One of the best railway films I have ever seen. This is certainly still a charming film. It had the spirit of Oliver Postgate. Well done to those who made this.
This is just beautiful. I had a tear in my eye, come the end. I loved the literary wit in the dialogue, and the charm of the characters. The spirit of Oliver Postgate is alive and well, here! Subscribed.
A most enjoyable and cheerful film, thanks for making this and for uploading it on here. Greatest respects and thoughts to Peter's family, may Peter be at peace in the light. Much love.
I've been waiting almost 10 years to see this film in its entirety. And I was certainly not disappointed. You and Peter had a unique way of capturing the best of the world, of creating with such simple things the greatest sense of charm and comfort. Thank you for sharing these cherished memories with us.
I always thought this channel was behind Juniper Junction. I’m so glad you uploaded this. I bought the dvd a few years ago. So many people can enjoy these films, now it’s uploaded. There’s a real artist quality to these films. So personal and charming. Thank you. RIP Peter. These films have and will give so many ideas, enjoyment and happiness.
If that is to be the last film from Duck End you kept the best until last ! Only thing is I want more ! I can not imagine how long it took to make but it was worth it.
I got this on DVD when it was first released, I think I have worn the disc out as I watched it so much. Loved the stop motion animation and the sets are just wonderful.
I have waited so long to finally watch this marvellous picture in its complete glory. Now, the time has finally come. It's so lovingly done, so quaint and yet so realistic, telling a story of a quieter, calmer age when things still moved slowly, and it was good that way.... things like this should be on children's television today. A great tribute to the late Mr Strange too, god rest him, absolutely wonderful. On a different note, where did the music come from? I absolutely adore it, especially the piece starting at 14:15. I'd love to have a clean version of that...
Thanks for your enquiry. It's called 'Rebirth'. We purchased the right to use it from a music and sound effect website called Pond5. We loved it too. We always felt that it perfectly captured the dreamy atmosphere of a quiet country station on a summer's day.
@@duckendpictures4085 Ah, thanks very much! Indeed, it's perfect for Juniper Junction and the Duck End line. Whenever I hear that theme, I can only think of your little films.
Absolutely love the atmosphere of this short film especially the part about the juniper light railway, may I know the name of the music used throughout?
What a charming and bittersweet evocation of a world so long-gone! Well done to all involved - and RIP Peter Strange...
Such gorgeous tinplate gauge 1 trains! Trains were more colorful back then, too. They knew how to make toys back in those days.

Not only a great railway modeler, but a master craftsman/men in the use of film language too! Brilliant!
Wholly delightful, nostalgia personified and a reminder of Thomas and Friends before b....ly Disney got their hands on it. More please

Absolutely beautiful. This is the first time that I have seen this, but it certainly won’t be the last! Thank you so much for putting it on TH-cam.
Charming little film, personally like the steam effects on the engines and all the little details like the point/signal rodding moving.

duck end was perfect - no animation (apart from the trains) no words.
How BEAUTIFUL.
Kippers and custard! This is brilliant, thank you for sharing it. And as always, my very warmest regards to Daisy and Cyril.
Absolutely enchanting thank you all.
this is amazing what type of locomotives and rolling stock are used in this
The stock used is Gauge 1 tinplate Bassett-Lowke or Bing, most of it produced before the World War 1.
This was utterly enchanting, we really enjoyed it

What gauge is the railway
I believe that’s gauge 1, possibly bigger.
All the railway stock is Gauge 1, although the animated figures were actually made in 1/6 scale.
@@duckendpictures4085 thanks
I'm assuming Porter Harris was unfortunately killed during the First World War. I get that unfortunate feeling.
Yes, sadly, we think that too.
