I now know for sure that Google can read minds because just today, I was digging through old stuff to see what I could throw away and came across the cd Halo:Combat Evolved. Then I saw this in my feed.
Are you playing that on the Xbox X? Thinking about grabbing it just for MCC mostly, really miss the campaigns and guardian was a decent online shooter. One store sells the physical copy version for 400. Probably grab this week or weekend
what people dislike about the combat evolved remaster specifically is the lighting, and some geometry doesn't match up with specific parts of some maps. They also just kinda re-used assets from Halo: Reach and also 3. there also is a massive difference in the cutscenes due to the motion capture for the bipeds, it looks... funny
I noticed the off-set with the trees. Frustrating to try and maneuver or shoot and then just end up hitting the air. I noticed the lighting as well. I think the biggest thing is that it never looks like night-time in the remaster, which cuts into the overall ambiance. I think the cutscenes look a lot more fluid though, and it is nice to be able to see better in some areas, but the remaster feels a little .. rushed. (And it probably was, knowing modern game design studios. Support your local unions, boycotts, and strikes lol). Knowing assets were re-used makes a lot of sense actually. Some parts of the game look a bit disjointed from level to level. Still, it's what got me into playing Halo CE, and it's a fun experience anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@Mundane_Meow I really love Halo , I've been playing the original campaigns pretty much yearly every other month since i was 4 years old, im almost 28 now, massive Halo fan here. There is also a very long long long crazy story about Bungie/Microsoft and stuff that still shows to this very day, I miss old Bungie and I really wish Bungie never let Microsoft buy them back in 1999 or whenever it was... Halo probably would be still going hard to this day.. Life is unfortunate sometimes but it is what it is. Look up an interview by TheActMan and Marty O'Donnel, Marty is the absolute LEGEND who produced the ORIGINAL soundtrack, I think you have in the settings set to Modern Soundtrack, nothing against the remaster of the music, except that it doesn't hit the same AT ALL especially in most parts of the soundtrack.... Basically the long story short is Microsoft blows ass pretty much, may as well put everything on original because original Bungie actually gave a shit.
I hate to backseat game, so let this serve as gentle reminder that you have grenades. They're *very* useful in Halo's sandbox. You actually have eight of them at the moment.
Glad I'm not the only one replaying the halo campaigns

I'm just playing it through Steam on my PC 👍

After CE you should do halo 2 on legendary >:)
I doubt I have the talent for that, but I could make an attempt after I've finished the story lol
@@Mundane_Meow I was joking but it's sort of fun if you get the hang of it (I'm not terrible but not great either so it's fun and bothersome lol)
