How I Beat Halo CE on Legendary in Under 90 Minutes

- In this video, I talk about my recent full game speedrun on Halo CE on Legendary. This run ended up being 90 minutes and was my best by a wide margin. There's still a lot of room for improvement, so as well as showing the cool tricks I do, I also talk about what I can still do to get faster.

Also halo 2 on legendary isnt very fun but you can do it...but halo 2 laso...now thats a guaranteed commit ring activation right there

True. But after watching a few videos on the topic, it seems Halo CE and 3 on LASO are somehow even more frustrating on LASO than 2. The latter is especially surprising, considering it has the easiest base Legendary of any Halo game.

Naked Eli was a great callback. Loved watching him back in the day, I remember his stream trying to beat halo 2 legendary without shooting. Insane stuff

I would have beaten Halo: CE faster, but a Frogarchist beat me over the fence.
Doesn't matter how many runs of Halo: CE I see, watching someone kill Marines on purpose still causes me to flinch :(
One is not a true Halo player unless they have gone on an absolute rampage and killed a bunch of marines atleast a 100 times.

I heard on your "How Long Can I Survive Halo 3 ODST's Legendary Firefight?" that you don't have anyone to go for the achievement "Vidmaster challenge: Endure". Coincidentally, I beat the ODST campaign on Legendary the other day and thought about how I never got that achievement myself back in 2010 when the game first came out. I'm gonna take that as a sign and shoot my shot. I'm a PC gamer with over 15,000 hours of first-person shooter experience on both consoles and PC across my entire life with around 5000 - 6000 being on PC. I reached Top 500 in Overwatch 1 and am currently GM1 in Overwatch 2. I also play other shooters like Hunt Showdown, Hell Let Loose, Valorant, Battlebit remastered. I've also beaten all the Halo games on Legendary multiple times on PC and console, although I am not a speed runner of these games. I would be a fine ODST to drop with IMO. Also I notice that you don't have a Discord. I have over 5 years of admin experience on Discord and was one of the earliest users. I can help you set one up if you'd like. I do not wish to admin or moderate your community, but I can definitely build you one in an hour or two and give you pointers when it comes to fostering a community on that platform.

3:05 I appreciate the optimistic outlook here; because you didn't get the skip this time, it leaves an obvious route to save more time on the next one. Also, I like to think of it personally as those marines getting revenge on you for all the teamkilling but hey. Amazing video, amazing run. Man I love your videos and they’ve really helped me out. I was even able to pull off the guilty spark glitch and get 11 min on that level! On two betrayals I can’t seem to figure out where to get out of the banshee to load the next part of the map. I either fall into the building or I’m not forward enough I guess. Sorry if this is spam, mainly wanted to say thanks and your videos have helped me a ton.

@@frogarchistyeah I can get the banshee out no problem at this point. The main issue has been the lack of checkpoints leading up to where you have to hop out of the banshee and hop back in. I’m currently doing your platform hop on the maw and that’s also testing my patience. I’ve been able to make it to the end of the cafeteria so far. These aren’t easy to do at all haha.

Oh Lord! I'm quite old to make a speedrun specially cause I broke like 3 controllers to make the "granade jump" 😂. Your talent is insane I'm just wondering how many hours did you spend to memorize the whole game?

You can edit campaign marines and make them look how you want them

More but I want your thoughts first like if it is too much or if it's good but just needs to be polished. If you see this thank you for your time. (EDIT) I forgot the only paying really is for the game and maybe a few things but most stuff is by grinding. Each rank if finished gives you things like Bronze, you get Spartan Buck Set.

The in-game timer is an option before starting a level. The timer you see here is a program called Livesplit.
Do you play halo customs on a discord sever? Would love to play with some of you guys with or without mods and what not!

Ive never done this but i never understand how speedrun people are never getting agroed/shot at. Me and my buddy just did halo 2 with no glitches besides Gravemind and uprising because we were acutaly losing our minds. And even watching people do gravemind they would run by getting shot 1-2 times but we would die instantly. I def wana get speed run achivments so i gotta learn One question i had for anyone who sees this if you pause the game does the games clock of beating a campagin in under x time pause when you pause the game?
1) Timer question: yes, it pauses when you pause
2) It's because they've played the game a lot more than you and are better at it. You can get there too, with practice.
