@@BigfootDadExploresMontana EZ-Slide Oil Based Graphite coating helps preserve the deck AND works to keep wet grass etc. from building up under the deck. I wire cup brushed mine clean, scuffed the remaining good paint, blew the loose dust off with an air chuck. Wiped it all down with acetone and brushed on 3 coats of the EZ-Slide. I have a Craftsman T240 that has the exact deck setup. Just slapped the AG tires on the rear to get through some swampy spots in my 1-3/4 acre yard.
I scraped off all the grass this past Saturday from My 2020 Cub Cadet Enduro with Intellipower and power washed it. Later this afternoon (Monday) I am going to spray mine with two or three coats of "undercoating" I bought from Tractor Supply Co. It's for undercoating automobiles. It should hold up for years. I will check it in two months to see how it is doing. I had considered bed liner. Glad yours worked out as good as it did.
I'm a certified cub mechanic... you did a wonderful job with this video 😁👍.... I love what you did to the tractor 👍... you've done the best mods I've seen from any owner.... some of the mods I've seen from other owners... will make you cringe... 👍😁😁
Hi, Lou - thank you for your feedback - this is much appreciated! I hope my upcoming upgrade video (due out next season) doesn't hit the cringeworthy level, but is just may... We'll try to keep it somewhat classy. 😎
Although my wife and I were just talking last night about buying a Cub Cadet, I think this video is probably a stealth video ad for Cub Cadet...nice job guys.
Thank you, suppressed information! But I can promise I'm not part of Cub Cadet. They've never contacted me, unfortunately. 😁 On the up side, mine is still running well despite it's hard life - I used it to cut some pretty heavy overgrowth yesterday.
I added a washout port to my mower the beginning of summer. You'd be amazed how well it works. My mower deck used to look like that when I would have to scrape off old grass a few times a during cutting season. I checked it this week before storing for winter and with regular use of the washout port after every cut there was hardly any grass stuck to the mower deck.
It’s always a good idea to grease the rear axel because I had a mower in the other day and that axle was so darn rusted I had to sand it down to get then on there I’m giving you great tips for free lol almost a year later and I still watch the videos over and over again
My Xt1 arrived home on Monday, 5 days ago. It's awesome ~ I am going to coat the underside of the mowing deck with POR15 before the deck gets beat up too bad.. We thoroughly enjoyed your mods and might get the upgraded tires when the originals wear out ~ Thanks for doing the legwork and providing the links =]
This was the most fun DIY video I've ever watched. Who wudda thought I'd laugh out loud watching a tractor vid! & YES I have a Cub Cadet bought a few months a go & already looking to improve. Thank you. Thank you...
Having just purchased my first ever CC, a Lt42 intellipower enduro series I was pleased to find your video. Informative and funny, excellent .👌 Hopefully the yellow bee will live up to it's predecessor, a John Deere D120 which had 835 hard hours on it before it gave up the ghost, but only time will tell. The Australian CC version came with black wheels and thin LED lights, very Transformer looking. Thanks for the video. Greetings from outback Australia. 🦘
Thank you, Mark! I'm glad it was helpful. Let's hope it lives up to your expectations - especially with how much they are charging for these now. Always fun to talk to someone from a country I want to visit someday!
Hi, Steve! Thank you for your kind feedback! I'll admit that this one took quite a while to edit, but was worth it if it helps anyone else out there with their upgrades, and to maybe to have a little fun along the way. Welcome to the community and hopefully we'll see you around more in the future! 😎
I have a 2005 Troy Bilt Pony. 42in is perfect for my property because it's just a single family home. The deck is starting to rust through and it is discharging all of the debris out of the top of the deck. The mower runs great but I know I'm going to be in the market for a new one after this season. I was at Home Depot yesterday picking up blades and I was literally looking at this exact Cub Cadet sitting next to the same size Troy Bilt Pony that I have right now. I like the hydrostatic drive. I like the taller profile and I love the seat. This is $400 more than the Troy-Bilt. I'm glad you made this video. It just made it easier to make my decision.
I love the Gator blades on my XT2. I installed a LED light bar on the underside of my push bar for night operations. Great idea with the ATV tires. Wish I thought of that.
