    Good review as allways, i have the 220v original coltri version but higer capacity 100 l/m , it fill the same tank from 0 in 25 min and 9 min from 3000 psi.
    I bought the compresor afther trying 3 chinese one and two piston water cooled compressors, they worked for a short time, so i got tired and bought the coltri, thats what we have in my country or bauer way more expensive and im happy whit it.

    after watching this video and having experience with Italian compressor pumps, i purchased the Daystate compressor from Air Guns of Arizona instead of the other brands built in Asia. It seems to be a solid unit, but i haven't been able to get the compressor to go past 250 BAR without tripping a breaker. I thought that it may be the old 15 amp breakers at my house, so i tried it at two of my friends homes with dedicated 15 breakers and it is doing the same thing. It looks like i am going to have to pay to have it sent back to AOA for them to diagnose the issue.

    I still use my old shoe box. It does the job, will top off my tank in about 20 minutes. Good to let people know about the air source. I can always go to the local fire dept get a free fill, empty tank full in five minutes.

    Nice review, Steve. I have one of these and it's a great compressor. One thing I would warn owners is to not run this or any compressor on a long extension cord like in this video. Any contractor will tell you that the amp draw significantly increases with the length of the power cord. Plug your compressor directly into an outlet and do not use an extension cord.

      Thank you. I feel ya, but I like to review all the big compressors with a commercial gauge 25' extension cord... I think of it as good practice as many will do the same. If it works for me, it should work for them. Best, Steve

    "OCD runs deep in this one." LOL! Great video Steve! You would think for ~$2.3K they would find a better way to fill and drain oil. And seriously, something this expensive that leaks anything is ridiculous. Also a little surprised there is no after run fan operation; just shuts off at the highest heat load following a tank fill? So, you're walking away from a superheated chunk of iron that had to have fans running while it's in operation... Doesn't really make a lot of sense.

      AIR Nashville Interestingly, it doesn't get hot, just warm. I'm able to hold my fingers to the pistons and body after a 4500 psi fill. Best, Steve

      Thanks for the clarification Steve. One of the negatives of the YH style pumps many of us have is that while they are water-cooled cyl, the exposed air tubing gets very hot.

    Great video Steve .
    But,the shut off off operation ,should be done differently,I think .
    When you get the tank filled,close the tank's yoke valve first ,then ,open the moisture filter drain,and let the comptessor run for 2/3 minutes "without load",to depressurize all the compessor stages .
    These simple step were pointed to me by a very respected thecnician/rebuilder .
    It will extend the life span of the unit .
    Just my 2 cents .
    Thanks for the videos .

    Did you ever get a inline filter to dry the air? In dry climates might not be needed but in humid areas like Michigan in the summer or Florida etc its probably squeezing some moisture into the tank. Ends up as water in the bottom of the tank that builds up over time.

    Steve HELP! I have this compressor and a Omega 74cf bottle. When the tank shows filled on the gauge. I bleed the line showing the air to be out of the fill line but there is no air in the tank. I believe I’m not doing a proper shut down procedure. I put a dead head on the tank line and no reading as to what’s in the tank. Please advise me as to the proper shut down and I realize air in the tank for filling my PCP guns.

You also recommend Nuvair 751, will using Nuvair 751 void your guarantee? Or is the same grade as Coltri, I m about to order some Nuvair 751 and just want to make sure.

    • @AEAC
      @AEAC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hard to say since it's been a long time since this review but it was most definitely a 4 piston, 4 stage compressor... I had a lot of dialog with the manufacture about this at the time on how they were sending me the new 4 piston, 4 stage. I myself had to call them and ask them where the 4th piston was so they could help me find it, lol. Perhaps they've gone back since or the website info is off.

    Would you recommend this compressor over the omega turbocharger?

    • @AEAC
      @AEAC  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Craig Wilkins I like them both for different reasons. I like the idea that Coltri makes this one and that it's a bit faster filling. I like the Omega cuz it's quieter and auto purges at set increments. Steve

    • @oxman1971
      @oxman1971 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Airgun Exploration & Advancement Channel thanks for the quick reply. It they were sitting side by side and you had to choose one... For me, I don't think noise level or filling time (as long as fill times are not DRASTICALLY different) are a huge factor. I'm more concerned with quality/durability and ease of use. I like the idea of the auto purge on the Omega, but the Coltri looks more robust. Either way, I need to make a decision pretty quick, since my Impact was delivered today.

    • @AEAC
      @AEAC  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Craig Wilkins I feel like the Daystate would be better long term but I actually don't have anything to back this up other than being excited that it's made by Coltri. The Omega is quieter, easier to maintain, and more automated. Can't go wrong with either really. Just depends on what ya want. Steve
