I started carnivore on 11/20 and have gone from 253 down to 231lbs. Edema in my lower legs is gone, I no longer snore and sleep soundly all night. -My eczema is also gone, and I no longer take L-arginine and beet root to regulate my blood pressure, normally now 118/76. My inflammation in my knees and back is much better; last summer sciatica was so bad I had to use a cane for 2 months---I walked over 1 mile 2 days ago. My energy level is better than it was 20 years ago(I am 63). My plans for 2025 is to keep it up and lose 30 more pounds. I am 6'2, so 200 seems about right. Thank you for everything, listening to you has changed my life!
For the first time in recent memory, I'm not gonna have any new year's resolutions. This will be my first NYE on carnivore and it seems that changing my diet has made me achieve so many of my past goals that I'm left completely satisfied with my life and at peace with myself.
My goals are to do at least 90 days of carnivore with a changed mindset and drop 25 lbs this year! Finding these videos so informative and was able to convince my husband to join me by holding his ears hostage for a 3 hour road trip and nothing but Dr Barry on TH-cam 🤣🎉
My realistic goals for 2025…(1)Be diligent in following a PHD. (2) Be more patient with people including my family. Oh who am I kidding I’ve already broken #2 😂 Happy New Year everyone!
@ I definitely enjoyed my occasional cocktails (a few once a week or twice sometimes) but since finding out I have a fatty liver and my A1c’s are on the higher end i promised myself I need to stop drinking to heal my liver. It hasn’t been easy but if I want repair the damage I have done, I have to do it. Just try it for one week or 30 days. Your body will thank you for that!
Continue carnivore diet, lost 30lbs.. tweak my exercise program, and at 69, live each day to the fullest.. thanks for all you do… changed my life along with many others
So nice to see my keto friends!! Thanks for supporting all of us!!! I’ve shifted into carnivore to see what happens. I’ve lost 85 pounds on keto and gained so much better mental and physical health! Thanks again!
I got my A1C down from 11 to 5.5 since March 1,2024 and my Dr wasn’t impressed, he was more concerned about me taking the statins, go figure. I am looking for a new dr. and I know I will find one but for now I’m impressed with myself and that’s all that’s important and that my numbers are coming together and I feel amazing…

I'm lucky. I started carnivore back in March 2024 so I will continue it on Jan. 1st 2025. I've lost 50 pounds but I still have 15 to lose. Feeling a million times better these days! Happy New Year to the Berry's and the Keto/Carnivore community!
1. To make carnivore a lifestyle again after about a year off. I followed a carnivore diet prior to conceiving my son to prepare for carrying him, but fell into a really bad funk this year that it felt like I just couldn't shake. I believe the Lord has brought me back to it through my husband asked me to help him try it. 2. Rediscover joy and passion in my life. I just started a TH-cam channel to document that journey. That's all. Healthy, happy, and thriving. My word for the year is joy.
I make the same resolution every year: I don't make any. lol. I gave up doing that many years ago. If I make any changes in my life I just do it when I need to, regardless of a date on the calendar. As a matter of fact, I started carnivore the day after Christmas because I was ready and motivated at the time to make some changes in my health.
Thank you, Both for your Monday show.. I am 6.5 months carnivore . I am so grateful and feel So much better. I currently have pneumonia and staying the course. Any tips on supporting myself and my very deep cough ?
Realistic Goals: 1) I am determined to rehab both of my knee replacements with consistent and progressive consistency. 2) I will continue to eat a carnivore diet as clean as possible in order to heal my body and get rid of visceral fat if possible. 3) I will continue to be curious, listen and travel to learn more about our world and appreciate other cultures.
My goal for this year is to have a normal a1c and reverse my iron deficiency anemia. 3 months of carnivore have already given me amazing improvement. A bonus goal is to go hiking with my kids at least once a month when the weather warms up. For someone who used to sleep 16+ hrs a day and miss out on family outings, I am really looking forward to having my life back.
