    Geoff... you, ( and Let's Dig ) have made some great videos on the development of your property....And i have watched (and enjoyed) all of them since your property was nothing more than trees and old cars....But this one is difficult for me to watch....All that concrete mess must be setting off my O.C.D....🤣🤣

    After reading some comments below;
    Maybe they naysayers should tie up their work boots, get up on your 2x8 walk planks hanging off the walls, grab hold of the elephant trunk & give it a whirl!! Obviously they have never worked on a construction site before yet alone poured a ICF.
    The operator & all your help did the best he could.
    There's a lot of concrete in the tube that gravity is taking control of b/4 it stops.
    My only comment is everyone should have safety equipment on including hardhats, gloves & glasses. That crap splatters bad!
    Keep it up Geoff your doing good & learning alot!!!!

      Thanks 👍 it really isn’t that bad. Could’ve gone better, of course. But where it’s piled up on top of the forms and windows and stuff, once it’s vibrated that all went down in the hole. We had to actually come back and add more.

    If I may make a suggestion, when the guys are pouring the window sills (as I refer to them, bottom of window opening) where you have a lot of structure interfering with the drop tube, have a man on the other side hold about 16”x16” square cut off off something so the concrete splatter will bounce off it back into the form, like a backer board or shield, might save you some concrete and clean up later. Just a thought sir. You guys are doing a great job, looks good, thanks for the update, enjoyed watching.

    At the end of the day if everyone went home safely, that the concrete is structurally sound then all is OK. It's sad to see the hundreds of hours of blood sweat and tears come down to this. I hope Mr. B has the opportunity to sit down with a cold beer and tell all us that everything is going to be OK, but I ended this video asking, WTF did I just see?

    Wow, Geoff, you brought back a whole bunch of memories for me. Before a year ago, I had never heard of ICF, but my dad had driven a concrete mixer when I was young. And even more than the pool pours, this took me back to watching him and the crew pouring. I was sweating with y'all watching the very, very hard and back-breaking work you were doing. Kudos to everyone there. People were paying attention, doing what needed to be done, and gettin' 'er done. Thanks for sharing this and I look forward to part 2.

    When the vlog starts out with Gatorade Zero and Food you know this is going to be good. Loved the camera shot on the boom. Fast paced and no turning back.

      Not even close. Maybe a yard. Everywhere y’all see it all piled up. It goes down when it gets vibrated. Lol. The stuff on the ground, the only spillage and nowhere near that.

    Well, these concrete pumpers, clean work looks different. There are some running around who are more interested in 'posing'.
    But ... there is another development to be seen.
    (The beekeeper with the remote control for the pump crane looks funny, did he want to be a fireman?)

    Geoff are you not going to be stacking ICF forms on the lower basement wall for the level 100? I noticed you did not tape off the top of the ICF form so the interlock would not be filling up with concrete. The form look good, and a fortune in concrete, looks like the time I worked on the grain elevator construction project when we pour the base pad that was 5 feet thick and was 95 feet wide and 140 feet long. it took 12 hour to pour and 10 hours to finish. 8 week later we poured the wall over 6 days non stop to the height of 140 feet tall.

    • @BealyGood
      @BealyGood  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s taped. Thought I talked about it in the video. The next level transitions to 6 inch block so only tape the outside.

    Use a shield to guide the concrete or get a longer hose….wasting a lot of concrete

    • @BealyGood
      @BealyGood  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They were supposed to bring a smaller snake and Bennett. Might look like a ton of concrete, but maybe one yard total for the whole house pour. That’s how much we have to waste priming the pump.

    The waterstop is installed completely wrong it has to go between the existing concrete and the new concrete continuous ie walls and beams and not over the reo You will have leaks against the edges that have no waterstop when the concrete shrinks

    • @BealyGood
      @BealyGood  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      New concrete went over the water stop. I’m aware of the wall missing it. I’ll talk about that in a future video.

    I would like to ask respectfully, Please explain the square pads that you are pouring inside. Does this help reduce cracking when you pour the floor later? Thank you.
