Rather than paying for G suite or another paid email hosting provider.

See the following steps:
Instead of turning on the "Less secure app address" (no longer available) you need to generate a password for an app.
1. Go to ‘Settings’ and choose ‘Security’
2. Go down to ‘Signing in to Google’ and choose the ‘App password’
3. Select ‘Mail’ as the app and set ‘Other’ as the device
4. Insert the email address that you're using (not the alias that you want to set up) and then copy the generated password
5. Use the email username (without @gmail.com) and the generated password on the second step of the video (under SMTP server bar)
Everything else is the same as explained in the video.

That is a good question. I would try and turn it back on but if you start having issues keep it turned off, that is fine.

Hello Stewart, it seems as though there is always "that one" who isnt able to have things work. I ensured that all of the steps were followed closely as it was a very simple & straight forward video. It seems that even though I have "less secure apps" turned on, when I go to try everything a second time, and click "add account" it still does not go through. I am not sure what has happened as I also have 2-step verification off. I would love some further guidance with this! Thank you so much!

@@StewartGauld I also see "via gmail" on the recipient end. I sent a test email to my personal gmail account, it shows that it came from the business email(info@....) but it has the "via gmail" attached to it. Can you show us how to remove it?

I'm a little confused as my situation is a little different. I just renewed my domain with my provider, but find the renewal of business e-mail too expensive (obviously free through gmail would be amazing!).
I'm confused on the steps to transfer the domain, as I still wanted to stay with my current provider, I just want to change e-mail providers. Do you have steps or video for that?

Please try again later, or contact the administrator of your other domain for further information.”

Same issue. Mails sent via alias account are landing in promotional Emails. Any solution for that? Thanx :)
Unfortunately, this can happen using this method. The best solution is to upgrade to a paid Google Workspace account when possible.
