    Thanks for your presentation style. I'm a content creator who is new to using "cameras." This should help me tremendously filming for my channel videos. I also watched a few of your ads all the way through....I hope everyone who watches TH-cam videos realizes this is how you can reward the creator for doing a good job :)

    Just upgraded from a Canon to the A6600. Was bummed that there was no manual (haven't bought a camera since 2011) and the website makes reviewing very difficult so I'm depending upon videos to learn. I appreciate that you took time to explain and am looking forward to more videos. Thank you!

      Sorry Laurie, it is a bit of a pain to get the strap on... You need to undo one end at a time and then weave it thru, then put it back how it was. I recommend only do one at a time, so you can use the other side for reference.

    This is my first camera Jay. I appreciate your video. Do you have a video on how to change the frame rate and aperture? Do you also know if you make a change whether you can hit reset and it will take you back to how it was first set up? I am trying to get the aperture to f/1.8, the framerate to 1/50 and the ISO to 500. I just see alot of things flashing. I watched one video and changed stuff but think that wasn't good for me. Thanks!

      Ahh, well you need to check out this tutorial video here for sure. th-cam.com/video/lt2Kp-2mCHA/w-d-xo.html Don't mind that its the A6400, because it works near identical on the a6600. After you watch that those numbers should all make sense to you and you will know why the numbers are blinking and what to do to fix it... If you still are a little unsure, then watch this video using the A7C th-cam.com/video/Zqwt0CJDG00/w-d-xo.html which is also very similar to the A6600. Please let me know how you make out Brent! Jay

    Very helpful to new Sony user. Looking forward to seeing your more detail video. But will this and the more advanced tutorial come out in a text (PDF etc) format for downloading. That would be helpful as a reference while in the field without internet. Also will AlphaLab come out with a guidance on A6600 set up for underwater users? There does not seem to be anything online yet and since cameras need alterations to the land base settings, that would be very helpful. I see nothing in the usual UW camera use sources. Have just ordered the A6600 and excited about using it on land and in the water. Tx very. Again, very useful video.

  • @LyxElso
    @LyxElso 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    i know that the 16-55G f2.8 become a 24-70 on a Apsc body. but does the aperture stay f2.8 or it become f3.5 Or F4 ? on the screen of the A6600 in your video the max aperture is f3.5.

    • @Jason_Hermann
      @Jason_Hermann  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The aperture is a constant f/2.8, so no it does not change due to the crop factor.

    what the best lens for product photography with this camera?

    • @Jason_Hermann
      @Jason_Hermann  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lots of awesome options, but it really depends on what type of products and how much room you have? For example when I take pics of cameras I like to use my Sigma 56mm f/1.4 Lens geni.us/7HBE if I am using my A6400, but I need a decent amount of space to use that lens. If I have less space to work with or it's a bigger product like a camera bag for example I would go with the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 Lens geni.us/Emr2pam

    Thanks for your video, I was looking at getting the Sony AX53 for video recording until a friend said that the A6400 which he has has no limiter for recording. However since the A6400 has no stabilazation I am looking at the 6600 and adding a mic. Is there anything that you wish Sony would have included with this camera? I am a novice and wondering if this is more camera than I need, especially considering the price tag.

    • @Jason_Hermann
      @Jason_Hermann  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, My biggest beef with the A6600 was the fact that the buffer size is smaller than the A6500. But this only an issue if you are shooting rapid fire mode for something like sports... Other than that it's a fantastic camera I would say. A fully articulating screen would be nice, but that is not the biggest deal to myself. More manual buttons would also be nice, but not really a deal breaker for me either. With extended 4k recording in warmer environments you may experience overheating issues though when compared to the AX53 which is worth noting. The small camera body does heat up when recording 4k. That being said, I never had any overheating issues myself while testing, but was not recording in a hot environment for extended periods...

      Jay SonyAlphaLab unfortunately because of Sony policy you don’t have an option to change it into English in the menu if you buy it in China, official service told me that absence of English is region ban so countries can compete in sales. Same problem is you will buy Sony cameras in Japan it will go without English in your setup.

    where is the full menu guide video?

      I don't really have another full guide for this camera and the menu system. I actually created several other videos breaking down specific features instead for this camera. However all the Sony cameras work pretty much the same, so you can watch any of the videos as it relates to what you are looking for. DO you have any specific questions? Here are all my How-To Videos for reference: th-cam.com/play/PLFE32AB0363640EDF.html

    At 6:56, you say that you selected English, but you never said what you did to select it. Did you press a button or touch something on a touch screen to enter the selection? We really need to have everything explained to us and not have you just assume that we already know how to do everything.

      Sorry Tom, the center button within the round rear control dial on the back of the camera is the "select or enter" button...

    There’s no manual that came with the camera. I guess Sony presumes all that will purchase the a6600 comes from the APS-C Sony axxxx owners / users group.

      The manuals are all online now and they are very detailed in fact. They should absolutely come with the camera though to your point... helpguide.sony.net/ilc/1940/v1/en/index.html
