The trolls were all over you before the grass came up. Now it's beautiful and they have disappeared. It the same with your house. They will climb back under a rock when it's finished. Don't let them steal your joy, just keep having fun, learning and building.
Ducks in the pool, kids in the lake-destiny.
Thanks for sharing your family's build.
I remember back in the day, when we would drill for the rebar, We had the epoxy capsules that you would drop in the hole, and they would break when ya drove the rebar down in the hole and when it set, they wasn't coming out !! lolol... And that T- Wall system is pretty slick, with the metal bands that grab the rebar and screw into the cross pieces !! Pretty cool.... Learn something new all the time. Thanks for sharing all that Geoff !! Have a Great Day Man !! Gonna go get my "Honey Do' list done for the day out in the yard !!! lololol... You know the deal, got to keep Mama happy !! lolol.. Have a good one Man !!
Cool ending
Living the dream. Love the ducks
The ducks have it made. Swimming and fishing and watching you do all the work. And the work is coming along nicely!
Ahhhhhh,,, for a good block laying crew!!
I like the tee tie in system. Simple yet strong. I believe this series will increase interest in concrete homes and pools.
This will be the most sophisticated and longest under construction house in North America upon completion!!!
The moral of the story is, Mrs. Bealygood must be the most patient woman this side of The Pond!!!
She’s only patient if I get the pool ready 🤣
It's not going to take that long, once his crew is out of the hole and can work above ground away from the mud, they can start to make up for lost time. The weather is helping too, And with the good working conditions, he should be dried in soon as long as the weather holds. Great build Keep up the good work Geoff.
Nah, Biltmore in Asheville took 3 or 4 years! This wont take that long.
Duck Mafia have control - all others can have the big pond. Wild animals looking healthy and plentiful. ICF build is so interesting - those T Walls are common sense but only after the fact. All looking good Bealy Good.
This ICF has really caught my attention . I just can't process how styrofoam and plastic webbing can support all this weight without having blowouts . Can' wait for the pour !
Great update on the build and nide to see the wild critters again too. Safe travels. Ken.
Please don't get upset but I gotta say that you stating things got a little more complicated is the most epic understatement ever uttered in the history of mankind building things!
It's about time you put the mafia back on.
Duck paradise, ❤😊.
I like that T corner setup. I haven't seen that in other systems they are always using wood. Thanks fir another video sir.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks Geoff.
Oh Geoff, this was a good 'un. Especially seeing the deer. I just love how you've created such a sanctuary for all the wildlife and it's obvious the construction doesn't bother them a lot. Glad the willow is making it as well. The update on the house & pool is exciting to see. The scope of your home is incredible as well. Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us all.
This particular build is definitely going to be a huge task, very interesting to watch especially from the beginning, so many challenges as well, right in our face, ❤😊.
thats gunna be a huge house . you are a lucky man Geoff.
Hilti is the leader in epoxy embedment!
It's definitely gonna be a unique project. Like a large three D puzzle.
Like I said before, this is the most exciting YT channel right now. I am really curious how foam boards are going to hold back concrete but thats why we watch! The vids are well timed and keeping us in the loop!
Thanks 😊
From lessons hard learned over a lot of hammer-drilling. Just hold the drill, very little down pressure, with a good bit it will go faster and do more holes, it is supposed to bounce a little.
Bealy thanks for this educational video. I hope the weather will co-operate so that you can get the pool finished. You're going to have a beautiful place when you're finished. The ducks are out to get you and the goose is the godfather. Beautiful footage of the deer. God Bless to You All and work safe.
I always enjoy spending time at Bealy Good Farms....beautiful place Geoff, thanks for giving us a peek into your little piece of heaven.
17:40 that's gorgeous!
That was my favorite shot too
Used Nudura ICF to do a 2500 sq ft addition from basement to trusses back in 2010. Hired the basement portion done and stacked & pumped main level ourselves. Still don't regret it to this day! Love how quiet it is inside and energy efficiency. Just wish I had a youtube channel to be able to get reduced cost in materials back then!
Duck Mafia update! Nice
Thanks lot of great info.
I'm enjoying this unique build.
Thanks for sharing the wildlife footage!
T-wall connections are da bomb!!!
great information.
Looking good soon to be epic. And an epic end tune
Amazing
Enjoyed it
Geoff looks great! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Thanks for watching
Good Post!
Thanks!
Nice video Mr Bealy Good.
Great video!! Nice place you are building!!
Thank you 🤗
Nice to have the factory rep helping with construction and instructions. Hope the rain holds off so you could complete the pool. Everything looking good.
Will you have enough cover and vegetation for the deer and wild turkeys to remain after all your building? I hope so. Love the music. Have a great week.
Yes. All the clearing is done. Tomorrow’s video will update on the pool. Thanks 😊
Good morning, and You alone on the Building Place. The Ducks to wait of the Pool. Slow come the Work Team. And You to learn the to tie the Elemente. The wild Animals come to the Foodplace. Interesting Video Tanks
Great update, can't wait until you start pouring concrete.
