    We need more people like Dr. Matt Kaeberlein, who provide honest, objective opinions and feedback as a true subject matter expert and scientist. In a space where many influencers have become sellouts-taking money from supplement companies, promoting services, or selling their own products-there's often a clear conflict of interest that makes their information and reviews questionable. It's refreshing to see that Dr. Kaeberlein has not monetized his expertise, which makes his insights so much more trustworthy. Truly appreciate his integrity!

    Once again a very informative and interesting episode. I particularly like the scientific-critical approach and the seriousness of the podcast. Thank you Matt for taking the time to competently address the various topics! I am always looking forward to new episodes:-)

    The Ezra Blueprint scan includes 2x 60m MRI. Not commenting on it's value, just think you overlooked that.

    Fountain Life takes the preventative approach to a different level. Essentially concierge ongoing preventative medicine. Very expensive, but I have been curious as to the real value.

    My understanding from colleagues running whole body MRI is that not all whole body MRI are the same. The hardware and software being used and the radiologist make a very large difference in the quality of the scan

    You can schedule a CAC scan through Medmo for $250. Though when I did it, they didn't have a "partner" provider in the Seattle area, and I ended up getting billed $367...

    Prices for full body MRI seem to have increased a lot since I researched the subject 5+ years ago. Very atypical for a computer based technology. I would like to know why that happened, my guess is that the providers have been exposed to a lot of legal liability in the US and that has caused their insurance costs to sky rocket, and that one could get the same test in Mexico or India for 1/3 the cost.

    I am getting the Prenuvo (torso only) for $999 in Seattle. Attia's deep dive with Dr. Raj is very eye opening. I got a whole body MRI for ~$2000 in Bay Area a year ago. So far less than Ezra it would seem?

    One gets charged $10 for an MRI in Japan. The use of MRI in the US is a case of highly inflated price gouging.

    Looking at Johnson's price's for his Olive Oil and supplements stack. If you can afford what he's charging then you have too much money. You can virtually buy a number of his supplements for a fraction of what is charging. He does give the science a bad name as he ticks all the boxes of why the general population dislike the longevity field. A Rich Tech Bro guy that saw ship to jump on.

    • @RodeaDrive
      @RodeaDrive 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      To be honest, I priced all of the supplements in Bryan Johnson’s protocol before he offered his supplement stack on his website as I was striving to take all of those same things he’s taking. To buy all of the supplements separately it would cost (me) about 4-5 times more than what he’s selling it for. I don’t think they can be making much money on it.
      The olive oil is very much a premium olive oil so it’s priced higher but given the quality you’re getting it’s worth it.
      But I will say that the full body MRI pricing through Blueprint really surprised me. It appears to be very high. But admittedly, I have not looked into what is offered for that price.

    Thanks for an outstandingly interesting video. In the UK you can rule this out because the NHS is in a state of chaos. Visit a doctor here with the results of an MRI and he would be about as knowledgeable as if you appeared carrying your lawn mower for inspection. Concerning Bryan Johnson I get emails from him and a lot of his products are really over priced. His dark chocolate, olive oil etc are really prices the average guy could not afford. I still thinks he has good intentions but if he wants everyone to live healthier he should supply products that everyone can afford

    Whole body has very little value. No, it's not worth it. The cons are real of false positives and ambiguous findings that would case unnecessary invasive treatments and expensive in the absence of any other diagnostic or symptom reasons for doing it. see 21:30 I think he WAY underplays this con to this type of unnecessary screening.

    Where in Europe can such "longevity"-scans be done for a reasonable cost and high quality? Any hospital/company in Turkey? I researched and did a full body PET-MRI in Bialystok, Poland a while ago and was satisfied, but Turkey seemed to be much less expensive then.

    • @GabrielBrudniak
      @GabrielBrudniak 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Right now it's 1500 PLN (400 USD) whole body MRI in Poland, Cracow or Katowice with a new equipment. How much you paid for one in Bialystok?

    Too many doctors arw stuck in the past and still have the mindset " you are a hassle to us. We will work on you if something serious turns up, but don't give us extra work by actually looking for trouble in your body".
    Mri scans should be standard for everyone every 5 days from 50 onwards. If doctors are worried about false positives then they need to improve their skill at analyzing the mri data.

    • @003halmr
      @003halmr 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That is an absolute insane statement as shows a complete lack of understanding. Even yearly full body MRIs would lead to a huge number of unnecessary operations, cost and trauma. There are many degenerative changes and even growths that in medicine we do not look for because the evidence suggest that if someone knows they have the particular findings or someone receives treatment for a particular finding either of these are WORSE than not knowing.
      Also the idea of every FIVE days that someone should get a full body scan?? Sorry but this is so stupid. You know how much that would cost? Even if MRIs were free, do you know the immense amount of electricity that would waste? Also do you know how long a full body mri takes a radiologist to read? Even if the future with AI, every five days is still insane. I understand you are probably a child or someone with close to zero health literacy but please dont comment of things you know absolutely nothing about.

    • @dcc08
      @dcc08 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Is there a limitation period on that? Not sure of the value of 2x MRIs in year for example. Unless you are doing it annually. If you found something on scan 1 which turned out to be significant then likely you’d be in treatment for that condition (and undergoing testing wit your care provider) rather than using Blueprint.

    Pretty disappointing. There really should be an expert right there to analyze it with you. I think an fMRI of the brain where they can see how fast your brain responds to things, and they standardize it, could be useful. Especially as compared to yourself at later dates.
    But in my opinion, the whole thing should be $500. And if and when they can operate MRIs with superconductors that can operate at dry ice temp, or warmer, it should be $350. Ignoring inflation.
