    Bought the Hill ec 3000 evo last week with the pro pac after weeks of reserch ..fills my Hw 100 and AGT Vulcan 3 in no time ..cracking compressor and the sales team are absolutely brilliant and really helpful...well done Hills great to see the UK doing it properly .

    I have the one before this evo and all i can say is wow what a bit of kit. I have had other compressors in the past and nothing has come close to how well this is made and performs. Ok it is more expensive than a lot of them but that is for a very good reason. There better made and last longer without any issues and do the job that they were built to do and does it clean and efficiently so in my eyes well worth the money. Had mine over a year now and no issues what so ever. So thank you Hills for such an awesome bit of kit. Best of British.👍👍Great review and thank you for all the great content you provide us with each week. Keep up the awesome work.👍👍

    I too have seen first hand how the Hill EC-3000 compressor is made, everything is made/built in house or from local companies, the evo is next level. The team are very proud of what they produce, I for one can confirm that there is NOTHING on this compressor is from China.

    I bought the version just before the Evo I believe and fitted the Dry Pack Pro ...which does slow fill-time a little and also extends pressurising times. But worth it I feel for cleaner air. Mine doesn't have that blow off valve or the manometer but has the 310 bar higher limit etc. Hill have been EXCELLENT in providing me with any information on queries I had....temp. cut-offs changing with bar pressure etc. and just confirmed with their expertise that this is a brilliant piece of kit. I worried when I bought it that I was spending as much as a nice pcp on it, but it has proved it's worth over and over!! Great British Company!!! Well done all at Hill. 🙂

    Another great and honest review. I’ve already got and love the simplicity of my current compressor but I wouldn’t rule out the EVO if or when I need a replacement. Impersonally think it’s reasonably priced considering the build and quality control that each unit goes through. Keep up the good work Andy, your unbiased reviews not doubt have saved a lot of us shooters from buying substandard kit.

    As well as the EC3000 I have bought a Gamo gx40 and BSA r12 after watching your reviews. Word of caution! Bought the Gamo from Vector air, had one or two minor issues but the customer service was above and beyond. Sent me what I needed to do the repairs myself, can't recommend them highly enough. Unfortunately, my R12 had to be bought from elsewhere because of availability issues. RANGE AND COUNTRY. I had a seal fail and replaced it, easy job but still had a small leak which I have since fixed. I reached out to RANGE AND COUNTRY and their attitude was TOUGH LUCK. The warranty was invalidated and they refused point blank to give me even the most basic help. I know that Vector Air wouldn't have treated me so poorly. Lesson Learned, you put your reputation on the line by associating yourself with Vector Air and they don't let you or their customers down.

    I, too, have the Umarex ReadyAir and have been very happy with its ability in the shed or on the road. But, recently it started releasing pressure before hitting the mark and as a result I purchased the Hill Evo. To my surprise and delight it is MUCH quieter than the ReadyAir! Unfortunately I didn't get the extra dry air filter and will be remedying that situation shortly.

    $1900 for a bit of kit of that quality is a bargain..... My air rifle is a springer (no licencing for those here in NZ)... although I do have the necessary licences for a PCP or a handgun for that matter. PCPs are pricey, but I can see one in my future if I live that long, not that I would need such a compressor as that one probably... but then again if I spent $2500 on a PCP rifle, it's not such a huge amount.

I like the compressor but it is a bit annoying having to spin the dial every time to set pressure. It would be nice if there were a few buttons that you program on the interface. Perhaps 2-3 buttons that you could set at different pressures. My Steyr Evo10e set to 200 bar, the red wolf at 250 bar etc .

    Really nice unit but unfortunately it is British made. Too expensive after you pay Brexit fees. Probably one of the best if you are from the UK.

      I have noticed more and more UK made shooting items have vanished from the dealers'shelves here. They can't really complete any longer with post Brexit prices compared to, for example, Germany or CZ. It's a pity

    • @UnCoolDad
      @UnCoolDad ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are no "Brexit fees". Products made in the U.K. do not attract duties when imported into the EU. They are also sold vat free - you just pay the local vat in your country. Same goes for products manufactured in the EU and imported into the U.K.

      @@UnCoolDad Last time I imported gun parts from the UK I got a 6% import fee, a terminal fee for "forgin market" at €8 and upon this our national VAT. The UK VAT was however first deducted.

    • @UnCoolDad
      @UnCoolDad ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Airpang100 where was the part manufactured? If not the U.K., then import duties are due. The seller has to go through the process of declaring where the item was manufactured though. It is possible this does not happen for small mail order companies - but for wholesale imports or larger sellers who are keen to sell abroad, it most certainly does. If you are interested in a Hills product in the EU, you are probably better served by a local distributor.

      @@UnCoolDad The EC-3000 compressor actually have a Swedish importer, but I'm not sure if anyone is sold, it's priced at €1495 here in comparison to a 12 liter dives bottle w/fillkit @ €395 brand new. Such bottles have 10 years hydro here and a fill will set anyone back €10.

    It cost £10 a year to test a tank, and it gets tested every 5 years,
    £10 a year or destroy your house , you and your family.
    It's a no brainer.
    ALWAYS ALWAYS USE A TESTED DIVE BOTTLE.

      Hi, Like I said in the program, it isn’t for everyone, however, your maths don’t actually add up fully, you missed out the initial cost of your tank (circa £300?) the cost of fuel to and from the shop, possible parking fees, the time involved and the reason I bought one in the first place….convenience (priceless to me). But I understand your point, just as we don’t all need a high end PCP’s when a £50 springer will fire a pellet down range, But I’ll stick to my Engineered PCP’s…thanks again for your comment, stay safe. A 3 minute drive to the dive shop in the local swimming pool…. My 300 Bar tank is filled from 180 to 300 bar for only €2,50. Clean air and professionally handled for this money is something I can not justify any purchase of a compressor for.

    If this is so good then why don't professionals use them? Because for starters, apart from speed, they cannot remove all the moisture necessary to fill dive cylinder without causing corrosion. My local professional qualified person said the minimum cost of a professional compressor in the UK is just over £4k. Their present professional dry air filters cost hundreds each. He also stated that the idea of filling up to 300 bar with such a machine actually horrified him. I will continue to have professionals do the serious/dangerous work of filling a dive cylinder. Cost is far less.

  • @Airpang100

    British made! Fair enough, but it's no advantage since Brexit. All UK made products are now subject to national VAT, customs fees, outside of EU taxation etc. All this makes the UK products less competitive, hence BSA airguns have left our market and Air Arms sell in single digit numbers every year. The other way around, prices for pellets have gone through the roof in the UK of late. Unfortunately I see a dark future for UK airgunning and shooting sports in general, without the EU membership. Hopefully Scotland and Northern Ireland will break free and join the union in the future instead.

    • @UnCoolDad
      @UnCoolDad ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolute tripe. Products made in the U.K. are not subject to import duties in the EU and are exported and sold vat free. You will pay your local vat in the importing eu country.
