Why would you? It literally costs hundreds of millions to build a new PU
MNA GP there is absolutely no chance of f1 cars having more than 6cyls anymore mate
Considering with less fuel restriction the v6 single turbo we have could produce more than 1000hp easily I'd say no. Youd lose a lot of the sound turboing the v10 and it wouldnt rev as high. Keep.it NA.

This sound never gets old....
Motor racing has always been about sound driver fights and car/bike looks. Todays F1 has none of those :(
I'm in tears just by watching this video
The V6 Engines sound nice, yeah
But they dont sound like a Formula 1 Car.
I loved the screaming V10 and the V8 was a good compromise but when you look back and realise 4cylinder 1.6litre turbo engines were announce to be introduced in 2013 im slightly thankfull we got a V6 for 8+years.
Then again rally cars dont sound too bad...
Well actually for a turbo v6 they sound not that bad
Just wonderful. I don’t know with which others words i can describe that.
Bring back these V10 engines please! 20,000 RPM😋
F1 2006 + Slick Tyres = MONSTER
Did they remove the rev limiter? It sounds a lot higher than the on and off-boards in 2006
Just a different rev limit set up
Of course they removed the 16500 rev limiter there is no reason for them to keep it when the f1 regulations for that season only allowed the team to run at 16500rpm or 16850 for qualifying so boss has different regs I guess
gee i miss this sound so so much, is it me cus its giving me the chills and the hairs on my arms are standing up, oh! and the bit @3:30 where the V10 is screaming full whack down the straight is simply awesome
damn look at the setup?? this car is bouncing like a lost shit on the ocean XD
Hear the engine crying... So magical..
back when an F1 car had an engine!
Actually, the v6t hybrid engine is way better than this one (talking about performance and reliability).
@@babaracer not if the V10 engine development had continued.
Glorious times! Enjoyed every second.
That's the sound we expect to hear today.
We don't like turbo hybrid
Performance >>>>> Sound
It's a race, not a music show.
@@Science_Atrium Ok.
It's your opinion .
For me engine sound comes first..
@@cropereira What is it? A race car or a musical instrument? LOL, I don't undersrand you...
BRING BACK THIS! I like V8s too
I remember seeing my first F1 race at Indy during the V10 era. Simply amazing sound from the cars especially the Honda's. Then the V8 came & still okay. After that I lost interest. I dont care how fast the cars are now as part of the joy of F1 was the sound the cars make. Reason why I will never watch anything like Formula E.
Eskohl it's sad how shit they sound now. My civic with a b18c will deafen the entire grid if I was to line up with them lmao. V10 era you'd hear the raw from the other side of the city. Now you don't even need ear muffs when right next to them
It's great to see Jalopnik picked your video for a story. 👍👍
This is the root mechanism. Currently only hybrid and electric motors, unfortunately the era of combustion engine is coming to an end.
@DVN What about a turboed rx7
@@killdaire7589 Same, quad rotor swaps sound less crispy with a turbo set up.
@DVN Guess you never heard the john player special 1.5 v6 turbo. That sound was orgasmic.
Gotta move with the times tho mate
@Wesley Canieli That is true. But gearheads and future gearheads would still find a way to make it still work. I wouldn't be too surprised to see somebody in the future produce a combustible fuel source for these engines that doesn't emit anything harmful once burnt/used.
Sound is amazing! They should remove engine restrictions allow use of any configuration.lower downforce to early 90s spec..bring back racing! Thanks for the upload! Just subbed
almost as good as it can be 😍 😍 😍
And now compare this enginemusic to the cra... that comes out of modern F1 cars :(
Thanks so much Bozzy, this is awesome! Can't wait to see more of these clips!

Starscream_xxx Nobody likes you.
I was at Monza past Sunday and it was awesome!!!
Who needs turbos and electric motors when we still have so much fossil fuel left over :D
cardude1992 we really don’t lol but I would like it if they found a way to make v10s or v8s as fast as a v6 turbo
lol! underwater it is then!
We don't. honestly I'm surprised authorities haven't imposed regulations on these kind of open race days.
Sadly, the glorious era of gas is coming to an end, and sooner than you think.
Ryan Davidson no argument can be made here other than your lack of knowledge on the topic. Come back when you find out we really don’t have much fossil fuels left anymore
Bandit Himself sadly that can’t be , the size of the v10s would be to big and weight so much on the car to make that torque. as beautiful and joyful as Naturally aspirated engines sound they cannot match the torque from a forced inducted engine
This is what F1 is all about. Cosworth sadly missed in F1
Didn’t they have the shittiest engine in the grid? Why are they missed?
