I'm not going to claim that her lyrics or her message are deep but she's smarter than people give her credit for. I think she's self-aware enough to know that she's not actually fat, but how many people can claim to be satisfied with the way they look all the time. I go to the gym every day and lift weights but I'm never satisfied with the way I look, and that's just me judging myself. What if half the world was judging you?

I was 12 and weighed 180 pounds. Not even 5 foot 6. My parents were druggies who were very abusive and because of that I ate my feelings and puffed like a balloon. This while still being very active as a kid. Playing soccer, hiking, I love outdoor activities. But since I was so depressed I consumed way too much food. Eventually I joined my schools cross country team and in the next year, I lost 40 pounds. I joined my boxing gym in town as I entered highschool, joined the wrestling team, and still continued with soccer. Exercise and hard work not only gave me a healthier body, but a healthier mind. So anyone out there trying to lose weight as a kid: you've got this. Do this for yourself. Dont give a fuck what people try to label you as, you are doing this for you and only you fuck what others want you to be or try to say your reasoning is.

I've gone through some really bad body perception where I thought I'd be happy if I got my body fat to 6-7% I did that and was like man my arms are so small so I went up to 12% and tried to get "big" and I spiraled into these loops of getting bigger arms and cutting cause my abs would start to be less defined and it almost seems like it's endless progression. The last year or so I've become a lot better with how I view myself and trying to reduce how critical I am about my body, but hey at the end of the day I'm healthy and shouldn't complain so much. Just offering an alternative perspective from someone who got into the gym when I was very young.
i'm gonna get into fitness and body dysmorphia is something i'm definitely going to avoid. i'm just gonna workout and be happy with any progress (as long as it's healthy ofc). and while there is always room for improvement i'm not gonna stress over the little things

EVERYONE says the "I'm going to work out and get my dream body" only later to find themselves in an endless cycle of wanting more and more and more, being never happy with the results and often times dabbling into the "juice". You'll find out if you have body dysmorphia when and if you'll get to your final goal on your journey. Saying you wont get body dysmorphia wont do anything, mental disorders come without you knowing. If you really, truly only care about your health, and couldn't give two shits about the way your body looks, then I'd say that the chances for developing body dysmorphia are probably zero.
I've been 190 pounds for a about 3 years. I'm 20 now and making better choices. I HATE my weight and myself for letting myself get to this point. I do not understand how these people can glorify obesity when being obese can kill you.

One of my friends used to be skinny and then she got a problem with her hips that prevented her from moving a lot so now because she can’t move or sport a lot she gained a lot of weight, but she doesn’t eat a lot. I’m chubby but I’m still healthy, I don’t really snack and I move/sport a lot but I’m just unable to lose weight. My friend and my situation are different then theirs, they want to be fat, we don’t want to be fat and we try not to be fat, I’m seriously suspecting my friend of an eating disorder because she isn’t eating a lot. 1:49 is so great to hear. I grew up the biggest child in my family and I was bullied because not only was super fat, I had eczema, dark skin and didn't dress in fashion. I also love how my parents gave me constant reminders that they couldn't find clothes my size(my siblings constantly got clothes and shoes but NOT ME) and that I need to lose weight. When I was in 5th grade, I was already 198 pounds. Because of this, I now don't even leave my house, pretty sure I gained an eating disorder which doesn't help, I talk to myself because there is no one else, I also believe a have a personality disorder, autism and ADHD or OCD. I have constant headaches and because I have no money, I can't afford a therapist so that's why I am here ranting. It's honestly very frustrating. Oops. Sorry. Didn't mean to get carried away. my brother grew up chubbier than most, maybe not *obese*, but it was hard for him to move around a lot because of his weight. Now, he works out, and although he hasn't reached his goal yet, I can see the progress, cause he has muscles now, and can lift heavier weights than i can ;v; hell, i think he could probably even run longer than I can with his legs

I'm skinny and have a eating disorder. I unfortunately was in a mentally abusive relationship where I could only afford food for myself and my dog, but my boyfriend didn't have a income so I chose to feed him and my dog over myself. the relationship ended soon after I was hospitalized for being mal nourished (at this point I was content with the amount I was eating meaning being hungry wasn't a common feeling I had), this carried over after the relationship since I got use to eating such a small amount regularly. I have to smoke weed to get hungry, straight up I couldn't afford weed these past couple of days and i just remember forcing myself to eat a few fries from Wendy's and puking from not eating the other day. I fucking LOVE food, I used to be a semi pro soccer player eating two steaks and a bowl of mashed potatoes after every game, how much I would give to eat like that again. Happy ending though, I have been making progress being able to eat about a meal a day with the occasional missed days. I generally only miss a meal when I have a big work day, I also have adhd so I tend to forget if I ate sometimes when I have a busy schedule.

Even sumo wrestlers, who actually have more muscles than fat and have less visceral fat (the type of fat that clumps around your organs) die much earlier than the average Japanese male. They die 20+ years apart to be exact, and these are the people who're actually intaking a healthy diet and do daily exercises. Of course, it has to be disclaimed that they _are_ athletes, so they perform in very vigorous activities, but at the very least they actually prove to be exercising a lot. I however have yet to see someone overweight and is very active in sports other than a sumo wrestler.
for awhile my family was overweight (were poor couldn't afford good food) and when i turned around 10 my mom got a nice new job and i was amazingly healthier and so were my siblings, her and my dad. I slimmed out very nicely and in no way am i skinny right now but im really happy that the change happened because im happy being healthier and it really fixed mine and my siblings relationships with food.

