GIRL! Tried this hack with the pumpkin spice pods & my new pop machine. Perfection. Wasn’t it as a coffee pod, which is why they were hanging around for so long. Ordered the coconut pods as well just to brew as a double shot. THANK YOU 🎉🎉🎉

This is really good to know. I just turned a pike place pod into a double espresso! That makes me happy as I realize since getting this machine I only really like it as an espresso maker, don’t care for the full coffees it makes. Now I can use my larger pods :)

I did today sith hal decaff which is big cup, was suprised of the small amount come out😁 i thiught it will double the intense of taste not less water but make semsw :)

@Alex Mojica hi! Just made an iced salted caramel latte with Caramel Cookie as a double espresso. It worked perfectly, but I'm just not a fan of this pod 😔. I'll have to try it with Melozio, Odacio.
thank you for all your insights..I had 3 Vertuo Next each one had major issues...I am getting the vertuo plus hopefully that will be better..yes I hate the open and close feature to me I needed 2 hands sometimes to close and lock it.. hope the plus is better....

After some setup issues, It works on my Vertuo Next, even displaying the turquoise flashing light while brewing. I had to remove/reinstall the Nespresso app and reset the machine to get it to pair and add wifi. Then double tapping on the start button did the trick. Thanks I did not have to wait for overnight update, it worked immediately.

I have the vertuo next machine. And I’ve tried doing this hack, but it seems like the coffee comes out watery. It doesn’t come out as rich and dark as yours. Mine comes out on a light brown color, As if the first brew came out, and the second brew was more water than coffee if that makes sense. Also, my machine doesn’t update as it should. The last time I had to update the machine, I literally had it plugged in for close to a week, and it finally upgraded. But at the same time I am one of those people that never leaves things plugged in so that’s my bad.

I bought my Nespresso vertuo pop plus a few days ago and have tried brewing different pod flavors/sizes and everything I’ve brewed tastes so BURNT and nasty. Idk what to do. It legit tastes like cigarette ashes. I’ve done everything even when mixing with my milks and things they’re just so bad. I literally want to cry bc of how much this machine/coffee is hyped up. Any suggestions on what I should do?
Please try the limited Nespresso Starbucks Reserve remix blend pod for vertuo. It's sooo good and would love to hear your thoughts on it

Do you prefer the Nespresso Plus or Next? I’m looking at the Plus Target has in white or the Next in white. So people say the next is more bitter and not as hot. Just wondering if you experienced this as well. Thank you!!

Does it work with a ristretto pod? I like it, but 25ml is like a punch in my face LOL if we could brew 80ml it would be perfect!
Then it would be too watery the amount of grounds is not enough to do that

Hello how are you ? I would like recommendations I’m looking to purchase an Nespresso coffee machine. This is my first time buying from this company and I’m very nervous I don’t know which one is best for me. I love cold coffee my goal is to make my favorite drinks I usually buy from Starbucks and save money. Which machine you recommend to buy for first time buyers? So many reviews online and I’m skeptical to make a wrong purchase. I love your channel and it makes me more excited to own an Nespresso.
Hi please watch my video titled which machine should I buy. Essentially you need to decide wether you want an original line machine or a vertuo machine. Once you decide on that, it gets easier with choosing models from either line. I prefer vertuo plus machine from vertuo line and citiz from original line is great to start. But watch that video first
I tried this, but my machine didn't do anything after I hot the button twice, it made a sound then nothing. It did the overnight update. :(

If you like large amounts of coffee then go with the pop. It can brew nespresso alto pods and the vertuo plus doesn’t. If you don’t care to try those then I’d go with the plus
Do you get the coconut notes in the caramel pod? The old one had notes of coconut which made it so yummy! I was told by someone else that this one doesn't. :(
I never really tasted coconut in the old ones
What happens if you put a carafe pod in the pop+ will it still brew it? I mean I can just bring it to the edge of my counter and hold the carafe while it pours. If you tell me the machine won't read it at all then I guess I would go with a Next that I would update...

DANG!! I was looking for a Vertuo Pop on Amazon, couldn't find it. I read all the bad reviews on the Next...the Plus seemed to be a lot better. I couldn't find the Pop, so I ordered a Creatista Plus. :( Gaaah!! I have a LOT of neurological (ALS) hand issues. so maybe not for me sadly. Nespresso is releasing the Vertuo Creatista on April 17th. It's a Vertuo Next with a Creatista steam wand in all stainless steel for $749. Pass on that. too expensive to have potential 'Next' problems in s single combo unit.
As long as you’re aware that creatista plus doesn’t take any of the capsules I showed in the video

my nespresso vertuo will not do this? wish it would work
I mentioned in the video what I do for vertuo plus. But it will not pair to the phone like the other machines so everything will be manual for vertuo plus

@@_Alexmojica Yeah I went on the app and paired and updated everything and it still only will brew with the 1 press. If I press 2 times fast, it will make the “whirring” sound of the pod spinning and will act like it’s going to brew and then will stop 😭
I paired it with my phone and all I get is the turquoise light that blinks a couple times. It makes me think it’ll brew the double shot then the little coffee mug turns red then back to white. And no coffee is brewed at all 🥴 I’ll keep trying. Maybe mine is the 24hour thing to update. We’ll see
someone said it will do the update overnight so maybe it hasn't fully updated yet after pairing. I would call nespresso for more support

You have to go to your manual and look for reprogramming. You’ll need to reprogram each pod to double.
Seems like a way for Nespresso to get us to pay more for a smaller drink 😂

My only confusion is why not buy the cheaper double expresso pods in the first place, rather than waste a full cup pod 😂😂
@@LesSwanton it might just be a convenience thing, like whatever you’ve got on hand at that point. Idk like for me I use double espresso only but have a bunch of coffee size samples I don’t normally use but now I could.
(*espresso) vertuo line doesn’t have much espresso variety. Some will buy coffee pods and not like them at all. Then try this way to shorten the brew for a double espresso and find they taste better. It’s not a “waste” at that point if you find yourself have a better cup of coffee at that point.
Don't like the way the machine opens, early coffee needs to be hassle free 😂
It will be a struggle for my 3-yr-old nephew who likes to make me coffee in the morning 🤦♀️

how's the crema with the pop? when i changed from next to plus i noticed that the plus produces way better crema than the next
I’m not a fan of crema on vertuo to begin with so I always either ignore it or remove it but I feel like it’s the same
Can you fit a Vertuo alto (glass) mug under the pop+ if you remove the cupholder? I'm assuming it won't fit unless you do but not being able to fit a big (tall) mug under there is a dealbreaker for me... thanks
