The Ultimate Jeep Gladiator Overland Build by Nomad Outfitters

This was a full A to Z company vehicle buildout of Jeep Gladiator. The goal was to build an overland vehicle for weekend to long haul traverse trips for our family to enjoy. This rig is our own personal vehicle and daily driver. We had a blast with the build and hope you enjoy!

First, I love your builds. Second, I'm curious why every platform you build for has some negatives yet your build or platform doesn't have any you mentioned. I'm curious of the negative to match those you mentioned from other builds. I understand every platform has pro's/con's or unknown. Defender 110 owner myself, and saw your build on the 110 (saw it in person) and you had plenty to say about the platform. Curiosity got the best of me. Again, love your builds.

Man I appreciate it. Always good to hear that people are actually watching and enjoying them. I've owned a 94 NAS 90 #304 and a 93 110 #341 so I get the itch when it comes to Land Rover. That being said, engine failures have become more common and I think it's important to know before spending a lot of money on an overland build. The idea of an overland build is based around reliability and not something you are going to trailer out and trailer back when it breaks. With our build videos, are main goal is to explain what we did and why and go into the actual vehicle and give our opinion on it based on what we've seen. The Gladiator has been a solid platform and we've only experienced small issues with 60k (ish) miles on clock. I know others have had some EGR and DEF tank issues, but I've been very impressed with the platform. Did this answer your question?

Great video. Can I ask you why the 410 for gears? I’m considering change in my gears for my diesel to 4.88 to help with overheating and holding 8th better with the AluCab on the back. Also Do you have the seat covers for the Gladiator that you sell? They do not have it on their website

We can get you a set ordered. Send us an email to [e-mail] and we can get you setup. As for the gears, 4.88 is way too high for the diesel. 4.30s are actually perfect but Nitro isn’t making them anymore. We like to stay with spicer for the Jeep gears anyways since that is what came in them originally. 4.10s feel perfect and it’s holding overdrive well. I would go 4.56 gears at the most. Hope this helps.