Hi, E. Nelson - now that is probably the best way to get light output from the tractor! Never too late to upgrade your tires as well to complete the transformation. 😎
I have watched about 46 videos about lawn tractors and zero turn mowers. I have taken 1 trip to the store for a sit down in different models.and a phone call for extra info. I was at the probable decision on CC XT1 42. But honestly, I have been walking my mower for 30 years, and the hills and dips make the decision difficult. This and your other Cub Cadet video are just fun. If I get one, you will have tipped that balance. I will probably need those big O tires for my hills. Thank you again.
Hi, Stewart! Thank you so much for your feedback! I think as long as you're hitting the hills straight on and they're not too steep, something like this may work (in accordance with the safety guidelines for the mower - sorry, have to say that 😉). The tires seem to help my on my terrain pretty well. If you decide to get one, let us know how it goes!
@@BigfootDadExploresMontana Today was the day. They (Tractor Supply) raised the price back to 1699, from last weeks 1599. Didn't notice until on the trailer. OH well. Got it home went straight to my hills. It did OK on about 1/2. The other 1/2 was a little sketchy. My hills are bumpy. as a rear wheel lifts up, ... yes it just spins. I could rock in the seat a little an that helped. A little shovel work will fix my entry and exit, to the highs, and lows. Checked tire air when putting unit away . all 25+ PSI . Took them down to 13PSI and will how it does. Thank you for your pep talk. I think TSC owes you a thank you also. Now lookin for a GUITAR silhouette sticker. With Flames of course. :)
Hi, quiksol - thank you for your feedback and welcome to the community! We'll have other videos with different subjects so hoping to see you around here again soon!
I’ve got a agway lawnmower that my neighbor gave to me I got it running really well and put the hood on but while I was messing around and driving it it shot the dipstick out and ran without oil it locked up and I got it freed with a crowbar and now it runs ok and I mow 4 ft tall grass with it no problem
I just stumbled across this video , it is one of the best utube videos I have ever seen , your humor is unsurpassed , & the children playing & laughter at the end is the icing on the cake , may I say a little touch of heaven here on earth , btw I have 8 riding mowers , Thankyou for sharing & may God Bless
Hi, Michael - thank you for this feedback! I work pretty hard on these so it's good to hear when someone really enjoys them. I think you fully experienced the effect I was going for. I can also tell you're a fan of yard machines like I am, but 8x more! I hope to see you around more as we progress forward on the channel.
I'm 46 years old always lived in small towns or suburbs and as long as the lawn mower started I was happy. Until 2 years ago when we bought 5 Acres of wooded hillside. Now I have opinions about my Cub Cadets and find myself watching videos like these.
Hi, ughettapbacon! It's ok, we have a support group for that, and it looks like you've found it. 😅 But, hey, there's always room for upgrades to help us feel better about our purchase, and that's what ultimately binds is together. Welcome - we're glad you're here with us now!
Never had an automatic battery charger. Have an ancient old 1 amp trickle charger though I put on occasionally when I bring the battery indoors for winter storage. I thought of adding a brush guard, but then I wouldn't be able to get in as close as I like to in some areas, leaving more for the string trimmer to do so I opted against it. I did add LED lights instead of the old incandescent 1156's. Our land is fairly flat so atv tires are unnecessary. I did however pump slime into the old tires so I don't have to air them back up every week, lol. Adjusted the valve lash yesterday, .004 on the intake and .006 on the exhaust. Also added "poor man's power steering" by adding needle bearings to the front axle spindles. Will also add bearings to front axles and get rid of the old bushings to save on axle wear and let the wheels spin more freely. Also fixing to put in an inline fuel switch to make it easier to run the carb dry in the fall without having to empty the tank.
Just bought a Cub LT50, and was thinking of adding bearings to the axles. If you have an AGM battery you should make sure the battery charger is compatible.