Happy New Year! 🎉 Have to respectfully disagree - I think it IS miraculous that you can achieve great health at any age no matter what you’re coming from by just eating a proper human diet! I’ve already lost over 150 lbs and this year I’d like to hit goal 130 lbs. from now unbelievable 175 lbs which was miraculously down from 330 lbs. My A1C is already down so I’ll add keeping it there. Make more money in 2025 than I ever have and by helping people.
Going to carry on with the PHD, started January at 336 pounds currently 221, would like to lose another 50 pounds in 2025. My second resolution is to carry on with the daily long walks and working out with weights 2 to 3 times a week. Thank you Dr Ken and Neisha and happy new year ❤
I have been KETO since 2018- now meat based with occasional Avocado and cheese or walnuts. I am 69 and still working full time as an RN. I believe that my good health is secondary to proper food intake.
Thanks guys for sharing your experience and guidance.👌 I'm INSULIN FREE after 33.5 uears of taking shots.💪💪💪 2025 looks to be a Healthy year ahead.👍 HAPPY NEW YEAR to you Both & the Family.🎉
Our goal is similar I was planning mine just the other day. I plan to eat on the PHD spectrum daily. I don't want to be boxed into strict carnivore cause if I will get that all or nothing mentality and fail. That's my N=1
Happy Holidays!! Youve saved my issues All of them!! It's a few months after hearing the word BIOAVAILABILITY Wow My resolution is winter cardio consistency and limiting tictok 😅
Hi Dr Berry and Ms Neisha Starting carnivore Jan 6. My husband has type 2 diabetes. He is 81 yo. Please remind us of any necessary supplements. We are so excited. Thank you
At 71, Ive never had a New Year's resolution. Mainly because I don't wait til New Year's Day, to do what I know I should be doing every day, becaue I like to feel great and be active. Ive eaten healthy ever since Í was a kid, I just prefer it. Im 90% meat, fruit and veggies, 5% questionably food, and 5% total junk (this Im trying to get under control ;) Luckily, its easy fóre.
One year on carnivore as of last November 2023. Got off during holidays and son in hospital and doing sardines now, to help me get back losing, because my weight stalled. Losing muscle mass... and hurt my shoulder hard to exercise.
Oh I got a kidney infection and a very strong antibiotic hurt my body. Lost my spleen a few years back from autoimmune disease ITP. Still struggling to stay on carnivore, but if I go off I try to at least do keto.
I have brought my glucose down from over 400’’s to less than 140’s which will lower my A1c avg also. So I don’t worry about the 11% anymore because it is the maintenance of a lower glucose average and the lessening of symptoms that tell the effect on my body.
"Your previous type 1 diabetes with your A1C at 6.6 is 10 to 20 times more dangerous than having high LDL cholesterol" THIS. Freaking THANK YOU!! I'm not T1 diabetic, but about 5 months ago Dx with prediabetes, so working on T2, but my doc ALSO freaked out about high LDL! Has been pushing statins on me for over a year. I knew that my previous temporary diet (noodles, instant potatoes - eating until I was full) caused the high LDL, so I said no to the statins. Then the follow-up test a year later was lower, but still high, but it also showed a high A1C. She glossed over the A1C and STILL pushed statins! I was a bit angered by this, because a high LDL in NO way indicates definite artery blockage/heart attack/stroke, but high A1C DEFINITELY indicates too much glucose which DEFINITELY leads to insulin resistance in the cells and without getting it under control, DEFINITELY leads to wounds that won't heal, limb loss, diabetic coma and/or death if untreated. It pissed me off because glossing over it like that, she made it sound unimportant, meaning most patients won't pay attention to their sugar intake after that and just either get on statins or REDUCE meat/salt intake; which does NOTHING for insulin resistance. They'll start taking a statin and think all is right with the world, but continue carb/sugar intake at the same levels they were before the "dreaded" LDL reading. It takes 3 months to raise an A1C/3 months to lower it with proper diet/exercise. It took me 3-4 months of eating that crap non-stop to raise my LDL, and took me a whole year of COMPLETELY removing those things from my diet to lower LDL just a LITTLE. The fact that you can turn A1C around in 3 months vs taking an entire year to lower LDL; should tell literally EVERYONE that high glucose & insulin resistance are the more IMMEDIATE threat to life/quality of life. Thank you doc, for educating everyone and validating my anger about this issue!
