  • We leave Svalbard behind us and set sail on a 1000-nautical mile passage south, through the Greenland Sea to Iceland.
Join us for our longest crossing of the trip, with life onboard the boat for seven days. Enjoying Whales, Dolphins and great sailing without another boat around for hundreds of miles.

Very nicely sailed, filmed and narrated. Well done. We probably crossed wakes as you sailed around the NE corner of Iceland (as I was heading to Norway). Sorry we didn't meet to share a cold one.

Hi Patrick, Glad you enjoyed the video. We follow your travels too, and maybe if our paths cross again we can meet up for that cold one. We're not sharing ours though, we'll buy you one all to yourself! 😉

Another stunning episode . Those were definitely Fin whales. Looked like Risso’s dolphins at 9.40.

Love it how you casually seem to pass off a 1000 mile, potentially treacherous ocean voyage like it’s just another trip to the shops😀
Also amazing to see so much life in what most of us think of as just barren open sea.
Ps . Where the hell do you get mushy peas from at that latitude?

1000 miles is a long way for a cold bath 😢 poor Sally

    Hi
I would like to inquire about the shortest trip possible from Europe to America (preferably New York), as I would like to travel to America within two months.
I never want to get on a plane.
I will go from Jordan to a European country (according to your answer) and then travel by ship to America.
How can you help me and what is the shortest and most suitable trip?
I have a fear of planes so I have to travel by ship.
    Thank you so much

      Hi there,
Sorry, but cruise ships are not something we have a lot of (any) experience with. There are regular passenger ships that sail from Southampton (UK) to the US, I'm not sure about the availability of passenger ships in the rest of Europe.
If you wanted to sail, you could always get yourself down the Canaries or Cape Verde for early November and try and get a spot on a boat looking for crew. Or, check out Crewbay.com and see if anyone needs crew.

@@SailingHiraeth Thank you for your help, and here I am still searching for the safest and shortest way, all because of my phobia of flying.
