Shit, it reminds me of that SWAT 4 First Responder mod which had some baked in microsoft do it. Waiting on functionality like that is what 's kept me from playing RoN.
There's a Command you can give your Officers after you complete the main objects. Pressing Search and Secure After completing the objects will make your officers go around the entire map and collect any missed evidence.
This gameplay is what made me fall in love with the original Ghost Recon titles. Why couldn't Ubisoft get AI right in their new games? The environments combined with this AI is a dream.
The single-player allied AI is wayyyyyy better then in the last round of pre-release. The enemy AI is more difficult (but not as bad as the infamous "crack AI days") so the improved allies are very useful.
@@ne0nmancer I saw, and I don't think they clearly remember what the old crack AI was really like? Everyone seems to have two or three maps they insist the AI is unplayable on, which simply wasn't a thing during peak crack days. It was every map, every person. Additionally, the group of maps people call out isn't universal; maps some people call "impossible with the new AI" are the same maps others call "still well balanced". I think the AI just got harder and it's been difficult to adjust. I've certainly had some trouble. Because the AI IS definitely harder than it's been for quite a while and it takes an extra chunk of effort to overcome, and I actually agree it's a little overtuned and could use a slight nerf (slight.) but it's simply not as bad as it was at its worst.
There are mods that tone the enemy AI down. Seems like it's as easy as a couple of numbers tweaks in some ini file. If it's that easy, the devs should really setup enemy AI difficulty settings. Even if the AI is "easier" to play against than it used to be, it's still absurd. So the difficulty has been reduced from "fighting against hyper-aggressive aimbot AI that instantly headshots you as you slice the pie from a doorway 30 yards away" to "fighting against hyper-aggressive aimbot AI that now generously waits 0.3 seconds before instantly headshotting you as you slice the pie from a doorway 30 yards away." It's still stupidly unrealistic and players should be able to tweak it to be more human and imperfect.
The cinematics are a wicked touch Tomo, cheers for the content. I've been loving the new updates but the voice stuff looks like a next level, one of the few grumbles I have with this game is how finnicky using the context menu can be sometimes so I'll give it a go.
At 13:55, Roughly says "Leave all hope behind" What a killer game and the voice commands make this game stand apart. The developers need to implement this into the game! We need moar content for this game!

Honestly got into Tom's videos from sniping games and this. Would love to see more videos and/or streams of this. This blows some big releases out of the water!
I stopped playing a while ago because the friendly AI wasn't that good, and I didn't really have anyone else to play with. But after the 1.0 release, it's like night and day! I usually like playing point, but I let the AI take the lead to see what they could do. I was blown away; they were checking corners, cuffing suspects, and even going into other open areas of rooms to clear them out. I haven't even tried the voice mod, so that's definitely on my list.
Suspect AI could still use some work. I still hate how the default for them is "Kill on sight." Or how too many suspect AI are in an area for no reason. The streamer mission is such a good example of this.
Yeah I was a bit annoyed with that mission. I realise that they wanted to be bigger than just to detain one dude but it’s like “this streamer killed his brother and mom” and when you get there theres an entire cartel in there
@@cgnovice2969that is all by design- the brief has faulty intel. Someone from the streamers live stream “Swatted” the streamer by making a fake call, however the streamer and the other suspects on the scene were running an illegal data mine so they thought the police were there for them.
I think the point is that it's bad intel - his brother is alive and idk about the mom. But clearly there is a bunch of other stuff going on - my theory is he actually got SWAT-ed and the team stumbles upon an illegal operation.@@cgnovice2969

I could watch this for HOURS. So immersive and intense with the intelligent AI, the voice orders Mod is a cool addition as well. And the No Restart on Fail adds massive tension.
I would LOVE for the creators of GTFO to take notes on how to do AI from VOID Interactive. This game is outstanding. I've only done the 1st mission/convenience store and holy... you're totally right this is like a horror movie in disguise. I had all citizens saved, couldnt find the last enemy - circled around carelessly to the front of the store and he just gunned me and my squad down. Literally everything you need to do needs to be precise and methodical. Expect the worst , hope for the best anytime you are going anywhere That voicemod is amazing though... think i need to get it

