​@@Livvvid Yeah me too, I think to algorthm sent me your way because i have been watching a lot of acolyte videos.
But this video really resonated with me, because all I want is a better starwars from Disney that is more focused on the story that makes sense and has meaning. More of what Lucas would have made.
Anyway your video reminds me of a youtube series i saw a long time ago with the first video titled "WHAT IF "STAR WARS: EPISODE I" WAS GOOD?"

The Thrawn trilogy would be too complicated for mass cinema audiences. It's a great trilogy as literature; anyone who adapted it to screen would have to omit a lot of what made the HtoE trilogy so good. Plus, I don't think there are any rescue mission plot arcs in HtoE, which is what the OT is built around.

I actually agree with you. My point was just to illustrate that Zahn actually considered the setting and what would make sense.
My suggestion at the end of using the trilogy was just saying that even using the thrawn trilogy would have been better than what we got even if you had to do some gymanstics to adjust from 5 years to 40.
Ironically I even defended Disney way back when in the AMC movie talk comments when Disney said they wouldn't be using the thrawn trilogy.

Second comment …TLJ, takes place 2-3 days after TFA…the rebels just blew up their mega Death Star …and instead of hundreds or thousands of systems rallying around them , they look like beat down dogs , it’s never mentioned , Finn is a , “famous hero of the resistance “ from 2days ago? HTTE should have been the movies 🤷‍♂️

I plan on re-watching TLJ trailer (not suffering through the movie again) and talking about that a bit as I think that's where the divide truly starts
