    This is a channel for people who suffer from dissociation (depersonalization and derelization - DPDR). If you have depersonalization or derealization there is a way to get out of it and get your life back. DPDR is a form of anxiety that makes you feel like you're looking at yourself from the outside (depersonalization) or you experience life 'like looking through a fishbowl' (derealization), or both (DPDR). Essentially you feel disconnected from yourself and everything around you, for hours or even weeks and months at a time.
    It can be extremely scary and exhausting and often it feels like there is no way out which causes a lot of anxiety. However, there is a way out and it's absolutely possible to live a normal and connected life, permanently.
    If you'd like to know more about your depersonalization and derelization and how to overcome it, please book a free discovery call with me. Together we'll go into why you dissociate, the path to recovery, how to finally overcome it and how to stop it coming back.

    I feel happy and like I'm acting like my normal self but struggling to feel nostalgia or other familiar feelings that I used to

      That's common and it'll come back as you begin to recover. Sometimes it just takes time. You're doing great though! Keep going!

      @@DanielBakerDPDRexpert my dpdr aint the same as people who usually recover. i myself recovered once from this but i aint had emotional numbness. i could enjoy everything on life and just somehow forgot about my symptoms. i dont have any exit point in this situation. but im looking forward to your video

      I hope the new vid helps. There is no 'different' DPDR - what might have happened is that you didn't fully recover in the first place because when fully recovered all the symptoms go and if you actively worked to recover it won't come back.

    I am a couple months into my recovery and for the past two weeks I have been going to the gym. When I am working out I instantly get that DPDR attack intensify when I enter the gym and after each set I get a sort of head rush. I think its getting better the more I do it? Majority of my symptom's have gone away but maybe I am still not desensitized to all my normal bodily functions still.

      Im doing pretty good so far I am about 8 months or so into recovery. I think my problem was I had chronic OCD for many years which eventually lead to a panic attack and then followed DPDR. Nowadays I am just going about my usual day and I still have a bit of avoidance behaviors (ie not wanting to go into crowded areas or doing something when I am tired) but I try to do them anyways. My biggest piece of advice is to just build up strength through doing things when the DPDR is strong and over time you will have more power than the DPDR will. I don't listen to these kinds of videos anymore. Maybe like once a week just because it's a habit. But when you understand what's going on try to limit the videos and go out there and build the strength yourself. @@panterwakanda4ever

    I’m scared if i will stuck without emotions because i can feel bad emotions but no good emotions. I think emotional numbness is from dissociation because i was numb before using SSRI and when i hear that medication can make us more numb i’m so worried . Pls help me i don’t know who to believe ?

    • @DanielBakerDPDRexpert
      @DanielBakerDPDRexpert  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Medications can make you more numb to your emotions - that's the point of some of them. When you experience more bad feelings than good ones it's because you've been living in a negative lens for so long, your brain likes to keep doing what it's been doing. Continue to do the things you enjoy and let whatever emotion be there. You'll get there!
