    The Nespresso Aeroccino 3 and the redesigned Aeroccino 4 milk frothers are both really popular milk frothers. Regular viewers will know that I am terrible at frothing milk and I use the Aeorccino milk frothers regularly.
    There are two models we'll compare, the Aeroccino 3 vs 4. The Aeroccino 4 was recently redesigned and makes this more interesting. I'll go through the different design, frothing textures, and ease of cleaning for each model.
    We'll froth a lot of milk in this video, comparing different settings, different milk (dairy vs oat) and give some more tips to highlight Find out which milk frother suits your needs and preferences, and explore the benefits of upgrading to the Aeroccino 4.

    UPDATE: I don't recommend putting the Aeroccino 4 in the dishwasher. After several tries, the dishwasher dulled the bottom electrical connection and caused the Aero4 to spin slower. After a week, the whisk speed returns to normal, but I won't put it back in the dishwasher. Besides, a rinse and light cloth scrub will get out any milk after use. The Aero 4 non-stick ceramic coating is better than the Aero 3. Disappointing issue for an otherwise very good upgrade.
    Also, has anyone tried switching the bases for the Aeroccino 3 and 4? Are they interchangeable?

      I suspect this is a detergent problem, honestly. If you're using a tab or pod or whatever prepackaged dosage of detergent, those are typically much harsher and will cause issues like this. Those tabs are handy, but they are suboptimal for cleaning. A powder prerinse and gel wash cycle has been the best in my experiences -- the powder is a lower dose and faster, works to break things down without harming the dishes, and the gel is a gentler but higher dose that runs for longer.
      YMMV, but worth considering in my opinion!

      I have owned one of these for over a year and have never felt the need to put mine in a dishwasher, just a quick rinse under the tap and a sponge clean with warm water and washing up liquid is more than enough to keep it clean.

    You can use the lid to control the milk texture because the lid traps heat and makes the Aeroccino froth faster, leading to a less textured milk. So:
    leave the lid on while frothing = faster froth and less foam; Lid off = slower froth and more foam.

    Very informative and great video, It would be nice to see the Smeg milk frother compared as well. I was wondering though is the aerocino 4 nonstick coated on the inside like the aerocino 3? I would rather have no nonstick coating since you can scrap it off if you use a metal spoon and since nonstick if pretty unfriendly to the environment.

      The Aeroccino 4 has a ceramic interior while Aeroccino 3 is Teflon. The interior is more durable and scratches less than the Aero 3. Can’t say whether it’s nonstick. I’ll look into the Smeg!

    Aerochino 4 doesnt work at all for me, i will try one last time today with lactose free milk, after that ive tried every permutation and all i got is hot milk with a tiny bit of froth on top, which i could easily just do in the microwave. So one more chance and then its going straight back to Amazon (hope its paying attention)...

    • @craftcoffeespot
      @craftcoffeespot  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      For that milk, you should return it. Some milks don’t froth, usually more esoteric milks or really low in fat/protein milks. No problems with dairy milk, and oat (from Oatly or Trader Joe’s), but some milks won’t froth without the right fat or protein content.
      You can try a whole milk to see what’s possible - if that doesn’t work, then it truly is defective and you should tell Nespresso…
      I still love the Aeroccino 4. I am trying other frothers, from breville to cheap options, and Aeroccino is the best.

      @@craftcoffeespot I got it to work finally, i was about to just return it. The cold setting works really well, i think also the amount has to be very precise for it to work optimally.
