Why I UPGRADED my Coffee Machine | Unboxing the Nespresso CitiZ + Aeroccino 3 | eboniivoryblog

It has been a journey! But I finally decided to take that plunge and order the Nespresso CitiZ Coffee Machine with Aeroccino 3 milk frother! I upgraded from my Tassimo Vivy 2 which I had for a year and I am so glad I made the swap.
In this video, I unbox the Nespresso machine, set it up and make my first coffee. I also talk you through the coffee pods I am excited to try.

This is literally the same situation I had - I first bought a Tassimo machine but I found the coffee really watery and didn't feel worth it - tempted to purchase a Nespresso machine now

Yes! Seems like a common theme! I love coffee so much and the Tassimo just wasn’t good enough!

I just ordered this machine because the original pods are cheaper and a wider range of brands of coffees I like. I currently have the vertuoline and it’s not worth it lol. I mean it’s nice to only have to deal with pods for espresso to large quantity but it’s just better to get the original line and maybe a $30 coffee machine for multiple people when needed.

I’ve had the Tassimo Vivy 2 for a while, and the G/F has just asked for a Nespresso CitiZ for her b’day, so I thought I would upgrade too. The b’day gift will be new, but I’m going for a used eBay bargain - I’m a tight Yorkshireman 😉
I have a problem now though . . . . what do I do with the Tassimo and the countless unused pods 🤔

( I was looking for reviews of CitiZ and have been for few months now)
I really want to get 1 but I’ve seen reviews and few people mentioned the machine vibrates really loud and cups slip off mid pour because of the loud and strong vibration (so you’d have to stay and watch it or the cup will slip off and spill)
Any accidents?

Hi Tazz, welcome :) so! The machine is fairly loud, yes, however, I never had an issue with the mug flying off or anything like that! I did, however, upgrade to a Nespresso last year (which I did a video about) and would recommend investing in over a Tassimo (especially if you’re a coffee lover like me!) It is hot enough to drink safely straight away! So if you like it piping, maybe do in the microwave!