To serve on the board of your new ADS and to support and contribute to the Low Carb/carnivore movement in any way l can. Oh, and to climb back on the lowcarb wagon under the supervision of Dr. Westman. Also to make the pilgramage to City Barbecue in Durham for their beef briskett and collards.
Trying to repair my body. Three stents in LAD, solitary kidney, and osteoporosis 🙄. 70yrs old, doing keto, lost 10 lbs 128lbs and feeling pretty darned good. I listen to you daily and work toward better health. The osteoporosis diagnosis has me frustrated and worried.
What a mixed bag of controversy osteoporosis presents. You may want to add weight lifting to your treatment protocol. Continue on a PHD plan of B,B,B, Eggs. It wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion after 2-3 months. Good luck.
I am trying to work toward do Dr Seyfrieds protocol. I have been on the carnivore diet for about four months now. My glucose has been running around 105 to 110 .I have a meter but I still can’t figure out when I’m in ketosis
You can get a blood meter to check for ketones, anything over .5 is typically considered ketosis. By working towards Dr.Seyfrieds protocol is the main goal being in ketosis? If so you may want to do a keto diet that includes some plant food if you can, it’s easier to get the fat to protein ratio higher which will help you get into a deeper state of ketosis if that is your goal.
@@joeberrouard3743I’m starting the keto diet next week. As I’m pretty much housebound with various chronic illnesses I have found a food delivery service that does Keto. Is there any links or names you all can recommend for keto advice as a beginner? 😊
My realistic goals for 2025: 1. More outside walking 2. Develop a weight lifting program 3. Stick to my carnivore diet 100% until my goal weight, which is losing 21 more pounds. ( I have lost 70 already).
Sticking to ketovore, getting ready everyday (makeup/hair) most days (not everyday, who am i kidding) lol but showing up for myself everyday 😂 we'll start there, and dedicating 3 days of lifting weights as i already am good with cardio because i love it ... Just always avoid lifting weights lol
hi folks, how is your health doing, this is a test line to see if the comments section works here, as it does not, after the live webinar ends seems to work here, which is fantastic
Good for you! Drs have one thing in mind and it’s not your health typically. These days you have to be your own doctor. Congrats on the glucose drop! There are some really good videos about statins also. Don’t let the dr bully you about it. When I learned that ten years on statins gains you maybe four days on your life that told me it is all about money in their pockets.
Dang I missed the live!!! You both look great. I have a question for anyone with the knowledge/thoughts about it. I keep seeing people talking about too much protein can raise your insulin and the insulin spikes is the reason why you're gaining weight or not losing weight on Carnivore. Is this a thing?? I personally feel like if you do carnivore correctly you should be satisfied long enough to fast and when you do eat it's more like a feast so your insulin should only Spike maybe slightly during that meal time. The argument I found myself in was the body only absorbs a certain amount of protein at a time so the rest gets converted into sugar I just want to know if that's true? (If he made a video about this already and you know the link please let me know I'd love to understand more)
I started the carnivore diet a month ago. I eat lamb, eggs, bacon and avocado to help me 💩 Since starting the carnivore lifestyle I’ve gained 5 kg, feel dizzy and my legs and feet are swollen. Prior to the carnivore diet i was on the pescatarian diet and was doing ok but still not losing weight. I generally eat once maybe twice a day. I have my meal at 2pm… if i get hungry earlier I will have eggs around 11am no earlier. Shat am i doing wrong ? Could it be the bacon ?
4 months into Carnivore and I have recently been experiencing back spasms and charlie horse cramps in my calves through the night. Using Keto Chow mineral supplements but they are persisting. Any advice?