For the past 2 years I've been trying to eat healthy and less and moving around to lose some extra pounds so that I can live a better life without regularly having to take meds for my condition. I’m been big all my life, I’m 5’7 my heaviest I was 260 and my smallest I was 182 currently I’m 221 and I feel like shit. The reason I feel am is because I just haven’t give a shit about my diet or exercise I’m definitely gonna start paying a lot more attention to my diet and exercise. Yesterday I did 100 push ups and that felt good. I know it’s gonna take time but I’ve lost weight before and I can do it again.

But the damage i took from being regular overweight fat, mentally, wasn’t worth it. i’m slightly chubby now because of recovery weight, and my body doesn’t know how to metabolize normally for a minute, but i’m healthy and exercising, and i’ve never been more healthy. Being fat isn’t healthy. neither was it when i was too skinny. I was just as insecure at both extremes. Basically just be healthy LOL

1:49 is so great to hear. I grew up the biggest child in my family and I was bullied because not only was super fat, I had eczema, dark skin and didn't dress in fashion. I also love how my parents gave me constant reminders that they couldn't find clothes my size(my siblings constantly got clothes and shoes but NOT ME) and that I need to lose weight. When I was in 5th grade, I was already 198 pounds. Because of this, I now don't even leave my house, pretty sure I gained an eating disorder which doesn't help, I talk to myself because there is no one else, I also believe a have a personality disorder, autism and ADHD or OCD. I have constant headaches and because I have no money, I can't afford a therapist so that's why I am here ranting. It's honestly very frustrating. Oops. Sorry. Didn't mean to get carried away. I will still post this though.
Never give up. Even if you just start with short walks, you can work your way up to more intense workouts and diets. I believe in you bro.

my brother grew up chubbier than most, maybe not *obese*, but it was hard for him to move around a lot because of his weight. Now, he works out, and although he hasn't reached his goal yet, I can see the progress, cause he has muscles now, and can lift heavier weights than i can ;v;

Taylor swift openly talked about having an eating disorder before. People that struggle with these often times experience body dysmorphia. Acting as if she isn’t allowed to feel insecure, just because of your own view of her is very ignorant. Calling her “as smart as a sack of peanuts”, when she has some of the most profound lyrics in the industry also just shows that you’re not familiar with her. I am not blaming anyone for not knowing these things about her but I don’t think it’s necessary to talk this way about a person that you obviously know very little about.

I'm skinny and have a eating disorder. I unfortunately was in a mentally abusive relationship where I could only afford food for myself and my dog, but my boyfriend didn't have a income so I chose to feed him and my dog over myself. the relationship ended soon after I was hospitalized for being mal nourished (at this point I was content with the amount I was eating meaning being hungry wasn't a common feeling I had), this carried over after the relationship since I got use to eating such a small amount regularly. I have to smoke weed to get hungry, straight up I couldn't afford weed these past couple of days and i just remember forcing myself to eat a few fries from Wendy's and puking from not eating the other day. I fucking LOVE food, I used to be a semi pro soccer player eating two steaks and a bowl of mashed potatoes after every game, how much I would give to eat like that again. Happy ending though, I have been making progress being able to eat about a meal a day with the occasional missed days. I generally only miss a meal when I have a big work day, I also have adhd so I tend to forget if I ate sometimes when I have a busy schedule.

Even sumo wrestlers, who actually have more muscles than fat and have less visceral fat (the type of fat that clumps around your organs) die much earlier than the average Japanese male. They die 20+ years apart to be exact, and these are the people who're actually intaking a healthy diet and do daily exercises. Of course, it has to be disclaimed that they _are_ athletes, so they perform in very vigorous activities, but at the very least they actually prove to be exercising a lot. I however have yet to see someone overweight and is very active in sports other than a sumo wrestler.

Splotchmaker's attitude is extremely exhausting
for awhile my family was overweight (were poor couldn't afford good food) and when i turned around 10 my mom got a nice new job and i was amazingly healthier and so were my siblings, her and my dad. I slimmed out very nicely and in no way am i skinny right now but im really happy that the change happened because im happy being healthier and it really fixed mine and my siblings relationships with food.

I’m been big all my life, I’m 5’7 my heaviest I was 260 and my smallest I was 182 currently I’m 221 and I feel like shit. The reason I feel am is because I just haven’t give a shit about my diet or exercise I’m definitely gonna start paying a lot more attention to my diet and exercise. Yesterday I did 100 push ups and that felt good. I know it’s gonna take time but I’ve lost weight before and I can do it again.

i’ve had all three main EDs. All were bad. but i was never fat fat. But the damage i took from being regular overweight fat, mentally, wasn’t worth it. i’m slightly chubby now because of recovery weight, and my body doesn’t know how to metabolize normally for a minute, but i’m healthy and exercising, and i’ve never been more healthy. Being fat isn’t healthy. neither was it when i was too skinny. I was just as insecure at both extremes. Basically just be healthy LOL