You and me both!
Thank you for the demonstration on the T-wall connections. His level of detail in explaining it was very good.
🙋Quick Question: was it intentional such that you planned to drill the holes and epoxy the rebar, after the pour had dried, due to some reason (maybe flexibility on placement) or was it a logistical oops?
Flexibility.
Quack quack. 😊
Much like with the pond, I love seeing the building process but at the same time I can't wait to see the finished product. Then again I'm sure you feel the same, especially since you're the one footing the bill
You and me both!
Would you look at that golf course grass there. Looks amazing
Hey Mr. Bealy Good, thanks for the video and the music; have you had many comments about your paid music? Most creators only use generic, very few will pay, thanks again, it does make a positive difference..
Thank you. Most seem to like it. There are ofc the occasional people that don’t. I use Musicbed. To me, It’s worth it to pay.
Deer population really growing
nice progress, 👏👏👏👌👌👌👍👍👍
Geoff I see you got some back strap steaks in the making at the end along with a rard pimp for thanksgiving coming up great video
❤
❤❤❤
Little easier to visualize every day as you progress along.
I missed the Duck Mafia but I understand you've been busy with other things.
Good demo of the t wall, even I could understand it! How many t junctions do you have and how many courses will each wall have?
4 T’s. 7 courses.
Duck duck goose! lol,
Hay Geoff do yourself a favor and toss that hammer drill in the trash. Get a Hilti and Hilti bits. You will find drilling so much easier. And use Hilti RE 500 epoxy. It will work just fine even if there is a small amount of water in the hole. It does take 24 hours to cure unlike HY 200 but water won’t bother it . And no I don’t work for Hilti. But I have been using their products for years and years.
Hey Mr. Bealy I see you used my definition of the bracing on the ICF build and called them strong backs.
Occasionally I listen 😁
11:50 something that occurred to me watching Pure Living for Life do their house, how do you get the footer clear of all that foam debris? I suppose on one hand the foam particles would float on the concrete, but I'm not clear the flowing concrete isn't just going to go over top of it?
Ultimately, you don’t worry about a little bit of particles. But we will go around with the leaf blowers before pour day.
Geoff I dont understand how this wall system works! Does the styrofoam stay after the pour or does it stay as insulation?
It stays. I believe it’s Thursday video that I show the forms a bit more.
Question: Why ICF for the sub grade pool construction?
Surely the ground itself gives thermal stability & standard shuttered concrete with an insulated backer would be as efficient & faster.
ICF has been around for a few years and they are still finding out how well it works. Far better than what was assumed given the concrete core and the styrofoam on each side. It is a marvelous building system.
Think of this as more of a do-it-yourself system. I could have maybe built plywood forms and figured out a way to tie up the rebar and poured. This is one aspect that I will actually share the cost of when it is completed.
You made a good decision Geoff. No disrespect meant at all, but site built forms are a whole different monster, needing a lot of commercial carpentry skills & equipment.
Your learning a lot & doing good, Keep it up!
You haven't been "making me tired" lately.... 🤣🤣

@@BealyGood
How big of a hole were you drilling for the rebar?
3/4
Aww loved the ending!! Thanks for sharing with us!!.. Now I think I'm ready to build a house and pool. Lolol NOT.. VERY COOL. DEFINITELY DIFFERENT THEN WATCHING MY DAD BUILD OUR HOME WHEN WE WRER KIDS .. 60 YEARS AGO LOL❤❤❤❤❤❤
What attaches the house foundation form to the footing ?. What are you using for corner bars with the fiberglass rebar?. It doesn't look like that form will hold up to using a concrete vibrator. When epoxying bars in you should use a wire bottle brush in each hole and then use blower with nozzle that reaches bottom of hole. Epoxy won't stick to a dirty surface.
Seems to be stuck pretty good. The bar that you’re talking about is what ties the foundation to the wall. Millions of square feet of ICF has been done and vibrated 🤔
@@BealyGood yes I am aware what vertical dowels are. I am just stating what inspectors require and I have seen dirty holes fail to bond. I have been a union carpenter for 34 years so I do have a clue what's going on 👍
@@BealyGood my comments are not an attack, I am simply trying to understand how this system works. If that's not the purpose of your videos just let me know and I won't ask more questions.
@@half-breed my response wasn’t meant to be an attack either. I appreciate questions. Often tone is difficult to convey via text on a screen. My apologies.
@@BealyGood no problem, i agree it can come across that way through text.
@ Sino.... Don't be fooled! Mrs Bealy Good is not the most patient but the most persuasive slave driver and lead partner in this loving and wholesome partnership! 😁
Quick question, my curiosity only, this video came out today, Tuesday March 12th. This episode of the Epic Pool/ little house build was recorded on what day? FYI, heavy sarcasm on the little house if anyone was not sure 😂😂 We know the pool just took over the show, lol😅
🤔 this was Tuesday of last week. 😁
I can understand the language barrier between you and Mr Goose. After all, he's a Canadian goose, therefore, anything you say must end with "Eh?"