1. Get my financial life in order 2. Eat meat only for 99% of meals 3. Get my home in order (with the new found energy I hopefully will have) I'm so tired of being tired, y'all! For now; I can manage the spinal pain with aleve/ibuprofen/excedrin, but the fatigue is BRUTAL! It affects my motivation to meal prep, clean, complete projects and even think!! I was never obese (maybe in 2001 after my youngest daughter was born, but I got a short-term highly physical job and dropped most of it, then gained some of it back after the job term ended), not really since I'm tall (5'7"), but as long as I was my typical 177lbs, I wasn't concerned about my health. I just had my uterus/cervix/tubes removed, from starting my period and not stopping for like 4 months. During that fiasco, I started losing a little weight due to severe anemia, only like 7lbs or so, but the fatigue (from MS and anemia) got so much worse that I wasn't really able to work out or prepare meals. I've managed to make it down to like 157 over the last couple of months and noticed, after the holidays, that I was slowly inching back up. I haven't made it back to the 160lb mark yet, but I'm starting to get nervous, since I'm still viewing my health status by my weight, but noticing immediate changes in a pound or 2 by how good/bad I've been. I'm watching my weight, obviously, but the fatigue is what I'm trying to cure. I've noticed since trying to "mostly" eat meat, I have more good days than bad days fatigue-wise, which IS an improvement over the opposite. It's just on those bad days, I have a hard time balancing myself on "the wagon". That one bad day a week that I just grab whatever I was able to prepare on the good days, and whatever I could when nothing was prepared; is really ruining the progress I've made the rest of the week.
Just got the course! Was diagnosed with prediabetes. My Dr thinks my high sugar is due to the beta blockers I have to take for an arrhythmia. I tried the keto diet but I had an extreme drop in blood sugar. Down to 47. Is that normal when starting keto and fasting?
I, F 58, (5'8" 140 lbs) had a seizure for the first time in my life 2 weeks ago. Scary! I'm on no medication. All my tests were normal after (glucose, BP, electrolytes, CT, EKG, EEG). I've been ketovore since April. The discharge instructions suggested a keto diet, but the 2 days I was at the hospital my husband had to bring me food because the meals were all carbs, sugar, fake fats, fake cream, weird gravies. One nurse gave me 3 "emergency" turkey sandwiches so I could just eat the turkey. They never asked me if I had dietary issues. So, Ironic to discharge me with a recommendation to eat a ketogenic diet.
30:54 I get sick every few weeks right along with the rest of my non carnivore family😢. I do have little ones, but I’ve been strict carnivore for a whole year. What’s the key?
@@jessie9653thanks for the suggestions. I do wonder though what carnivore is doing for many in terms of immune system that it’s not doing for me, maybe they’re taking vitamin d, but it’s not necessarily something they mention- simply that it happened from carnivore.
@jennellecocco7211 I wonder the same thing. I've been dealing with GERD/reflux really bad 😞 anytime I ask on videos all I'm getting is it will go away and put bricks under your bed to prop up. Absolutely nothing is helping and I'm not cheating, I eat no dairy no coffee. Now I'm taking Gaviscon hoping that helps.. it's almost as if people are blaming me for doing something wrong and just do carnivore harder 😞. I hope I'm not doing my myself harm 😭
Need help and guidelines to reverse my insulin resistance with a helpful diet. I currently do keto. Current A1c 7.3. I walk 3. Miles a day. Please please help me
Anyone know the discount code for the video walk through of the guidebook? Mentioned in this live it was now $2.50 but the website still shows $9.99...thanks!
Do you have enough land that you can build a sleep over outpatient tx carnivore clinic? I feel like I’d have better success if I could go somewhere for a month to start carnivore.
Carnivorel is a rip off. When i went I knocked off all the wooden pins with 3 baseballs and they only gave me a crummy stuffed teddy bear, the smallest size. They charged me $12.00 for a medium size snow cone, which is really crushed ice. Then the line for the ferris wheel was 48 minutes long. True i dont know much about diets but the carnivorl had a bearded fat lady but very suspicious. Happy New Year everyone!
Get cgm, do carnivore. If your blood glucose goes low without metformin, then you might not need metformin or may be needed in lower dose. I would do comprehensive blood tests, get cgm and then slowly transition to carnivore.
Is diet coke with aspartame keto or even carnivore? I have noticed that on those days when I drink 2 diet cokes(aspertame) in a day, I get gout like symptoms. So...I know I am addicted to sugar and diet coke(aspartame).
