I just got my oil and filters from Amazon. I decided to change my own oil. I'm 76 years old and I know I can do a lot for myself. Thank you for the video. Now I know I can do it.

Good on you. It's definitely something worth knowing yourself cuz ppl like to charge too much for simple oil changes.
I was given that exact same mower and I love it. I have never used a riding mower before. I was diagnosed with MS so I physically can't push mowe any longer so the riding mower allows me to still enjoy mowing the yard.

Thanks for the info. Just bought an LTX1142 from my neighbor. I'm not very mechanically inclined and may have had a tough time finding that oil drain, my first instinct was that it was the allen head screw lol.

Not sure what the length was it came with the mower, maybe you could use a piece of cardboard to drain the oil into a container.

I was wonder what fuel ratio this mower takes. I currently have the same one and the gas cap says "Max 10% Ethanol." can I pour straight gas or do I need something else ?
Just regular gas if you can fin non ethanol fuel that is better. Thanks for watching

I have the exact tractor your changing the oil on, it’s a 2014. I live on Pa, what type of oil should I use?

Hey my ltx1050 started making a horrible grinding noise and is really slow getting my fat ass up even a slight hill now. Never did that before. Any ideas?