@@anthonybrincefield2812 The batteries I use are plain old-fashioned lead acid batteries. I've found that if I leave them in the mower over the winter it shortens their lifespan significantly as opposed to wintering them indoors in my utility room and occasionally topping them off with the trickle charger. My last battery lasted about 3 years keeping it outside in the mower. My current battery is the same brand, same cranking amps, etc. and so far it is now on its 5th year and cranks the engine over as well as when it was new. Now, of course I don't do that with my truck's battery, but it gets used at least once a week so it isn't sitting dormant in the cold for long periods of time. I did add the needle thrust bearings to the steering spindles and they work great. However, the bearings I tried to replace the bushings with, while they fit okay inside the wheel hubs, they would not fit on the axles at all, not even when trying to persuade them with a BFH, lol. So, for now at least I'll just keep greasing the old bushings.
Thanks, Bruce! I'm practicing because that part of life for me is not so far away anymore. I'm glad you're enjoying these videos. Hopefully more to come soon.
Yes, I think you'll find these work pretty good. Right now my tires are still covered in mud from last season. It does seem to help! Put them on and let us know how it works. 😎
Can’t believe it’s been 2 yrs since I’ve watched this video. I found myself coming back to this video now that I am in the market for a riding lawn mower. I’m actually looking at this model and the xt2.
Hi, Sean - this is awesome and I'm glad you found this helpful. Honestly, I think personally I would go with the XT2 next time because I think it's a bit more durable. However, if you get the XT1, there's more budget to customize it for your needs. 😎 Good luck on your purchase!
Hi, Oledad - thanks! 😂 It was a fun adventure and I'm glad you and others could join in too. I appreciate the feedback and I'm glad you're here in the community. I have footage for a few more videos - just have to find the copious amount of time to edit each one.
This is, in my opinion, the BEST VIDEO on TH-cam...SERIOUSLY!!! I just bought the 30inch rider, the baby brother, lol. I ran across this and just thought thus video was VERY WELL DONE!!!
Hi, David - thank you for the kind words! So much effort went into making this video and comments like this are what keeps me going. More to come soon, but on a smaller scale.
Cool video! I upgraded mine with bar tread tires almost immediately. Natural springs make for copious mud mowing opportunities. Tip: oil change is a fall maintenance item. You don't want it sitting all winter with the impurity "tainted" oil.
Hi, Norsefalconer - thank you for the feedback and the oil change tip. I certainly think that is reasonable and may look into that after this season is over. Your mud mowing opportunities sound epic. 😅
My cub cadet comes tomorrow and I am ready to get the upgrade tires already. I have a big hill in the backyard and can't wait to start climbing it. Awesome video thanks
Hi, Thomas - congrats on the purchase! Tires are still working great on this side so it should be a worthy upgrade. Post back your impressions if you feel like sharing your experience!
Toby - you're the first one to mention the BTTF reference!! Congrats! My voice actor will be pleased and all is not for naught! So much fun to have with the ordinary. Hopefully I can get rolling on some new ideas with some obscure references and ideas. Thank you for your feedback! 😎
Hi, Sean - well, I certainly appreciate you watching and commenting! I'm glad it was entertaining enough for this compliment. Hope to see you around again here soon!
I bought this mower last year (2020) and planned on it serving me for several years. I was proud of my new mower! I changed the oil and filter at 4.8 hours and used it most of last summer. It sat in my carport during the winter. I changed the oil and filter again at 11.1 hours before using it this spring. I had been using it approximately 15 - 20 minutes when I heard a loud bang and it stopped immediately. I took it to an authorized service center and after contacting MTD (Cub Cadet Corporate) they will not cover the warranty and fix my almost brand new mower! I talked to corporate and asked them what I could have done to prevent this, and their answer was they wished they could tell me, but they are not going to fix my mower. I will never buy another Cub Cadet product, nor recommend to anyone I know! Through no fault of my own, this mower turned out to be highly defective, and Cub Cadet is being penny wise and dollar foolish!
I,m going to guess that without a fuel shut off valve, the fuel leaked into the oil when parked and thinned the oil and took out the bearings. I had similar deal with another mower after forgetting to shut off my manual fuel shut off valve
Bigfoot Dad Explores Montana I’m glad you liked my comment that mower looks awesome very very clean look that’s how my John Deere will look when it’s finished only well, green 😂
Just ordered a set of those rears for my zero turn. I have a low strip across the middle of my 5 acre yard that is slow to dry out in the spring when I start mowing and I get stuck every year while trying to get that area mowed. With these tires I believe my spring time mowing will be more enjoyable this year. If I am happy enough then my second zero turn will be getting a set also.
