- During the recent CV-19 lock-down it became obvious to me that i needed to become more self sufficient in all matters of survival and most importantly my airguns needed an unlimited air supply. So after much studying and research i decided on the Daystate Type 2 compressor ... i did struggle to find a good informative video so to help others and to answer any questions on the subject here is a "how to" video while filling my dive bottle from around 200bar to just over 300bar ... any questions please fire away, thumbs up or down appreciated and please feel free to subscribe.

Hi mick I did 13 years as a diver and most filling stations filled the cylinders in a tub of cold water to keep the cylinder cool when filling , the air contracts when it cools and the pressure drops ,probably more important when diving but the principle is the same
yeah all the dive shops i've seen have that set up ... and i think you're right regarding the importance for diving but it would result in a short fill for us airgunners and i have experienced that ... not any more though :)

Hello mick just wondering how you are getting on with your compressor I’ve just got one reason I ask is that someone on TH-cam had two units that went wrong very quickly your thoughts and impressions now you have had it a while would be much appreciated
So what your saying MICK you weighed it all up chose the top end kit (2k-2.4K) but then got an ex demo and heavily discounted (dare I say it FREE?) coltri/daystate compressor .....brilliant lol
Hi Sae and thanks for the comment ... and that’s exactly what I did ... pros and cons for each compressor were taken into account and I had the green light from the chief to get what I thought best and that was without doubt the Daystate... funds were in place for a full price purchase and that was what I had got planned even contacted a few stockists including Drapers (email available to eliminate any possibility of doubt) but a chance conversation with a friend put me in contact with Tony at Daystate and the ex demo was PURCHASED ... yes at a discounted price but not at a price that probably wouldn’t have been offered to any other purchaser (invoice available for viewing to again eliminate any possibility of doubt) rest assured I would have paid the full price for the right kit as I do with all my gear and the type 2 is the right kit for the job I have for it.

tbh mick you do reviews so I would expect you to have privileges it’s only fare but even so it’s still annoys us less privileged people 👍
@@Sae-fu5ch sounds to me like you're casting doubt upon my honesty and integrity ... i don't take kindly to that one bit ... so if you want to see the invoice i suggest you get over to me and i'll show you then i will expect a full and public apology ... i have and always will offer to pay my way in my shooting ... anything that is sent foc is for short or long term review and can go back at any time ... there are many out there that will ask for and take the freebies but i for one are not one of them ... I can assure you of that ... so lets get this on and get it sorted and then you can put your apology up.

@@Sae-fu5ch doesn't sound that way ... if you want to see the invoice you can no drama and as far as getting defensive when someone cast doubt on my honesty and integrity then i will defend myself to the hilt ... not only are you doubting my word but also the word of the Daystate team ... seems like you may have a problem ...happy to discuss it if you need help ... the kettle is on for a drink whenever you want to show up

Hi Phil ... Coltri is an Italian manufacturer that supplies air compressors to many luxury yachts eyc but is branded as Daystate hence the Union Jack
