    Okay. It's definitely only four (4) egg whites, not eight. Wish it had been accurate. But, maybe this comment will help someone else not waste time and ingredients.

      It’s 8 whites, 4 is not enough.

    I've tried many keto breads but they all seem too much like a slice of cake or too eggy and they all forced me to keep a glass of liquid close by so I don't choke on every bite. It seems all Keto breads have this ugly way of getting stuck going down because it absorbs all the moisture like a sponge. So I tried this recipe and it made a mess of the kitchen but 80 minutes later it came out of the oven looking like hardy bread. I cut off a piece and it looked exactly like your video, took a bite and wow. It almost does have a sourdough taste and the texture is the same. I pour me a saucer of olive oil and some seasonings and dipped. Awesome meal. I think I need a bigger bowl and I need to make 2 or 3 loaves if I'm going to mess the kitchen up. The total carbs is a bit higher, I figured 220 for the entire loaf BUT there are no sugar alcohols to hide behind the net carbs and that's where the net carbs nosedives. So I figured 45 carbs for the almond flour, another 45 for the flaxseed meal, and an apparently high 128 carbs for the psyllium husk. But the husk is all fiber, so the net carbs is zero. Between the almond flour and the flaxseed meal, the 90 carbs amount to just 24 net carbs. That means the entire loaf is just 24 net carbs and contains a ton of fiber. I computed a day's worth of fiber per 2 slices. The reason is the husk at 3/4 cup is 32 servings on the package and each serving is 4 gr of fiber. 128 gr of fiber for the whole loaf. Probably 13 gr of fiber per slice if I can get 10 slices out of the loaf.

      @Patrick Dezenzio - I tried Zuzka's recipe and it produced an eggy, salty horror show. One taste of this dreck, and I knew the best place for it was in the dustbin! She clearly doesn't know the correct measurements for the ingredients in this recipe. Horrible keto bread!

      @@wiseonwords Same here. Mine did rise a little bit (not much) and taste wasn't bad, but texture wise it was the same as the many other recipes that come out where it was too moist and not that of bread. My only theory is egg whites were the culprit. I did thicken them up pretty good, but when I combined them with the bread, it looked like twice the amount of egg mixture that she had. I am wondering if it should have been like 4 egg whites, not 8.

    I made this yesterday and it's probably the best keto bread I've had. I mostly have quick and easy keto mug bread ("horns up") at breakfast but needed a change. This one took some making but will get easier. It was well worth the effort. It magically tastes like normal sour dough bread. The vinegar seems to emulate the sourness really well. A great find. I wonder if it freezes well. Any thoughts?

It’s because Indians have been eating high keto diets for centuries and make sure flavour is there…sorry but this is proved when UK people love their Indian so much they make it into their national dish and many other foods have come into the country from different nationalities but don’t take off as much. Gonna try this today. I assume 1.5tbsp of salt should actually be 1.5tsp. Going to do 4 egg whites as well given the comment below and video shows 4

    Hi Zuzka, would it be ok if I add coconut flour to the recipe?. Will it affect the taste of the bread?

    • @ann-marie1669
      @ann-marie1669 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So my input is if you use coconut you will need to add a lot more water because coconut really sucks up moisture I made a cake with coconut flour and it took a dozen eggs

    • @esalenchik
      @esalenchik 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try 1:3 ratio of coconut flour. So if the recipe says 1 cup of almond flour, try 1/3 of a cup of coconut flour, leaving the liquid measurements the same as the recipe.

    Hi Zuzka
    It's a very very tasty bread, just what I'm need to keep on track with the LCHF/KETO schedule. Thanks!
    I have a small problem though... I cant get the bread to rise as Yours does, do You have any tips on what I might do wrong?

    • @raniawebber2007
      @raniawebber2007 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The raising agents really are the whipped egg whites and the baking powder, right? So if you're whipping the eggs like she has, perhaps add a bit more baking powder?

    • @esalenchik
      @esalenchik 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@raniawebber2007 Make sure your baking powder is fresh. It only lasts about 6 months.