You mean to tell me that this guy cares about his mower and did maintenance lol when I get a mower in no one changes air filters or oil thanks for the video good quality and content I like the upgrades and those blades are a good choice I’d recommend them to anyone who mows grass also cub cadet is good I own some old ones and love em probably one of the best brands I do recommend that it’s helpful to clean it off when done using it I always leaf blow mine off when done because the grass holds moisture I learned a lot from this video thank you!!
Hi, Hunter - yes, indeed! I bet you see a lot of the worst of it in some cases if you're doing this on a regular basis. 😂 I really appreciate your feedback and insight. I agree with you on the cleaning procedure - the leaf blower would actually probably be a more efficient way of cleaning off the mower. Thanks again and keep the comments and tips flowing as we release new videos.
Hi, Aaron! Very cool to hear about creating a smoother ride! If you come up with something cool, feel free to take some pics and send them to me on Instagram.
And to think this was just going to be your average run of the mill mower video. That part where you uncovered what lies beneath the growth under the deck made me buckle in for an epic vid. And I was not disappointed
Jim - 😂 I like to add a little something extra to keep the videos a bit more watchable. Very glad you appreciate the humor too. Thank you for letting me know and welcome to the community!
The exit chute often cracks or a stone will blow through it. Had to replace two!So, I spent $20 and had a spray-in truck bed liner. I used Line-X. Fixed the problem.
Bro the production though! 🔥🔥🔥 Just got me a new poulan pro riding mower so now the next step is installing all terrain tires, a brush guard , and a fresh set of blades
Gilitar - this is... tempting. And it's giving me an idea. 😂 As for the mud, I wish I could avoid that, but to be honest, it is so dusty that I actually wait for a light rainstorm before I mow sometimes. I do let it dry out for a bit, but right before it's completely done, I'm out there hitting it out as fast as possible.
I have a mower lift, it is a great time saver. I use my cordless impact to remove the blade nuts then put them back on with a torque wrench, its much safer with a impact removing the blades, you can put them back on with an impact but I don't recommend it as you may over-tighten and strip the threads by doing so. Yep mowing really wet grass causes all that buildup under the deck.
Great video! My wife and I are going to buy our first new riding lawnmower today. I have destroyed our last two used mowers, and countless push ones as well. And well, I'm like most guys, need the new one to be "personalized". Thanks for the great ideas. I live in a very hilly area and your tires look awesome! We will certainly be checking them out. I was not aware that buying ATV tires were even an option for replacements. Subscribed to your channel, and look forward to seeing more of your great work.
Hi, Tim - thank you for leaving your feedback! I didn't know they'd fit either until I was browsing alternate tires to help with grip and these very similar sizes came along. Then I had an idea... 😂 But later I found out that a lot people have been doing this a while too. Let us know how you're liking your new mower and, if you decide to upgrade, maybe a short video is in order... 😉
@@BigfootDadExploresMontana Hey thanx this made me really want to do this with my new 2022 xt1 lt fab- wish you could have done something with the seat, its way to close and not comfy

Hi, Forever Misguided - thank you for the feedback! Power tools - well, they usually sit on the sidelines. I like to use handtools for the videos because that's all that most people have. I do have footage where I'm using some of them - someday it may see the light of day. Anyways, glad you enjoyed the film and I'm glad you're here!
I genuinely enjoyed this. I installed off road led lights to my Troybilt and although not necessary I made my blades razor sharp just because we got buffalo and Johnson over 5x5 acres and layered a super thick layer of flex seal and flex tape on the inside of tires
V8 For A Heart - the off road LEDs - dude, yes - that's what I'm talking about! You have quite the yard adventure and, actually, it sounds like a blast. And you've upgraded just right to suit your needs so I commend that!
Bigfoot Dad Explores Montana my mower crapped out a few weeks ago. Bearing chewed itself right up on the shaft for the blades. Collided with the other blade and bent the shaft , cracking the hub and in turn locking up the motor to a complete stop and roasted the belt.