Ah!! That’s where I messed up. Thanks
@@BealyGoodI'm from the government, and I'm here to help.
I really hope this form of construction works but it just seems so flimsby. I am sure in the same time you would have been well out of the ground with basic block construction. Interesting to see how the concrete pour works out, that's a lot of weight for those walls. Always willing to learn so keep up the good work with the video's
One thing to keep in mind is that once concrete is poured, you have completed the task of 3 trades - concrete walls, insulation and framing.
You should look around at other ICF builds from beginning to end. The antithesis of flimsy. Jesse Mueller has his build on his page, to include an ICF/concrete roof. It’s a 2-story, with basement.
This is probably the best building system out there right now.
I need something to work with here, I need more bone-headedness.
Don’t worry. I’m sure plenty is on the way.
Mrs Bealy Good, please tell me the name of the song "I;m gonna fly..."
The name of the song is fly by I believe the dirty guvnahs
Where is Letspig18? Has he taken another vacation?
He’s off crushing concrete
What's the estimation for having the pool and house finished
2-3 years
@@BealyGood . . . but that is completely finished with trims and paint etc right? The ICF won't take all that long to put up compared with usual building processes, and then it won't have to be insulated, there will be no air infiltration and drywall can be attached directly to the inside of the blocks. 🙂
Won't those metal rebar supports stick out after the concrete is poured?
Sheetrock goes over that easily. They are only as thick as a nail plate
@@BealyGood O I thought that was the pool water side.
@@thisoldminer Which point in the video are you referring to? Make sure we’re talking about the same thing.
@@BealyGood 13:53
@@thisoldminerThat’s actually the house. The strap that had to be slightly off the wall is on the dirt side.
I wonder if throwing those random short ends of rebar into a pour would do more harm than good.
I’ve wondered the same.
I would be tempted to use the off cuts in all the wall joints
15:44 is that an interior wall? Won't that strap mess with your finished surface?
They aren’t very thick. Sheetrock will cover it easily
@@BealyGood Were they're flat against the wall, true, but at 15:44 they are away from the wall and then bent to the wall.
@@jcadult101 Those are on the exterior. However, if they were on the interior, I would cut the strap after the concrete cured. Good catch and question. Thanks
If you had BEERS in that cooler, you would have free help all day!!! Every day!! Get some Jeff!!
I feel like traditional concrete forms and that pool section could have been done in a short time with no worry of walls shifting constantly
You're right. But then you deal with all the problems of no insulation.
@@christopherwedemeyer2993Insulation can be applied afterwards its done all the time.
Ofc it could have been. Not by me or any other do it yourself-er though and not for the price I will have in it when it’s done.
@@BealyGoodI am not questioning your choice or anything. Just observing after a lot of frustration with the integrity of the soil and a lot of need to excavate more and more to support the ICF I believe traditional forms would have been safer and faster. Of course that would require hiring a crew t do the job. But I am glad t see it working out for you and I hope you get some concrete in them forms soon so you have the worry of a collapse behind you.
If you have the chance to visit an ICF home you would change your mind quickly - they tend to be very quiet, safe if hunters are prowling the woods, warm in winter and cool in summer.
Looks like a lot of waste lumber. After pouring the footers and installing keyways in them, than you just use the steel foundation walls, can be set up in one or two days pour on the third and remove forms on fourth day. Start framing the following week.
I can’t. Neither can you. Now a team of people , sure. After they do all that and start framing the foundation isn’t insulated nor ready for Sheetrock, but this one will be. If I wanted to not film it and pay double then I could bring in a crew that would have the basement done in a week , insulated and ready for Sheetrock. The regular poured basements and framed main floors that some of you are mentioning will never come even close to the energy efficiency of this system.
Drone view kind of looks like a bomb went off.
Did you play with Legos a lot when you were a child?
My fair share 🤣
The goose can't understand "Hillbilly" cause he is from Canada and only speaks French. Hope the rain stays away from you for awhile.
This series isn't selling me on ICF. It's been 6 months since you broke ground and you haven't even poured walls yet. You should be framed up and dried in by now. As far as that pool goes. If it was gunite or shotcrete. It would have been dug, tied, stub plumbed and shot all in a week.
Firstly, I broke ground because Chris was here with the machines. The delays to start weren’t due to the ICF system.
Your comment about gunite was the biggest load of bs I think I’ve read in the comments section in awhile 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I’ve had a gunite pool and several of my clients have had them and I’ve seen them being built. They do not happen in a week.
@@BealyGood You are right about that! Anyone watching the Pool Kings shows knows they take months.
The Bealy Money Pit is looking great $$$$$$ :) lol Geoff
