My Great Grandmother received his cornea at WIlls Eye Hospital. She was in so much pain before the surgery and had 8 great years with Pelles cornea before she passed. Thank you
I was at college when my dad called me and told me the news. I cried all day. He was a great guy and I remember him before I moved from the Philly area in 1984.
We miss you Pelle you are my favorite goalie although I am 13 I love the 80s and you I model myself that way we miss you Pelle I hope you are Winning Stanley cups on gods team 31 gone but not forgotten
The first reports were that he broke his leg ... Remember waking up and hearing the news ... Was playing street hockey with my brother and his friends when the story unfolded. Such an amazing person, guiding a young team. Heartbreaking seeing the team together on the ice. RIP #31

Pelle Lindbergh was a better goalie than Ron Hextall, who was also a fantastic goalie, he was the kind of goalie who not only makes the saves but also makes the team play better just by being in net. I'd bet a lot of money on them winning in 86-87 with Lindbergh, I'd like to think the team would've done better in 85-86 too. What is sure is that had he lived, he would've liked been an all-time great, he was that talented.

I just found out, Pelle’s sister died a couple years after Pelle! His parents has to bury two of their three children!