Great video! Love the aggressive tire look. I've been using same set of Gator blades on my JD for nearly 20yrs are great! The only thing I would change are the front plastic bushings 11:45. You can upgrade from bushings to actual wheel bearings. If you noticed the bushings will wear the spindle over over time 12:11.
Hi, @stevelucas2117 - yes, I totally agree that I should have done this. This was a few years ago and I am recalling that there wasn't much information on how the bearings worked. At the time, for some reason I thought they weren't compatible with the spindle and wheel. I still think this is a worthy upgrade and might have to check this out soon. Thank you for your comments and we're glad you're here with us now! 😎
I have never left a comment on a TH-cam video. Thank you very much for your videos on the Cub Cadet XT1 42". I bought the same one back in 2017 and I am now using your videos as reference. Happy subscriber!

Thank you for subscribing and hoping to hear more from you soon! 😎 Let us know what you decided to upgrade!
there is actually alarge group of people who build offroad mowers just for offroading, they strip them down and basically turn them into a 2 wheel drive atv super cool
Seems like Oregon company could make the balancing doo dad with a star pattern on top to accommodate their blade. I blow off the top of the deck with compressed air after mowing and would surely do it before major servicing. Instead of pulling it all off as you have I might jack the whole thing up and set 4 to 6 inch blocks under all the wheels and while lying on the ground work up from underneath. For purposes of demonstration you did it best by pulling the entire thing. I like the board wedge for holding the blade to get the fasteners off. Checking tightness of fasteners and blades clearance, while you're in there is a good thing. Thank you for reminding us to do that. I have walked around this yard and dug out cacti before mowing. Too bad nobody thought to tape over the grease fitting tips before powder coating. The rims look very good by the way. Press on grease zerks; what will they think of next ? :-( Does John Deere do screw in grease fittings ? How does JB Weld figure into a tinting scheme ? I would want my lights un tinted for best night time vision but to each their own. I like a backing music track that doesn't compete with the voice over, good work ! As if the west doesn't have enough wind blown dust. ;-p
Hi, Gweedo - Ghost Dad was being facetious about the JB Weld in his mythical concoction of ingredients to tint the headlights. We actually just went down to the local auto store and bought a can of spray-on lens tint. Thank you for sharing your thoughts above and for the feedback!
wow pretty impressive for a modern mower that still cuts the grass. me and a couple friends are into moding and off-roading mowers, but it's fun to see someone who takes such good care of ther tracter.
Bigfoot Dad Explores Montana; I understand if you remove this comment as it includes me promoting my channel, I have a video on my yt of me and my friend testing and pushing our mud mowers to the limit. this vid is not public yet but will be in about 2 weeks (as I have a schedule to try to stick to): th-cam.com/video/g5pkKyU_u7I/w-d-xo.html
i put ag tires on my old craftsman mower, and really liked the added traction on hills. i'll probably put them on my cub cadet LT42 after the warranty is up next year
i have a cub cadet xt1 , i use an air compressor, power washer with the under car attachment spray or i use the lift kit that i bought , and power wash when the front end is up high
Thank you for the tips. My XT2 spends all summer towing a dethatcher and aerator as well as trailers and all winter pushing a snowblower. Liquidflating the rear tires added traction for towing and pushing. Your new blades are for mulching, you can tell by the inward twist of the teeth at the back of the blade. High lift blades will be twisted outward to increase the lift and discharge of material. After a couple of warranty issues with a new machine it has proven to be an excellent purchase.
I have the same tractor..I put some Harley Davidson rear view mirrors on mine..if I do all that other stuff u did..I will be the envy of the neighborhood..thx for the ideas!
I bought those same front tires from wal-mart, made by WANDA. I got them for extra traction in the winter for blading, but I'm going to install them on wheel barrow rims w/bearings instead. Loved the upgrades to your tractor though!
Hi JayPee - Yes, I do think Wanda are the same tires, from what I remembered from my research a while back. You ever think about making a wheel barrow upgrade film? 😉 Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad you're here with us now!