0:28 you can actually order a surrendered character to move by aiming at them and using command UI, even if they are not restrained, works like a charm in situations where I don't trust the suspect but moving in to arrest exposes me more than I'm willing to or where the suspect / civilian might be at risk of getting shot like in fatal funnel etc
I remember buying a special USB headset for PlayStation 2 to play SOCOM 2 because you could give your AI squadmates commands with your voice. It was so awesome and ahead of its time.
It's really cool, you can even make the AI open doors and pie thresholds so you can now choose if they're gonna do more deliberate and methodical clearing or go in fast and loud.
Reminds me of the classic Tom Clancys rainbow six Vegas 2 which was my favourite game of all time, single and online multiplayer, so much fun. I’ve never bought a rainbow six siege game since.
Ready or Not has come a long way. The SWAT AI is great and there's so much more content to sink into, but I do think suspect AI still needs a lot of work.
Completed this mission and lost a teammate at the final part of the tunnel fuck me this place was scary man - when I entered it I was literally wedging every damn door.
Me and my buddy tried doing the tunnels map and there was just no way we were going to clear it. It's absolute chaos but so fun! This game is incredible and this video is top notch entertainment. You just earned a new subscriber soldier!!!

I've been playing for a while and was getting kinda upset that we were not getting any more updates but still hopeful for the 1.0 and now... the 1.0 update is just a sight to behold, I've been playing non-stop.
I remember reading a SciFi by Larry Niven where one of the protagonists gave commands to an interplanetary shuttle by starting a phrase with "приказывать" (prikazyvat' - "order"), Russian being the language of interstellar colonization. I think it was "The Integral Trees". Nice to see reality has caught up, at least in giving commands to machines.
13:50 This means of course "Abandon all hope ye who enter here" is inscribed above the gates of Hell in Dante's "Inferno". This being RoN, there may be a hidden human sacrifice cult behind that door.

Had a dabble with in Pre-alpha and loved it. Now the full version is out and has been polished. Once you get the hang of commands and the AI behave its a fricking great game. Great vid.
The voice mod is like the same way you could control team members on SOCOM on console, it was odd/ clunky then but good to see how far this has come on
Watching you play with friends was fun but I would love to see more singleplayer with this voice mod. I really enjoyed how you could split them up and give them seperate commands.
I just have to take a few moments to say, the shots in your video are incredible. To pull this off in real life is one thing but achieving the quality you have in your videos is another. Furthermore, the creativity you implement is incredible as well. Especially that shot with the eyes looking back at you in the cave. Very well done!

The voice commands make it even better, giving commands is so much faster and more fluid, compared to multiple button presses and the menu. They are like human players, who actually listen to what the player says. Karmakut has a video about Voice Attack, if you want to test that out instead
You can actually command threats/civilians to crawl over to your position to restrain them, instead of risking moving to their position and getting hurt in the process. Game changing!
There are some things you really have to watch when you are clearing, making sure that there is no place where your team is not covered from, make sure your rolling doors and such before clearing
While that may be true in the real world, game knowledge also plays a big part in my ability to clear rooms in Ready or Not. I have close to 100 hours in this game so I know not to check behind low cover or behind doors and in corners since the enemies don't ever spawn or utilise those positions and will mostly just stand around in open areas, waiting for you to breach that room.
best Squaddie AI ever developed and Im talking before even the Swat/R6 days. People complain (yes enemy AI is still off) but if you realize what goes into making this sort of AI work youd be amazed

This brings me back to playing SWAT 4, it had the same feel as this but not as dark.
Don't forget, tell civilians or surrendering enemies to move to you so you don't put yourself or teammates in danger to secure them.

You can actually command threats/civilians to crawl over to your position to restrain them, instead of risking moving to their position and getting hurt in the process. Game changing!
There are some things you really have to watch when you are clearing, making sure that there is no place where your team is not covered from, make sure your rolling doors and such before clearing
While that may be true in the real world, game knowledge also plays a big part in my ability to clear rooms in Ready or Not. I have close to 100 hours in this game so I know not to check behind low cover or behind doors and in corners since the enemies don't ever spawn or utilise those positions and will mostly just stand around in open areas, waiting for you to breach that room.
