    thank you dr. Ekberg. Due to your great content, valuable info and excellent structure I managed to easily lose over 20 lbs, feeling great, enjoying life and improving my energy levels. I have struggled for the last 4 years and no matter what I did , I wasn't able to drop more than 2-4 lbs.I am very grateful and appreciative of your channel. Hopefully more people will understand how terrible it is to suffer from insulin resistance.

    I love Sten's presentations more recently on nutrition, and have never seen this earlier work until now. He is not a published stress expert, which I am, the free online e-book PDF, "Stress R Us", ironically published in 2018, when he was making these well done videos. It is a far more complex issue than his presentation here and I recommend "Stress R Us" for the granular, life saving details. Our overactive stress response, due to the stressor filled physical/emotional/mental world we have created, causes initial overproduction of cortisol and anxiety, only to eventually exhaust our capacity to generate a stress response (the cause of clinical depression), and leave us in a depleted state of "adrenal fatigue" or outright "failure". A photo of adrenal gland slices showing this progression is on the cover of "Stress R Us".

      I agree excellent topic. I saw you expressed how the body will end up with glucose below 80 at times. What if a type 2 diabetic is on Keto strictly below 20 carbs per day for months, no medications, but continues to have dawn effect of 175 or so in the morning and then much lower by evening before dinner, maybe 115 or so but back up the next morning?

    Hi dr sten. I am amazed by your information. I love sports and health whole my life. I could never imagine that i was so wrong if it comes to foods and nutritions. To be honest i am in a so called burnout and my cortisol is a bit messed up. I want to do intermitting fasting and keto combination. But i feel so terrible. I have a very hard time to get out of bed. And if i do i feel kind a lose from earth. A bit wobbly. Tough this doest start directly this happen a couple of hours later. The weird thing is i am getting emotional as wel and getting in panic a bit. I think it has to do with IR because to be honest i have eating a lot of sugars at christmass and overal. What can i do to reduce bad feeling of no energy? Or to restore this compleet bad feeling? I would be so thank full if you have any suggestion. Because docters wil proberply say i need to eat carbs and sport while that is actually building insuline resistance. Again i a fan of your and like to get my health back.

      Dr. I like to do intermittent fasting. But when I do, I’m sure my cortisol shoots up. I get a little anxious, as soon as I eat a little healthy carb, usually whole fruit, the anxiety dies down. This might be a good topic as I doubt this happens only to me. Thank you.

    Thank you for sharing your amazing work! I love using Essential oils to try and relieve stress to be able to stop smoking, however, all the documentation available is rather confusing and lacks scientific evidence. By any chance, have you got some reliable knowledge about the effects of EO on the brain/body, which ones are good, and which other ones are damaging, and also what one should know about EO? This would help 😄

    I had the gastric bypass and 2 years after got diagnosed with adrenal fatigue and put on hydrocortisone. It's been another 2 years on that and still extremely exhausted and my body hurt all over it.

    people i weight loss and getting helthy. I have been following yr channel and have a positive result on my
    daily diet. You have also a great explanation on some influential hormons on our body such as Insulin and
    Cortisol.
    As i am diagnosed for Pituitary Tumer, my question is can you explain on a hormone called Prolactin, which if
    excess can couse Pituitary Adenima, Tumer ?
    What is Prolactin ? What is it responsible for ?
    What makes excess production of Prolactin ?
    Can you olso touch litt on a tablet called Dostinex, which is related curing to this tumer ?

    Is there a way to not have low blood sugar and then the excess cortisol, during a fast? I follow the Keto way of eating and intermittent fasting. I did a longer fast that lasted 4 hours short of 5 days, and experienced a lot of cortisol, especially about the third night.

      I need to know what to do about LOW blood pressure! I'm 18 and mine is lower, i'm always slight dizzy and tired. Could this be lack of exercise? I barely do anything all day but sit arounr 🙈🙈

      You need to see a nutrition response doctor. It sounds like your adrenals which makes a catch 22. You need the exercise but you need to be delicate about it and work it up gradually with the right support for adrenals... if that is indeed the case.

    is keto something everyone should do even if you don't deal with overweight, inflammation or insulin resistance? i understand the reason behind cutting back on carbs (greedy food industry lies) but some of the keto dieters make it sound like it's the only natural way of eating. now i don't want to denigrate it or anybody but it reminds me of veganism back when it started popping up so i am a but skeptic about it.

      If you watch some more of my videos, I think you'll see my position. Keto is turning into a religion because it addresses IR, which is what most people suffer from. If you are not insulin resistant I think you can up your carbs a bit and also cycle the amounts. Just pay attention to how your body responds to different foods and of course eat real food.     Dr.Egber. Why eliminating all crabs. The complex carbs a whole grain products, natural rice and vegetables are vital for the health. I agree we need to eliminate white sugar and products with processed sugar + white flour, but definitely not complex carbs with lots of fiber.. These do not increase insuline level as "roller coaster"..

    I started the keto a week ago. Before I started it I would have low blood sugar symptoms if I went too long without eating. I started making sure I ate carbs bad or good throughout the day so I wouldn't feel these symptoms. Simce starting keto I've become less hungry and am able to fast and feel fine until I eat and now I'm having reactive hypoglycemic symptoms. I cheated one night with brown rice and felt severe reactive symptoms while on the keto diet. I started feeling it after eating berries so I eliminated fruit completely. I'm still feeling it after eating and not sure if it's the carbs in vegetables? What do I do to correct this issue? It seems like keto made it worse but I know a diet of sugar and carbs is horrible too.
    In 2016 I was in the ER with severe dehydration after drinking so much coffee and no water and was put on iv.
    Since then my kidneys are sensitive and hurt if I drink coffee, tea or dark soda.
    Can that have had an issue on adrenal glands and messing my body up? It seems like around that period the blood sugar issue started

      Its something I came to terms and made my peace with last year. I'm a male with Bipolar 1 that had a late in life diagnosis (35+) so the cortisol faucet has been running unchecked for a long time, and the arterial damage has been done. It's the 2nd leading cause of death after suicide in my subset. If I make it to 65 it's a blessing. But it put alot of things into perspective and reframed what is truly important so I gladly give it up to live with a clarity of purpose most never achieve