I recently upgraded mowers but now have a 12+ year old YardMan with a shot deck that still runs fine. I have been kicking around ideas of what to do with it. I don't have a need for a proper large tractor but I do have some tasks in mind that I might be able to fabricate some attachments for this mower to do. I might have to make a front and back attachment and cast some cement weights to keep it grounded, but those tires you put on certainly got my mind thinking. The only thing keeping me at bay of doing all this is I don't have much confidence in the drive train / transmission if you will on these things holding up to this sort of pulling force. I picture the drive box to be made up of mostly plastic / nylon gears and that when under this sort of pulling force it might just chew them right up, or the belt that drives the whole thing will just begin slipping. Who knows.
Hi, Terence - You have a very valid point about the stress on the transmission from those tires. That is eventually what lead me to put that disclaimer on the front of the film. The transmission was probably engineered for these turf tires to allow slippage if under too much stress. On your YardMan - it may be time to upgrade that thing with some of the mods you mentioned and maybe post it on your channel! 🙂
My XT1 is spotless underneath. Mowing leaves in the fall cleans under the deck down to bare metal just like sandblasting would. I never remove the deck to change blades. Works for me.
I have the same mower and you vid reminds me that in the year of using it i have done zero mantinace. Oil change time. I bought the cub cadet 3 stage snow thrower for it and since it's a thrower rather than a plow it doesn't even need chains which i thought was nice.
I have the same lawn tractor. 3rd season on mine still the original blades are in great shape, surprised, my previous lawn tractor was a Craftsman YT4000 and I swear you had to sharpen the blades every time you mowed...must have been really soft metal that those blades were made from. I just put gator mulching blades on my lawn tractor...my only complaint with this mower deck is the lack of a baffle system up front and to the side to keep the clippings under the deck, there's a lot of blowout in mulching mode. I have a 42" 3 stage snow blower for my lawn tractor, it works year round so no need for a battery tender....during downtime I'll go out and start it every couple weeks if we don't have enough snow for the blower to be used. I have been thinking about pulling those front bushings and getting bearings for the front wheel spindles...kind of stupid to use plastic bushings like that on a component that has weight on it all the time and spinning under that weight. I've heard of people doing a bearing swap and just need to find out the size to order and get it done, and then that grease zerk will actually be usable for something. Hmm, the ATV tires sound like a great upgrade, I may do that to mine. Wishing now I would have got the XT3 Garden Tractor with the rear diff-lock and shaft drive...the rear diff-lock would have saved me last weekend mowing the front ditch. Got to the end of the ditch and went to turn back into the yard through the ditch like I usually do but it was a soupy mess and got stuck...have to admit though, first time getting this lawn tractor stuck, the Craftsman seemed to get stuck in everything, this XT1 lawn tractor goes through a lot of stuff that the Craftsman would get stuck in, but that diff-lock would sure be nice but can't afford the $5400+ for the XT3 GSX54 LOL.
I love this video, GREAT products, wish I could buy a cub cadet with all these features on it, as I am a 70 year senior lady and it would be hard for me to do all this, in 2021 I will be buying a new cub cadet, maybe you could make a deal with cub cadet to start making a machine with all your great features. It would definitely be an interesting purchase.

Exactly he should have just stood the lawn mower up on the back 😂 no need to remove the whole deck
When I removed my deck for the first time I power washed it sanded it down and had it sprayed with bed liner. 20 years later it’s still rust free.
Hi, Medic407 - I agree - I should have done that in the film. I appreciate your feedback and I may give this a shot now!
Under that bed liner there will be rust.
@@BigfootDadExploresMontana what did you use on your cub cadet riding mower to give it shine. In the upgrade video
The first video I've found that shows how to *properly* remove the deck on the XT series. Well done and highly entertaining!
how does one become a certified small equipment mechanic? Study for 15 minutes and take some bullshit test?
Although my wife and I were just talking last night about buying a Cub Cadet, I think this video is probably a stealth video ad for Cub Cadet...nice job guys.
Thank you, suppressed information! But I can promise I'm not part of Cub Cadet. They've never contacted me, unfortunately. 😁
On the up side, mine is still running well despite it's hard life - I used it to cut some pretty heavy overgrowth yesterday.
