortunately nothing you can do except don’t pan hard and fast.

Blu Yup I believe so yes. Honestly all mirrorless cameras have bad rolling shutter in 4K including my a7iii. 1080 is much better for rolling shutter.
@@CJRichvideo Oh, I see. So thank you very much! I like the camera
I got this camera for $918 with EDU discount at BHPHOTO very satisfied with this camera
Awesome! Enjoy it.
I did the same, can't wait to use it
What is EDU discount?. Education?. Haha thanks
Nails. Cut the nails. Good video
Very helpful video! But please cut your nails next time. It was a bit distracting. lol
Lol hey I play guitar and my nails grow super quick. I literally have to cut them every week or they get like this.
@@CJRichvideo, it didn't distract me, great video

lol dude focus light just so u know its focusing??? seriously??? thats kinda bad description of an important function of any camera in low light...
If you know everything about it why are you watching a setup video? Go make your own instead of ridiculing my video.
The guide is telling all about what he does and does not like. 👎
