To send email from gmail with a custom domain.
Update: A few people have said they can still get the cloudflare forwarder to gmail, but for many things go to spam, and sometimes things are totally undeliverable. It seems way too janky to recommend cloudflares forwarder at the moment, so the improvmx forwarder seems to be a better choice for now 👍

It seems like email forwarding from cloudflare doesn't work anymore for new domains... It keeps throwing messages that the custom address emails don't exist
For the brevo setup,there is just one TXT naming convention,the rest is CNAME..And thats where things get complicated

Thanks for the great explanation, I have a question for you, on minute 10:15 you can see an "Unsubscribe" button I'm supposing it's related to the email headers "list-unsubscribe" is there any way to get rid of that header? I don't want people on the other end of the loop thinking they are part of a mailing list they have never subscribed to and that "Unsubscribe" feature is really getting in the way

Thanks. Works, but in my case Gmail treats these emails as "Promotions", so it is big chance that they will not appear in "Primary' only in 'All Mail".

@IdeaSpot Why do you always opt to use an SMTP relay instead of "treat as an alias" and using the gmail server settings? What is the advantage of using brevo instead of smtp.gmail.com for sending?

Another excellent video, you should make more! Is there any chance you could do one on setting up Oracle Cloud Email Delivery on the free tier, as I haven't been able to get it to work despite spending hours on it? You have a knack for making tricky things doable.

I found that problem, Cloudflare says they forwarded but my Gmail doesn't show me not even in the spam folder! Then I disabled Cloudflare email forwarding and used my hosting default email but still I'm facing issues. Seems Gmail is going to be very strict nowadays!!

Negative experience with Brevo after following the instructions in this video: They suspend accounts without giving reason or notification, and there's no process to provide more information to validate your account and lift the suspension.
Made a new account and after sending 4 test emails to myself back and forth to confirm the custom domain routing was working, my account was suspended without any warning or without being notified. I only found out because an email wouldn't send, then when I check the email campaigns page in the dashboard it says there that there is a suspension. I didn't get an email or even some kind of in-website prompt/notification.
I opened a customer service ticket asking why and how to remediate, the response said they wouldn't say why my account was suspended and they don't actually have any way to remediate. So basically they just have a non-transparent one-way valve to lose customers.

Followed the guide, everything works, except any email I write under the alias is simply not sending. No error messages on either the receiver, or sender emails. Anyone know how to fix this?

@IdeaSpot yes definitely interested in Yahoo method as it would allow us access to 1TB storage. I tried setting this up but for send as, couldn't find a SMTP option like we have on Gmail. But forwarding works flawlessly, no reply emails are not being blocked like Gmail does.

Yes, you can. I did it with two different ones and I just created a new SMTP key for each of them.

This is alarming to me because I am relying heavily on some Cloudflare forwarders going to a kinda "catch all" gmail account that I use.
I just tested one of the more important ones and it worked instantly and nicely.
But now that I am hearing this I'll have to poke around inside my Cloudflare account and test a bunch of things to make sure nobodies emails are going into the ether.
Have your Cloudflare forwarders gone into the gmail spam filters, or just been blocked completely in a hidden way?

No problem with Cloudflare and Gmail. All working flawlessly oj multiple accounts. Not sure where is he facing problems
its very inconsistent, some days it will work, sometimes its impossible to get verification emails. After setting up the false spam percentage seems to be pretty high too. What type of domain extension are you on @DominikLackovic1 ? I suspect the .space or .site that I test with don't work as well as .com for example

I've been testing this - gmail doesn't seem to allow email forwarders (cloudflare or improv) for setting up the custom avatar - I tried setting it up on Zoho to get the avatar, then switched back to improv and that worked around it, so you could try that if you really want your gmail avatar.

Hi I am your subscriber from India I have been using Cloudflare's own email forwarding service to forward emails to my Gmail but since last week I noticed that majority of my emails are not forwarded saying DMARC fail, DKIM status none SPF pass and showing (Gmail has detected this email is suspicious etc ) since the policy change from Gmail, please create a video on this.

The free thing is getting improvmx forwarding and gmail working together. But before you paid cloudflare mail hosting, didn't you?
No, the only thing you need to buy for this one is the domain name, which can be bought from anywhere (namecheap, godaddy)

You just need to create a Google account using your business email, and from there, change the profile picture. It will be automatically reflected when sending emails from the alias
This to much of an hassle and a disaster waiting to happen if you rely on email which you probably do since you using a custom address. Anyone that needs a custom email might as well pay a couple of euros a month and pay for email.
I'm currently using ZeptoMail and is working fine, though the bounce email address and domain validation is a little confusing but it's free too!