Thank you, Randall! I'm glad you enjoyed the film and the spirit of what we're trying to do here. Welcome to the community! 😎
Pro tip from an aircraft mechanic: only one click with the torque wrench, that second click is technically overtorqueing
Diesel mechanic agrees,1 click yer good!!
Oh, my!
Euro tech agrees a year late. Sorry I had to top off my oil. Btw don't forget to set your torque wrenches to dead 0 😁🤷♂️
Industrial mechanic same answer one click
Plz who need proper torque? Give it 2 uggs and it's good
Putting a blade on the front of these cubs with the upgrade tires gives young a mini-dozer, fabulous!!!
Hi, Dudley - yeeees! I've thought about this a time or two... ❄️
Did somebody say “tinting the headlights on a lawnmower?”
Bro, that was hilarious. Instant sub.
The most entertaining lawnmower video on TH-cam!!!!
My mom bought a XT1 about a year back. I was really surprised how good it is. I am used to the older cub cadets.
That's great to hear, Chris! Yes, it's amazing how improved these newer yard tractors are - some changes for the better, and some not-so-much.
Stumbled across your channel when researching a new riding mower purchase, and I'm really impressed by your production value. Thanks for the videos!
Bought one of these , watching your excellent videos has convinced me I made the right decision . Thank you Mate !!!

Loved the video. Just picked this mower up today. I hear nothing but great things about it
I just stumbled across this video , it is one of the best utube videos I have ever seen , your humor is unsurpassed , & the children playing & laughter at the end is the icing on the cake , may I say a little touch of heaven here on earth , btw I have 8 riding mowers , Thankyou for sharing & may God Bless
I have this exact cadet 42” and VERY entertaining. Thanks
I have this same mower and love it. I added the arm rests to the seat. Great upgrade. Looks cool too.
I looked into them until I saw they were $150+ to add them. I figured at that pricepoint my arms can go without rest.
Dude I cannot believe I just spent 15 minutes watching you pimp your lawn tractor.....Worth every minute!
😂 Thank you, Anthony - I'm glad you took the time to watch it. Let's see what else we can come up with! And thank you for commenting and sharing!
I love those tires, I got to get some.
BigAl - yes, def! No regrets! 😎
Really nice work... I enjoyed your humor and upgraded mower features.. absolutely killer!!
Kindest Regards 👍🏻

I love your work Bigfoot Dad. You're an inspiration to old geezers like me. Also love the Dan Akroyd look from the Blues Brothers.
Thanks, Bruce! I'm practicing because that part of life for me is not so far away anymore. I'm glad you're enjoying these videos. Hopefully more to come soon.
Great video. I’d love to put those tires on my XT1. I’ve gotten stuck in my muddy yard a few times in the spring and fall.
Yes, I think you'll find these work pretty good. Right now my tires are still covered in mud from last season. It does seem to help! Put them on and let us know how it works. 😎
I have bar treads on mine. It only got stuck once, but it was sunk to the rear axle. Mud Mowin' Baby!

Hi, David - thank you for the kind words! So much effort went into making this video and comments like this are what keeps me going. More to come soon, but on a smaller scale.
I upgraded my 6HP Tecumseh with a 16HP Vanguard V-Twin and put on a bucket car seat.
Lol
Drill a hole and install another valve on the opposite side of your wheels if you run Hub caps or want easy access.
Hi, Gord - that's a great idea!

Just wow. This video... a Harry and the Hendersons reference followed by BttF2? All while upgrading a mower. This is total modern dad material.

I'm buying this mower from HD tomorrow.
Hi, J D -thank you for your feedback and congrats on the purchase today! I hope you like it as much as I do.
This looks like a episode of pimp my ride only it’s pimp my mower 😂😂😂 awesome video buddy I subscribed
That's it - I'm changing the title of the film. 😂 Thanks, Ian - I'm glad you're here!
Hi, Dale86 - this sounds like an awesome upgrade for a zero-turn. Send me a picture after installed to my Facebook account and I'll share it here.

