Great video coach this is a freedom type offense with a few rules. Offense plays are overrated because in the end its all about players making play and spacing. I'm a fan of 5 out and 4 out basketball with a few quick hitters. I see tons of coaches spend way to much time on offense plays and lose because lack of transition and defense work.
Great video Jay's my favorite as well. We disrupt this offense ....we dont turn away from the ball. The motion to occupy defenders doesn't work ....we dont care about the weak side. We take away middle its help and trap help and trap. If you make a long or cross court pass its picked or closedout on.
Another Excellent video coach ! I think a really good idea would be to just do a breakdown of the best concepts your highschool team runs,i am very curious about it !
Hey coach I have a question regarding your video on how to build your playbook. You said that you run flow actions when you don't run plays. Like, when in flow, you call elbow or double fist and the players run it? And what it they get stagnant?
So this offense incorporates very little screening away from the ball right? Mainly emphasizes spacing for dribble penetration, ball screens, and post ups?
hey coach, do you know any other cbb teams that run 4 out 1 in or 5 out offense, im a new transfer student at my school's team and they run a lot of these concepts/offense and training camp starts in a few weeks and i wanna get ahead of the curve learning the offense?
Hi, My brother and I are going to be Coaching a AAU team of 9 - 11 boys this year and we are trying to figure out a way to make the Villanova offense affective in terms of, teaching them in a drill that they would enjoy and most importantly execute it with accurate movements. Any ideas of how to execute this? We were thinking, if they do not do it right the shot does not count which making it a competition drill. What are your thoughts? Look forward to your response. Thanks, Chad
Great stuff coach, curious with your comment at the beginning about Villanova being the most translatable offense for your team. Do you think NBA Offensive schemes can be used well at lower levels of basketball? I’m a D2 Assistant Coach
Now that Brunson is with the Knicks, Thibs should use this scheme. Put Obi & Randle as the front court for the spacing. The Knicks had too moments after the set didn’t work, they would resort to iso ball. If Thibs doesn’t make the right adjustments, I could see Jay Wright coaching the Knicks next year.
Hey I love your channel. I want to start a channel doing film breakdowns and I was wondering how you get access to ncaa and nba footage without copyright strikes? Thanks!
I love motion offense everyone has the ball and can make an assist i dont like one guy has the ball all day what kind of offense did the bad boy pistons use

I recommend you to also breakdown teams that run princeton series. That would be interesting. Great as always!
It's on my list, just need more time in the days! Lol Thanks!
Love Villanova they are the best at playing off 2-feet Jay Wright one of the best in the country at developing players. Great Breakdown Gibson!

Thank you!! Likely won't be able to get to that for awhile.
Coach Rupp of Kentucky was running the 5 out an 4 out 1 in concepts 70 years ago