Go slow and steady, lift weights, don't go all Arnold, lol, fasting, eat lots of food with collagen, exfoliate. Be kind to yourself and embrace the skin. It's a reminder that you are getting healthy ❤️🩹🤟🙏✌️💪
I am 78 ,female and lift weights and plan to get back to paddle boarding this spring

Pickle juice is high in salt also.
Is this ADS materializing at all ?
A pilgrimage to a food place ? 😅
lol, too much salt. You are a genius. Taste buds are our new Medical Advisors.
Cosleep on a mattress on the floor. Much safer, more space and you never have to worry about anyone falling off the bed
Good luck.
@ what is PHD plan of BBB, eggs?
@karlottahawkins6348 That's what Dr. Berry calls the Proper Human Diet. It consists mostly of Beef, Butter, Bacon, and Eggs. You got this !
My realistic goals for 2025:
1. More outside walking
2. Develop a weight lifting program
3. Stick to my carnivore diet 100% until my goal weight, which is losing 21 more pounds. ( I have lost 70 already).
I ate a load of crap on Christmas day boxing day went back to keto immediately
@@marylynch951 😆 your honest comment made me laugh. Blessings!
HOWDY HOWDY HOWDY .HAPPY NEW YEAR MEAT LOVETS❤❤❤
Sticking to ketovore, getting ready everyday (makeup/hair) most days (not everyday, who am i kidding) lol but showing up for myself everyday 😂 we'll start there, and dedicating 3 days of lifting weights as i already am good with cardio because i love it ... Just always avoid lifting weights lol
hi folks, how is your health doing, this is a test line to see if the comments section works here, as it does not, after the live webinar ends
seems to work here, which is fantastic
My grandmother is 72 years old, a woman, and plans to run a 10km distance again this spring.
❤
(If he made a video about this already and you know the link please let me know I'd love to understand more)
My lyphocyte reading was 4.8 help
I started the carnivore diet a month ago. I eat lamb, eggs, bacon and avocado to help me 💩
Since starting the carnivore lifestyle I’ve gained 5 kg, feel dizzy and my legs and feet are swollen.
Sounds like you might be under eating
4 months into Carnivore and I have recently been experiencing back spasms and charlie horse cramps in my calves through the night.
Using Keto Chow mineral supplements but they are persisting.
Any advice?
Add Himalayan or Celtic salt to your diet.
I'd try more salt and magnesium.
A swig of pickle juice right from the jar of dill pickles ends my Charlie horse cramps within minutes. It likely will help spasms too.
Dr Chaffee usually says it's because you need to drink more water

My resolutions…
1. Maintain my 45 pound weight loss.
2. Walk 5 days per week.
3. Spend less money (no frivolous purchases)
I need to restart the carnivore way. I'm having trouble doing it. I'm the only one in the home who wants to do it. I need inspiration. Help
Why is cream different than butter? Butter is just churned cream?
Maybe because of what's removed from the cream in the process?
No lactose in butter. There is in cream.
1. Get my financial life in order
2. Eat meat only for 99% of meals
3. Get my home in order (with the new found energy I hopefully will have)
I'm so tired of being tired, y'all!
Ibuprofen has caused bleeding. I am 4 months post op ileostomy, due to rupturd small bowel.
If I don't eat red meat, I have no energy.
I wish this country would ban certain foods that are really nasty for us and support good eating
30:54 I get sick every few weeks right along with the rest of my non carnivore family😢. I do have little ones, but I’ve been strict carnivore for a whole year. What’s the key?
Do you take vitamin D3 it's very helpful. Another supplement that helps in not getting sicknesses is olive leaf extract

Can I still lose weight on the carnivore diet but taking metformin for type 2
Get cgm, do carnivore. If your blood glucose goes low without metformin, then you might not need metformin or may be needed in lower dose. I would do comprehensive blood tests, get cgm and then slowly transition to carnivore.
Do you consume bone broth?
Cancer drugs makes me sick and bread or something similar helps settle my stomach . What else can i do thats keto?
Bread isn't Keto, unfortunately.
