@@DoubleDguitar What i am finding is i download the data file and select it then put it on a preset patch and it seems to add to it rather than replace it. Then if you move from the patch to another like 2a to 2b then back again the sounds is different again. Not exactly the original sound but not exactly the downloaded sound either. Its weirding me out. I am grateful to you now I know how to play around with it but i have no idea why it is not changing the sounds like it should. Oh, and I turned off the loopback, no idea what that does but it didn't change much. Then i saw the "save AM2data data to device" and it has a drop down with 1-9 so i tried saving to that. Again no idea what it did. But my thought is did i save that file to channel 1 so all 4 patches are now affected? Because 1a used to be a clean and now it is a cruch sound. And the other 3 sounds sound distorted but i cant remember if they sound more or less distorted. So I clicked "Restore all amp and ir to default" and the couple of patches I changed first went back to default but that 1a is still a crunch sound. I will keep playing and see if I cant figure out what I like. This is interesting once you think you know what you are doing.
@@rldays9179 yeah, you have to save it to a slot and it will overwrite what was there previously. Loopback is to listen back to audio from your pc via the tank.
@@pawekowalski510 I mostly do that to demo how close they come to the actual capture. I do not capture with an IR, so you can use your own. In most of the videos, I demo the tones with an IR. When I am not using one, it’s because I am still comparing.
@@АлексейС-ы3з hey man, thank you! The easiest and at this point only way is to load it into a NAM player, like I did with the ToneX One. Then use the ANN app to capture the sound from the pedal. Or use two interfaces and computers, one for captures and one running the NAM app with the in and out assigned to the in and out you use in the capture process. A little convoluted. Sure thing, not a worry. I did not add the IR during the ANN process so you can add whichever one you want into the IR slot. And when playing the demos of the preamps, I did have the IR on, using the Forward Audio The Fredman tube capture. It’s a great IR.
@@gilbertotoledo1421 hey man, you can plug into their updater software to see. Also, there is a number on the mobo when you open it and it will say V2 if it’s the new one. Hope that helps!
@@Thedudemannn well, they are pretty different things. I would love to be able to just grab the Tank and go, but the switching isn’t prefect on mine. Having these files converted and in the tank, it does give me a great copy of my basic needs. But using the ToneX and the software is much deeper than diving into the tank software.
No. I’m sorry I was unclear, as this is a follow up to the MVave capture software. I can capture preamp, drives, distortions etc with their ANN software and turn them into files that we can import into the Tank G. So I have done that with the Boss IR 2, some drive pedals and now a couple of captures in my ToneX One pedal. So I had to use the actual pedal and software to translate the file in real time, but it works like a charm.
@@ProGoTones well so far I have only captured two ToneX sounds, but essentially yes. With the Tank G and the newest software, you can put any of the “tweaked” files I uploaded right in. If you want to tweak any of my uploads with your own eq points, gain changes etc, you would use their ANN software and just drop them into one of the first 9 preamp slots. You can’t directly take a ToneX file and put it straight on. At least not yet, that I have seen. Check through the videos, I have some Boos ones and also some straight up drive pedals you can grab.
@@DoubleDguitar great concept. But, I’m not understanding which file type from my computer would need to be loaded on. So, I’ll just use the Tonex one for now I guess.
@@ProGoTones you would need the Tank and it’s software. An alternative to the ToneX thaaaaang. I am going to grab a few more for tank users. I really love the One pedal.
@@____jessica hmm weird, I am not sure. Are you importing the AM2data file or the raw am2? Also, are you using the Ann app or are you using the MEFCs? If the latter, you will need the data file versions, which means it has been tweaked in their Ann software, and isn’t just a raw capture. My Playwell video has all the links updated with the data and raw files.
@@DoubleDguitar Not the am2Data file, I mean the folder "IR from video" that contain a .wav file. I think they are all bell style, in order to accurately add and reduce the specific frequency and the Q range selected. A shelf wouldn’t really have a Q option, more a pass point. So I am almost positive that is how they are set up. Great question! Thanks for checking the video out.

