    Grateful! I have run a Memphis with 7th graders and up, as long as the 3 is a threat and your players keep moving it is exciting to watch and fun to play offense. It is nice to hear Mr. Walberg share his genius, and that we coaches love those sleepless nights with pencil & pad nearby. Thank you sir for an informative hour. Go Fresno City!

    Shooting percentage and Points Per Possession are completely diff stats. You can have a shooting percentage of X but if you rebound every ball you can have a PPP of 2, hypothetically. But I get his point.

    • @huckfin1598
      @huckfin1598 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      tyler lee No, you are absolutely wrong. An offensive rebound does not count as a new possession. You'd need a change of possession to have a new possession. If you shoot 10 shots but get 10 rebounds your shooting percentage is 0 out of 10 so 0% but 1 possession.

      What is Possession?
      A statistic in basketball defined as the time a team gains offensive possession of the ball until it scores, loses the ball, or commits a violation or foul. A possession in basketball is an important statistic because it allows teams to compute statistics on a per possession basis. The statistic can be applied to an individual player or the entire team.

      We use this on zone defense. Very effective on our part. We shot a lot of open 3s on this kind of offense. We take advantage also by taking more FTs specially during the crucial minutes of the game. But we have a different version of this DDM we improvise it.

      At least the Drive & Kick (attract 2 defender and then pass out to the open teammate) and Skip Pass (to shift the defense from one side to the other) Concept is an effectiv way against any zone defense

    Chot reyes until now doing this baskteball system and unfortunately these kind of offense has not effective to Philippine basketball team/ Gilas Pilipinas

    • @darylparagoso4731
      @darylparagoso4731 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It should work well for Gilas being undersized and lots of fast ball handlers. It might just be the coach isn’t good or the players aren’t good, but this system is actually perfect for a team like Philippines. Running a system is more than just X’ sand o’s the personnel needs to be able to make the right decisions and adjust. The few games I’ve seen Gilas play this year it looks like it was just a “pass to JC and watch” strategy. 😂