Bigfoot Dad Explores Montana your welcome glad I could help your videos are straight forward and to the point
I love how it looks, BUT, those tires would tear up a lawn so fast. If you plan on doing field work with it, fine but a regular lawn, no thanks.
They won’t tear up anything unless it’s wet
Cool video. ATV tires with traction control does chew grass up dry or wet. Wifey not happy when I tried those tires. In the Snow they work great!
@@hipsterj1 👍
I cut all season with chains ⛓ on my tires. Only turfs the lawn if you spin which isn’t very often.

5/8" would be 16mm, 5/8" = 15.8mm
14mm is a 9/16
The exit chute often cracks or a stone will blow through it. Had to replace two!So, I spent $20 and had a spray-in truck bed liner. I used Line-X. Fixed the problem.

The other wheels slip. The new wheels just make a rut in your yard
Yes, this is true. But my yard is kinda rutty anyways. 😅
Free speed bumps!
Bro the production though! 🔥🔥🔥 Just got me a new poulan pro riding mower so now the next step is installing all terrain tires, a brush guard , and a fresh set of blades
Hi, Joshua - thank you for the feedback! Absolutely - those upgrades should bring it to the next level, without a doubt!
Dude, go get a riding mower lift and thank me later. And stop mowing wet grass!
I still think this is a worthy upgrade and might have to check this out soon. there is actually alarge group of people who build offroad mowers just for offroading, they strip them down and basically turn them into a 2 wheel drive atv super cool
Hi, Joe - ah, yes - I've been sucked into a couple marathons of these videos. So much fun and... I have an urge to join the ranks someday.

Dude - that looks like so much fun! Mudding with the mowers - I like it!
i put ag tires on my old craftsman mower, and really liked the added traction on hills. i'll probably put them on my cub cadet LT42 after the warranty is up next year
Do they tear up your lawn?
The Oregon Gator blades are well worth the money. Bought my first set four years ago and have used nothing else since.
i have a cub cadet xt1 , i use an air compressor, power washer with the under car attachment spray or i use the lift kit that i bought , and power wash when the front end is up high
Love that clip from "Harry and the Hendersons" I love that movie.
I have the same tractor..I put some Harley Davidson rear view mirrors on mine..if I do all that other stuff u did..I will be the envy of the neighborhood..thx for the ideas!
Mirrors? Why didn't I think of this. 😅 Yes, you definitely will be the envy of the block!
I was planning on spray paint some flames on my tractor. Good job bigfoot!
Dennis, if you do that, send me a photo and I'll post it up the community! 😁
Awesome look you gave that Club Cadet and Great video!
Thanks, Larry - much appreciated! 🙂
I have the same mower and you vid reminds me that in the year of using it i have done zero mantinace. Oil change time. I bought the cub cadet 3 stage snow thrower for it and since it's a thrower rather than a plow it doesn't even need chains which i thought was nice.
Matthew - very cool with the snow thrower - I'd love to use one of those too!
I enjoy the humor and quality of your videos! Thank you for such a informative video keep up the good work!
Thank you, Robert!
I can't believe I watched this whole video.. And bought a brush guard🤦.. Very entertaining..👍
Tyrone - 😅 well, at least you, too, will be safe from those random hairy forest creatures now! Thanks for the feedback - I'm glad you liked it!
This was awsome!! What a way to trick out a Cub!!! I just love this video!!!
Thanks, Kevin - glad you enjoyed it! Gotta have a little fun even in the seemingly mundane tasks of life. 🙂
Hi, JA LO - thank you for your feedback! I think that's a great idea - I may ping Cub Cadet to see if they are interested. 😂 That would make an awesome film.
I would be interested to hear the out come of such a deal with cub cadet
The editing was top notch, the whole video was enjoyable. I am subscribing for more!
Thank your for the feedback, Dale! Welcome to the community.
Awesome upgrades. I’m getting my cub xt2 lx46 delivered tomorrow and I plan on doing some upgrades. It’s not just a tool to mow the lawn, it’s kind of a toy I guess.
Hi, @arctrooper! Congrats on the purchase! How has everything gone so far? Totally agreed - it can be a bit more exciting than just a run-of-the-mill mower - it can be anything you want to make it!