I have not tried the headphone out, but they do a lot of updates for this. And yeah, you can go straight to a monitor with either the xlr or the 1/4” outputs. I hit my interface, which feeds a couple of sets of mons for me to switch through.
@@DoubleDguitar Thank you very much for the info! I can't actually decide if I'd get one to learn and practice guitar with or go for a nux mg300. The mg300 had many positive reviews specially on the tone and seems so straight forward and easy to use. But man, for more than half the price I could get this. @@DoubleDguitar Yeah, but how can anyone play without an IR and think that it actually sounds good or judge the sound? That's the main component of what makes the sound good
@@seventhplace in the Tank, a user can add the Ir, like I do in all the videos once I get to the M-EFCS software. This is where I do final tweaks, and the user can as well. Tweaking along with the cab they want. When I play through the Tank, I use the IR slot, as it has 9 choices and doesn't take away from footswitch ability or change anything else about the Tank. I also capture drive pedals, in the same manner. Some sound good with an IR and acting as a preamp, some don't. A pre-amp is really just a drive pedal, and yeah, they don't sound good direct. And this is a follow up to other videos of mine about the Tank, so I didn't get as in depth into that whole process in this video. Speaker cabs can really change the tone of a rig, and are choices I want folks to make after grabbing the files. I hope this all helps you understand what I am doing here and the ANN capture/tweak process. It is possible to import an IR and tweak with it on.
Hi thank you for your effort. My question is: why you show amps without proper IR? It sounds bad.
@@pawekowalski510 I mostly do that to demo how close they come to the actual capture. I do not capture with an IR, so you can use your own. In most of the videos, I demo the tones with an IR. When I am not using one, it’s because I am still comparing.
Vecy cool, they just release the BlackBox product have you tried it? They have incoming "Nano" and black colored Tank G though not sure when.
I have not gotten the BlackBox yet, but it does look and sound really cool! Thanks for checking out the vid🤙🏻
Hey! Great video! Any tips on how to convert NAM files to am2? Thanks a bunch!
No direct conversion software.
@@DoubleDguitar that's a bummer... Well, thanks a lot for clearing that out!

Thank you for this. Have you been able to import the am2 files on the mobile apps?
You’re welcome. Haven’t tried with the mobile app yet, hmmm…

Thank you 3 million time.
You’re welcome just as many back!
I’m very sorry for this question but, why don’t you add a cab IR when you were demoing the ANN profiles?
Sure thing, not a worry. I did not add the IR during the ANN process so you can add whichever one you want into the IR slot. And when playing the demos of the preamps, I did have the IR on, using the Forward Audio The Fredman tube capture. It’s a great IR.

What's the difference between Tank G version 1 and version 2? How can you tell which one you have?
@@gilbertotoledo1421 hey man, you can plug into their updater software to see. Also, there is a number on the mobo when you open it and it will say V2 if it’s the new one. Hope that helps!

Very interesting ! Do you think the Tank G is better than the Tone-x One ?
Trying to decide which one has better tones.
@@Thedudemannn well, they are pretty different things. I would love to be able to just grab the Tank and go, but the switching isn’t prefect on mine. @@DoubleDguitar Very True ! They’re both very similar.

Not sure to understand… you can read ToneX txp files with that hardware?
Great video! Thank you! I own a Tank B, but how can I know if its V1 or V2?
Thanks man 🤙🏻 When you have the M-Upgrade app running, plugging in the Tank will tell you the version and which firmware you are currently on.

so, you can load this with your Tonex captures in lieu of buying the IK multimedia hardware?
I tried to import your IR but it said athe file doesnt have RIFF Flag, why is that?, need help
Hi, do you know wich eq band type? Ex. Bass is LowShelf, Middle is Bell and Treble is HighShelf? Or all are bell?
I think they are all bell style, in order to accurately add and reduce the specific frequency and the Q range selected. A shelf wouldn’t really have a Q option, more a pass point. So I am almost positive that is how they are set up. Great question! Thanks for checking the video out.

Hey man, I will try to get the link added here. Check my previous videos on the tank g, it is def there on one of them.
You also will download the M-Upgrade app, that will check your version and current firmware. Download the firmware they have listed, they remove old ones, and point the Upgrade to the file location.

I'd just have to learn a lot more and search for files to load into the presets to tweak it and make it sound good.
@@badwrong6362 I will say, it has very much improved. For practice, it’s pretty good. My only gripe is mine still has just a little ducking of volume when I switch patches. I don't capture or tweak with an IR, so people can use their own.
